Abstract

Cuando hubo la gran enfermedad un tomaraho llamado Conito impidi�� la llegada de los m��dicos y las vacunas. Conito era arrebytoso [de la zona de arrebyt, hacia el interior del Chaco] y estaban en conflicto con los duweroso [m��s cercanos a las l��neas de tren de Casado y Sastre], ese conflicto data de antes de la guerra y a ��l se debi�� la muerte de Guido Boggiani. Conito es hijo de an��bsor [del anabsor Wiau]: su madre tomaraho fue capturada por los ybytoso y violada, luego escap�� y naci�� Conito, que no era totalmente humano. Hubo un gran conflicto entre Conito y Chicharr��n cuando lleg�� la enfermedad. Conito provoc�� a Chicharr��n con su machete mientras ��ste com��a una sand��a. Chicharr��n no reaccion�� inmediatamente, sino que se visti�� y luego fue a buscar a Conito, a quien dispar��. No lo remat��. Chicharr��n es llamado a Puerto Casado para explicar el incidente y Chicharr��n explica que Conito era responsable de la muerte de todos los tomaraho, los m��dicos acreditan la historia y los soldados tiran el cuerpo de Conito al r��o.
