    Analyzing a scientific institution and its protagonists in diachronic perspective also entails different levels of (self)assessment - retrospection, introspection, and extrospection, which also points out to turmoils, stratifications, and contradictions of scientific temporal strategies. In this paper I am interpreting processes of the establishment of normative strategies, institutional politics, construction of collectivities, and individual aspirations at the Institute of Ethnography SASA from 1947 until present. Historical self-reflection encompasses five options through which scientific subjectivities and objectivities were formed and confronted: 1. Routinization of meaningful systems and sliding individual inventiveness; 2. Efficiency of the institutional order and distinctiveness in reaching scientific goals; 3. Determined order and individual agility in the zone of enterprising and skillful activism; 4. Consistency of scientific order and constant dynamics in the zones of public visibility; 5. Verifiability in accordance with institutional standards and coordinated work at the collegial level. Age, microfacies and depositional realm of the Grivska Formation is controversially discussed due to the fact that detailed investigations are missing. Based on reinvestigations of the type locality of the Grivska Formation and in adjacent areas, the following results can be drawn: 1) The Grivska Formation is of Late Triassic (Early Carnian to Rhaetian) age according to conodont dating. 2) Sedimentological and microfacies studies evidenced that the Grivska Formation was deposited on the continental slope and transitional to the Neo-Tethys Ocean. Based on the results of these investigations in the type area and several reference sections in the Dinaridic Ophiolite Belt, the Grivska Formation is emended and clearly defined. In the Dinaridic Ophiolite Belt, the Grivska Formation occurs only as clasts and blocks in the ophiolitic melange. In the course of several decades at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, fundamental studies in the field of neurosciences were of great importance and continually up-to-date with global scientific achievements. These studies were applied by using the stereotactic method, single unit recording and electroencephalography. Laboratory of Neurophysiology was established in 1965 and since 1978 microelectrode and microiontophoretic techniques important for the registration and analysis of the activity of individual neurons were fully developed. Under the great influence of Russian neurophysiological school (P.K. Anokhin, K.V. Sudakov) the emphasis was on the study of the theory of Anokhin’s functional systems. Recently, epilepsy, brain ischemia and the influence of different medications, auxiliary medicinal products and physical agents (electromagnetic radiation) on central nervous system, behaviour, learning and investigated pathological conditions have been studied. Scientific collaboration with renowned institutions in the country and abroad was established, numerous scientific projects were relized, expert international meetings were organized and numerous significant studies were published. These results have often been the basis for further clinical investigations and the improvement of preventive or curative treatment of patients. Researchers from the Laboratory participated in the education of new generations of neurophysiologists encouraging their scientific curiosity and love for fascinating mechanisms of nervous system functioning.

    This document employs a statistical approach in exploring language and extracting linguistic forms there contained, so as to identify the linguistic forms which are most frequently used in legal documents. Thus retrieved data, as the second part of this paper shows, can be used to research information, analyze references and links, trace pathways between correlating legal documents and establish the relevance of legal documents on the grounds of their mutual correlation. The retrieved data can further be utilized in various other manners. The methodology of this research and thus attained information form a good basis and act as input data for numerous further analyses.

    Quaternary deposits on the banks of the Sava River in the Belgrade area have a significant thickness and they are represented by genetically different formations. The data about these sediments were obtained by exploration of two relatively shallow boreholes, RB 47/P-1 and RB 53/P-1, located on the left bank of the Sava River. Two genetic entities are distinguished: the lacustrine-palustrine deposits of Plio-Pleistocene age and alluvial deposits of Pleistocene and Holocene age. Deposits of the Plio-Pleistocene are clearly different, both lithologically and palaeontologically, from the overlying alluvial deposits. Lithologically similar fluvial deposits of the Pleistocene and Holocene age were distinguished according to their palaeontological characteristics, particulary by the presence of bivalve genera Corbicula and Dreissena.     Authors: Válka Miroslav;

    The ethnographic area of Haná in Central Moravia (Czech Republic) has been among distinctive ethnographic regions since the 16th century. Even though traditional regional forms had gradually disappeared as a consequence of the modernization of village life, these returned alongside new functions in terms of national consciousness from the late 19th century. It was the intelligentsia, mainly teachers, priests, physicians and artists, who contributed to the spread of these forms. The personalities´ activities did not stop even in the 20th century. The teacher Marie Pachtová (born 1932) is an example of one such person (in study by Miroslav Válka). She not only led a children´s folklore ensemble, moderated programmes aimed at presentation of folklore, and worked as a lector, but she also tries to involve older folk traditions of Haná in the present cultural calendar of the town where she lives. Among other things, she was instrumental in the preservation of the production of Easter eggs from Haná which are decorated with stuck-on straw. She paid similar attention to the ceremonial pastries. With the focus of this example, it is possible to prove the transformations of regional culture´s expression into the contemporary social life as well as the mechanism of the creation of a new tradition.

    Tourism development planning requires consideration of indicators regarding the intensity of tourist activity within destination and measure that should not be exceeded in further improvement of this activity, in order to prevent disturbing the needs of local community and sustainability of local environment. The village Zlakusa is located within the territory of the City of Užice and it represents an important tourism destination of South-western Serbia. Rural tourism of Zlakusa is characterized by its authenticity and recognition, regarding the pottery and ethnopark called “Terzića avlija”. Accordingly, tourist function indicators were used in this research: tourist accommodation density, Defert Baretje’s index, Charvat’s index and Schneider’s index, with the aim of emphasizing the importance of rural potentials of Zlakusa for tourism development within this village, but also within the whole territory of the City of Užice. Research results showed that tourism is important industry within Zlakusa, with necessity of its further affirmation on tourist market and its adaptation to contemporary needs of modern tourists. Also, research results showed that Zlakusa participates in total tourist arrivals with 18%, as well as in total tourist overnights with 13% and it comprises 1.9% of accommodation capacities of the overall tourism development within the City of Užice for observed period (2008-2016). Therefore, results of this study actually show that Zlakusa is highly oriented towards tourism industry, which is the main reason of necessity for further improvement of conditions for its development, especially in the case of rural tourism, without threatening the local community and local environment. Otorhinolaryngology Clinic, which is an integral part of Vojvodina Clinical Centre, is the first teaching base of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology from 1964. It was founded only four years after the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, pursuant to the faculty’s decision. From the beginning and until now ninety professors and assistants were their consistent part. The Department of Otorhinolaryngology joined the organization of the teaching process at the Faculty of Medicine, according to the Bologna Declaration’s guidelines from 2005. Since this year 2017, the teachers of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology will conduct theoretical and practical teaching in ten teaching subjects in the Serbian language as a part of the first degree studies. For the purpose of taking specialist exams from 2016, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology has two specialist commissions, and from the previous period a commission for the examination of narrow specializations in audiology and phoniatry. The Department od Otorhinolaryngology celebrated 50th anniversary since its establishment in 2014 year. The Department of Otorhinolaryngology has been and now is a nursery for the best personnel in the field of Otorhinolaryngology in Serbia and in Vojvodina. Through the decades of its existence success can be seen through numerous student awards and recognitions which are the best proof for continuous work on acquiring new and expanding existing knowledge.

    Authors: Babić Valentina;

    The paper discusses the structure and carved decoration of the restored marble sanctuary screen from the island of Koločep near Dubrovnik. Based on the early medieval history of present-day southern Dalmatia and the fragmentary inscription commemorating a queen as the donor of the screen, it may be concluded that she was one of the Serbian Doclean (Duklja) queens from the second half of the eleventh century. The inscription is the only evidence that the kings of Dioclea ruled over the Elaphite islands. The carved decoration is typical of the Middle Byzantine period (9th-12th century), with some regional traits. The only exceptions are the figures of putti. They can be associated with Romanesque architectural sculpture in southern Italy created in the late eleventh century, after the Norman conquest of this region. The author puts forward the hypothesis that the donor was Queen Jaquinta, wife of King Bodin (1081-1101), who was a Norman woman from Bari.

    Authors: Blagojević Gordana;

    This work focuses on the role of the amateur theatre King David, founded in 1986 with the Jewish community of Belgrade, in the preservation of Jewish cultural heritage and establishing of intercultural dialogue primarily on the microlevel of a neighbourhood, but also within a wider community framework.1 Over the last thirty yeras the theatre has been devotedly run by one person, Mirijam Salom, who also writes play scipts, makes song arrangements and directs plays. Members of the theatre group are mostly primary and secondary school children and university students. The fact that most of them are not actually of Jewish but of Serbian descent is a sort of a phenomenon. In this way, the theatre has an educational role in presenting Jewish culture primarily to the young people who actively participate in plays and consequently to their family members and the Belgrade audience. One of the aims of this research is to give some answers to questions concerning the role of the theatre in the lives of the young people who take part in it as well as the reception of the plays with the audience.

    Quaternary deposits on the banks of the Sava River in the Belgrade area have a significant thickness and they are represented by genetically different formations. The data about these sediments were obtained by exploration of two relatively shallow boreholes, RB 47/P-1 and RB 53/P-1, located on the left bank of the Sava River. Two genetic entities are distinguished: the lacustrine-palustrine deposits of Plio-Pleistocene age and alluvial deposits of Pleistocene and Holocene age. Deposits of the Plio-Pleistocene are clearly different, both lithologically and palaeontologically, from the overlying alluvial deposits. Lithologically similar fluvial deposits of the Pleistocene and Holocene age were distinguished according to their palaeontological characteristics, particulary by the presence of bivalve genera Corbicula and Dreissena.     Authors: Válka Miroslav;

    Authors: Babić Valentina;

    Authors: Blagojević Gordana;
