Abstract

De tijdens het inventariserend veldonderzoek gehanteerde onderzoeksmethode is conform het PvE. Ook de 32 boorlocaties zijn direct uit het PvE overgenomen, met als enige aanpassingen dat een tweetal boringen in het zuidelijke deel, ter hoogte van het te slopen pand verzet zijn vanwege aanwezige vervuiling in de bodem. Binnen het pand in het zuiden van het onderzoeksgebied, is met behulp van 5 mechanische beton-boringen de verharding verwijderd. De boorlocaties en maaiveldhoogtes zijn ingemeten met behulp van GPS. Binnen het pand is dit niet gelukt en zijn de boorlocaties met meetlinten ingemeten en is de hoogte genomen van de vloer net buiten het pand en is deze waarde voor al deze 5 boringen overgenomen. Direct onder maaiveld is er geboord met een Edelmanboor met een diameter van 7 cm. Vanaf circa 100 cm is er geboord met een guts met een diameter van 3 cm. De boringen zijn uitgevoerd tot in de top van de zandige afzettingen van Calais, tot een diepte van maximaal 460 cm. Het opgeboorde sediment is verbrokkeld en/of versneden en geïnspecteerd op de aanwezigheid van archeologische indicatoren. Met extra nauwkeurigheid is gekeken naar de bodemtrajecten die, zoals eerder beschreven, een hoog verwachtingspatroon toebedeeld hebben gekregen. De boringen zijn lithologisch beschreven conform de NEN 5104 en bodemkundig geïnterpreteerd
