Abstract

Περιέχει το πλήρες κείμενο Οι ψηφιακές βιβλιοθήκες είναι πραγματικότητα. Η ανάπτυξη τους είναι ραγδαία τα τελευταία χρόνια. Το πολυπολιτισμικό περιεχόμενο τους ενισχύεται και διευρύνεται, ειδικά μέσα από προσπάθειες όπως η Europeana, η Ευρωπαϊκή Ψηφιακή Βιβλιοθήκη. Η εργασία αυτή, αναλύει θέματα όπως, πρότυπα και διαλειτουργικότητα μεταδεδομένων, μετανάστευση μεταδεδομένων στη Europeana, κα. Επίσης, περιγράφει πώς το Ευρωπαϊκό Πρόγραμμα EuropeanaLocal ενισχύει το πολυπολιτισμικό περιεχόμενο της Europeana. Αναλύει τα μέχρι σήμερα αποτελέσματα του και τις προσπάθειες των ελληνικών πολιτιστικών οργανισμών να υλοποιήσουν τα πρότυπα διαλειτουργικότητας που απαιτούνται για τη συμμετοχή τους στο εγχείρημα αυτό. Τέλος, δίνει έμφαση στις δυνατότητες συμμετοχής και άλλων ελληνικών πολιτιστικών οργανισμών στο EuropeanaLocal μέχρι τη λήξη του, τον Ιούνιο του 2011.
