Abstract
This video clip was filmed by Bronwen Clacherty on 3 March 2018, in Makunduchi, Zanzibar, Tanzania. It shows Bibi Fatuma, and her singing group, singing the song “Mize Mize” for Babu Bindu. This video accompanies Bronwen Clacherty’s (2021) PhD dissertation entitled “Understanding the History of Women's Lives in Zanzibar Through Song and Story: A Gendered Perspective.”
