La circulación de la prensa católica costarricense en los años 1930. Un análisis de <em>Eco Católico</em>

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la circulación del periódico Eco Católico a lo largo de la década de 1930. Se intenta dar respuesta a cuatro problemáticas principales: ¿cómo se organizaba la distribución de sus ejemplares?, ¿cuál era el perfil de los agentes de esta publicación?, ¿dónde se distribuían las copias de este periódico?, ¿por qué se escogían estas comunidades o parroquias? Se concluye que el órgano del clero secular costarricense circuló ampliamente en las parroquias del Valle Central, mientras que en aquellas que se hallaban más alejadas, su venta encontró mayores obstáculos.
