Abstract

The faience set that is going to be studied here comes from a closed group that was found in archaeological excavations in 2009 in the Carbajal Solís’s house, located at the number 10 of La Rúa Street, the city of Oviedo (Asturias, Spain). Its chronology covers the last time of the Middle Age Period and Early Modern period. By applying a comprehensive methodology, we have tried for the one hand not only to create several typologies aimed at providing forms or tables of ceramic chronologies but we have tried to trace their historical importance. 'is helps us to clarify a number of issues related to the origin of the pieces. At the same time, it allowed us to obtain comprehensive information about the ceramic productions of the Iberian Peninsula and Europe between the late Middle Age and Early Modern period. 'erefore, this set is con&gured as a meeting point between di-erent realities as the purely Iberian tradition, the Mediterranean tradition and the north European tradition.
