Un nuovo metodo d’indagine scientifica dei documenti numismatici: DIANA (Digital Iconographic Atlas of Numismatics in Antiquity). Il caso studio della triskeles
El artículo analiza la figura de triskeles, presente en innumerables documentos numismáticos, de acuerdo con el método científico de LIN, Lexicon Iconográfica Numismática, y con el apoyo del portal en la nube DIANA, Atlas Digital Iconográfico de Numismática en la Antigüedad (http://ww2.unime.it/diana/). Los dos proyectos pusieron mucha atención en el examen de iconografías monetarias. Este tipo de investigación científica se basa en el análisis diatópico y el espacio diacrónico de sujetos icónicos. También presta especial atención a la historia y localización de facturas de tick, a través del procesamiento de mapas digitales, interconectando la herramienta GIS.
The article analyzes the figure of triskeles - present on countless numismatic documents - according to the LIN's scientific method, Lexicon Iconographicum Numismaticae, and with the support of the DIANA cloud portal, Digital Iconographic Atlas of Numismatics in Antiquity (http://ww2.unime.it/diana/). The two projects put a great deal of attention on the examination of monetary iconographies. This type of scientific investigation is based on the diatopic and the diachronic analysis of iconic subjects. It also gives special attention to the history and localization of tick bills, through digital maps processing, interfacing the GIS tool.

2 CACCAMO CALTABIANO 2007; Il LIN vanta, dal 2005, il patrocinio dell'International Numismatic Council e dal 2009 quello dell'Accademia dei Lincei. Il progetto è finalizzato alla realizzazione di un Lessico Iconografico Monetale, una sorta di vocabolario i cui lemmi registrino tutte le immagini principali e secondarie presenti sulle monete antiche. Lo scopo è quello di spiegarne il significato, applicando un metodo quanto più possibile obiettivo e scientifico. “Semata e Signa” è una Collana di Studi di Iconografia monetale diretta da Maria Caccamo Caltabiano. Nasce come raccolta di studi e di incontri seminariali a carattere metodologico, propedeutici alla realizzazione del Lexicon Iconographicum Numismaticae (LIN).
