Abstract: Cinema Belgica is a platform for sharing, enriching and analysing data on cinema history in Belgium from 1896 onwards. The data itself derives from fourteen existing datasets covering key aspects of film production, distribution, exhibition, programming, censorship, and reception. In 2018, an interuniversity infrastructure project (FWO Hercules) was set up between the University of Ghent, the University of Antwerp, and the University of Amsterdam to integrate these different datasets into a single database. It currently contains 26600 films, 3258 cinemas, 10658 people, 16801 programmes and 12002 companies.
