    Authors: Gómez López, Arley;

    La vida y obra de los personajes de la historia de la ciencia puede ser analizada por los historiadores a través de un prisma formado por artistas subjetivas que corresponden a sus propios pensamientos, percepción e imaginación, lo que conduce a que con frecuencia resultan imágenes distorsionadas que dan origen a mitos. El presente artículo invita al lector a reflexionar sobre las imágenes plasmadas por los historiadores, acerca de algunos protagonistas de la ciencia y de su entorno. The life and work of the characters in the history of science can be studied by historians through the subjective edges of a prism formed by their own thoughts, perceptions and imagination, which means that it often results in distorted images that give rise to myths. This paper makes an invitation to critically analyze those images captured by historians about some of the main characters of science and their environment.

    Orientador: Silvia Cordeiro Nassif Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes Resumo: Este trabalho compreende uma investigação acerca de como acontece a transmissão da cultura musical no ensino de instrumento, permeada pelas desigualdades no ensino formal de Música e por questões de acesso e apropriação da cultura de modo geral. Para isso, partimos do conceito de herança cultural do sociólogo Pierre Bourdieu somado à influência das interações com o meio colocada pelo psicólogo Lev Vigotski. Uma questão que se entrelaça com essa é a da dominação cultural: a ideia de que algumas manifestações culturais, aquelas reconhecidas pelas elites, são superiores à cultura popular. Foi traçada uma reflexão sobre como a indústria cultural contribui para perpetuar a estrutura de dominação a partir da transmissão da ideologia dominante. De maneira prática, foi realizado um estudo de caso em um projeto social municipal de ensino de instrumento, na cidade de Campinas-SP, com vinte e três estudantes das turmas de violoncelo, viola, clarinete e trompete e suas professoras e professores. Após a observação de aulas, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas para levantar dados sobre as experiências familiares com a música e outras linguagens artísticas, motivações para estudar, gosto musical, relação com o repertório do projeto, entre outras informações relevantes para esta pesquisa. À luz do referencial teórico e utilizando como base metodológica o materialismo histórico dialético, a análise dos dados mostra evidências de que as heranças culturais familiar e escolar têm grande importância para que jovens ingressem em projetos sociais de estudo de instrumento. Com relação ao repertório, nota-se uma combinação da música midiática e da música erudita nas práticas, com considerável abertura para as sugestões trazidas pelas turmas. Foram feitas então considerações de modo a construir possibilidades para que a educação musical seja mais libertadora, buscando dialogar com concepções da escola como potencial transformadora da sociedade. A contribuição que o presente trabalho espera oferecer, desse modo, é apontar caminhos para reduzir as desigualdades no ensino de Música e no acesso e apropriação da cultura Abstract: This work comprises an investigation about how the transmission of music culture happen in the teaching of musical instruments, which is permeated by the inequalities in formal music teaching, as well as in cultural access and appropriation in general. For this we start with Pierre Bourdieu¿s concept of cultural heritage added to the influence of interactions with the environment proposed by psychologist Lev Vigotski. A subject that interweaves with this is that of cultural dominance: the idea that some cultural manifestations, those recognized by the elites, are superior to popular culture. A reflection was drawn about how the cultural industry contributes to perpetuating the structure of dominance, from the transmission of the dominant ideology. In practice, a case study was conducted in a municipal social project of musical instruments teaching in Campinas-SP, with twenty-three students from cello, viola, clarinet and trumpet classes and their teachers. After watching the classes, semi-structured interviews were conducted to retrieve data about their familiar experiences with music and other artistic languages, motivations to study, musical preferences, conection with the project¿s repertoire among other relevant informations. In light of the theoretical references using the historial and dialectical materialism as methodological basis, the data analysis shows evidences that family and school cultural heritages have great importance for young people to enter social projects for musical instrument learning. As for the repertoire, a combination of media and classical music is noted, with considerable openness to sugestions that are brought by the students. Considerations were then made to construct possibilities for music education to be more liberating, trying to dialogue with views about the school as a potentially transformative force of our society. Thus the contribution that this work hopes to offer is to show paths to reduce inequalities in music teaching and in cultural access and apropriation Mestrado Música, Teoria, Criação e Prática Mestra em Música

    Authors: Silva, Felipe Bruno Lima da, 1986-;

    Orientador: Ana Regina Mizrahy Cuperschmid Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Civil, Arquitetura e Urbanismo Resumo: Um dos mais importantes documentos para a avaliação do estado de conservação do Patrimônio Cultural Construído é o Mapa de Danos, cuja função é apresentar de forma sintética e precisa as informações referentes às anomalias identificadas nessas construções, assim como suas ações corretivas. No entanto, esse documento é usualmente produzido em sistemas de representação bidimensional, que não favorecem uma estruturação consistente dessas informações, tampouco a interoperabilidade. A metodologia Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) oferece novas possibilidades para o registro dos danos e patologias, uma vez que toda a documentação pode ser associada a um banco de dados. Adicionalmente, esse banco de dados em HBIM poderia facilitar a atualização dos dados diagnósticos ao longo do ciclo de vida das construções históricas, e permitir um mapeamento sistematizado dessas informações em um modelo BIM. Portanto, o objetivo principal desta pesquisa foi explorar o potencial de HBIM para documentação dos danos e patologias do patrimônio cultural moderno, com vistas a oferecer alternativas para a documentação diagnóstica, usualmente realizada por meio de um Mapa de Danos tradicional. Para permitir experimentações, utilizou-se como objeto de estudo o Edifício E1 da USP São Carlos. A metodologia Design Science Research (DSR) foi utilizada para atingir o objetivo, com foco nas etapas correspondentes à compreensão do problema e investigação de possíveis soluções. A contribuição desta pesquisa reside em evidenciar que é viável utilizar BIM para o desenvolvimento de uma documentação diagnóstica do Patrimônio Cultural Construído, em alternativa ao Mapa de Danos tradicional. Embora nem todas as funcionalidades esperadas tenham sido identificadas no sistema utilizado, foi possível confirmar que o BIM Collaboration Format (BCF) seria um recurso capaz de abarcar as necessidades de uma documentação diagnóstica. Com base nas diretrizes propostas, para pesquisas futuras, sugere-se o desenvolvimento de um artefato específico que atenda às particularidades do Patrimônio Cultural Construído, representando uma solução disruptiva ao Mapa de Danos tradicional Abstract: An important document for assessing the conservation status of the Built Cultural Heritage is the Damage Map, whose function is to present in a synthetic and precise way the information related to the anomalies identified in these buildings, as well as their corrective actions. However, this document is usually produced in two-dimensional representation systems, which do not favor a consistent structuring of this information, nor interoperability. The Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) offers new possibilities for registering damages and pathologies, since all documentation can be associated with a database. Additionally, this HBIM database could facilitate the updating of diagnostic data throughout the life cycle of historic buildings and allow a systematic mapping of this information in a BIM model. Therefore, this research main objective was to explore HBIM potential to the documentation of damages and pathologies of the modern cultural heritage, with a view to offering alternatives for the diagnostic documentation, usually carried out through a traditional Damage Map. To allow experimentation, E1 Building USP São Carlos was used as the object of study. The Design Science Research (DSR) methodology was used to achieve the objective, focusing on the steps corresponding to understanding the problem and investigating possible solutions. The contribution of this research lies in showing that it is feasible to use BIM for developing diagnostic documentation of the Built Cultural Heritage, as an alternative to the traditional Damage Map. Although not all the expected functionalities have been identified in the system used, it was possible to confirm that BIM Collaboration Format (BCF) would be a resource capable of covering the needs of diagnostic documentation. Based on the proposed guidelines, for future research, it is suggested the development of a specific artifact that meets the particularities of the Built Cultural Heritage, representing a disruptive solution to the traditional Damage Map Mestrado Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade Mestre em Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade

    Authors: Bertuzzo, Gleyd Maria Pereira, 1964-;

    Orientador: Maria Tereza Duarte Paes Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Geociências Resumo: O interesse em investigar a cultura, o Turismo e o Patrimônio Cultural no âmbito da Geografia intensifica-se a partir do movimento chamado de Renovação da Geografia, ou a Nova Geografia, iniciado na década de 1970, quando as manifestações culturais materiais e imateriais, na forma de patrimônio cultural, foram aliadas ao aumento do consumo e da prática do turismo. Tal interesse se amplia com a renovação da Geografia Cultural, nos anos 1980, com a Nova Geografia Cultural. O patrimônio cultural torna-se um tema de especial interesse à Geografia por pelo menos três razões, quer seja pela posse material exercida por sua compreensão espacial, quer seja pela representação espacial, ao identificar relações sociais e de pertencimento com o lugar, ou pelo valor econômico apropriado pelo consumo turístico, tornando-se objeto de políticas públicas para o desenvolvimento territorial urbano, com demandas de novas funções espaciais. No Brasil, os cursos de pós-graduação e a investigação científica nesta temática começam a se estabelecer de forma crescente a partir dos anos 2000. Até o ano de 2014, os Programas de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGG) somavam-se 54 e, no presente momento, são 77, com representatividade em todas as regiões brasileiras. Neste contexto, e como justificativa da corrente pesquisa, nos indagamos como está sendo construída a abordagem geográfica do patrimônio cultural e do Turismo nas defesas de Mestrado e teses de Doutorado defendidas nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Geografia (PPGG) brasileiros, entre 1998 e 2014, com o objetivo de identificar os recortes por eles utilizados; identificar quais foram as metodologias de pesquisa empregadas, quais foram as escalas administrativas ou político-espaciais de análise e, por fim, quais foram as principais categorias geográficas utilizadas. Para a realização da pesquisa utilizamos o recurso metodológico qualitativo e quantitativo da revisão sistemática de análise, por adotar um processo replicável, científico e transparente, que incluiu a coleta, a seleção e a análise-síntese das pesquisas selecionadas. Assim, com a junção destes métodos de análises, pode-se observar que a abordagem geográfica do Patrimônio Cultural e do Turismo têm, em seu cerne de investigação, as técnicas de pesquisas combinadas, as escalas administrativas são preferencialmente de âmbito municipal e que as categorias território, territorialidade e lugar são aquelas que mais apresentaram proximidade com os objetos de pesquisa investigados Abstract: The interest in investigating culture, tourism and cultural heritage within the scope of Geography intensifies from the movement called the Renovation of Geography, or New Geography, which started in the 1970s, when material and immaterial cultural manifestations, such as cultural heritage, were allied to the increase in consumption and the practice of tourism. Such interest is expanded with the renewal of Cultural Geography, in the 1980s, with the New Cultural Geography. Cultural heritage becomes a topic of special interest to Geography for at least three reasons, either because of the material possession exercised by its spatial understanding, or because of its spatial representation, when identifying social relationships and belonging to the place, or because of its economic value appropriated by tourist consumption, becoming the object of public policies for urban territorial development, with demands for new spatial functions. In Brazil, postgraduate courses and scientific investigation in this subject began to be increasingly established in the 2000s. Until 2014, the Postgraduate Programs in Geography (PPGG) totaled 54 and, at the present time, there are 77, with representation in all Brazilian regions. In this context, and as a justification for the current research, we ask ourselves how the geographical approach to cultural heritage and tourism is being constructed in the defense of Masters and Doctoral theses defended in the Brazilian Graduate Programs in Geography (PPGG) between 1998 and 2014, in order to identify the cutouts used by them; identify which research methodologies were used, which were the administrative or political-spatial scales of analysis and, finally, which were the main geographic categories used. To carry out the research, we used the qualitative and quantitative methodological resource of the systematic review of analysis, as it adopted a replicable, scientific and transparent process, which included the collection, selection and synthesis of the selected researches. Thus, with the combination of these analysis methods, it can be observed that the geographical approach to Cultural Heritage and Tourism has, at its core of investigation, combined research techniques, administrative scales are preferably municipal and the categories territory, territoriality and place are those that most closely resembled the investigated research objects Mestrado Análise Ambiental e Dinâmica Territorial Mestra em Geografia CNPQ CAPES 001

    Orientadores: Hélio Pedrini, Zanoni Dias Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Computação. Resumo: Avanços recentes na área de Processamento de Linguagem Natural trouxeram melhores soluções para uma série de tarefas interessantes como Aceitabilidade Linguística, Respostas a Perguntas, Compreensão de Leitura, Inferência de Linguagem Natural e Análise de Sentimento. Neste trabalho, focamos em Análise de Sentimento, que é um campo de pesquisa voltado ao estudo computacional de sentimentos. A Análise de Sentimento possui muitas aplicações práticas como sistemas de recomendação, monitoramento de satisfação de usuários e previsão do resultado de eleições. As tarefas mencionadas são importantes para o avanço da Inteligência Artificial, pois são desafiadoras e podem ser aplicadas em vários problemas. A abordagem tradicional é construir um classificador específico para cada tarefa, entretanto, com a popularização do conceito de pré-treinamento seguido de ajuste fino, tornou-se muito comum a utilização de uma mesma arquitetura em diferentes problemas, por meio de ajuste fino com dados da tarefa em questão. Métodos como ULMFiT, ELMo, BERT e seus derivados obtiveram sucesso substancial em muitas tarefas de Processamento de Linguagem Natural, no entanto, eles compartilham uma desvantagem: para pré-treinar esses modelos do zero, quantidades substanciais de dados e recursos computacionais são necessários. Nesta dissertação, propomos uma nova metodologia para classificar sentimento em textos, baseada no BERT e com foco em emoji, tratando-os como uma importante fonte de sentimento em vez de considerá-los simples tokens de entrada. Além disso, pode-se utilizar um modelo BERT já pré-treinado como ponto de partida para nosso modelo, reduzindo significativamente o tempo total de treinamento necessário. Avaliamos o uso de pré-treinamento adicional com textos contendo pelo menos um emoji. Também empregamos aumentação de dados para melhorar a capacidade de generalização de nosso modelo. Experimentos em dois conjuntos de dados de tweets em português do Brasil -- TweetSentBR e 2000-tweets-BR -- mostram que nossa metodologia produz resultados competitivos em relação aos métodos publicados anteriormente e ao BERT. Abstract: Recent advances in the Natural Language Processing field have brought better solutions to a number of interesting tasks, such as Linguistic Acceptability, Question Answering, Reading Comprehension, Natural Language Inference, and Sentiment Analysis. In this work, we focus on Sentiment Analysis, which is a research field concerned with the computational study of sentiments. Sentiment Analysis has many practical applications, such as recommender systems, user satisfaction monitoring, and election outcome prediction. The aforementioned tasks are important to the advancement of Artificial Intelligence as they are challenging and can be used in many different scenarios. The traditional approach is to build a specific classifier for each task, but with the popularization of the concept of pre-training followed by fine tuning, it has become very common to use the same architecture to solve different problems by fine-tuning it with data from the task at hand. Methods, such as ULMFiT, ELMo, BERT, and their derivatives, have achieved substantial success with many Natural Language Processing tasks, however they share a drawback: to pre-train these models from scratch, substantial amounts of data and computational resources are required. In this dissertation, we propose a novel methodology to classify the sentiment of texts, based on BERT and focusing on emoji, treating them as an important source of sentiment as opposed to considering them simple input tokens. Additionally, it is possible to use a previously pre-trained BERT model to warm start ours, greatly reducing the total training time required. We evaluate the use of additional pre-training using texts which contain at least one emoji. We also employ data augmentation to improve the generalization ability of our model. Experiments on two Brazilian Portuguese tweets datasets -- TweetSentBR and 2000-tweets-BR -- show that our methodology produces competitive results compared to the previously published methods and to BERT. Orientador: Cristina Meneguello Dissertação (mestrado profissional) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas Resumo: A presente dissertação propõe a elaboração de uma revista eletrônica como ferramenta pedagógica na educação patrimonial tendo como base a Festa de São Benedito que ocorre em Poços de Caldas-MG, bem registrado como patrimônio imaterial municipal e, a partir dela, desenvolve três objetivos suplementares: refletir sobre o lugar do patrimônio no ensino de história; discutir a educação patrimonial fazendo-se valer de uma pedagogia libertadora; desenvolver a revista eletrônica como uma ferramenta pedagógica para o ensino de história local na educação básica. O recorte histórico compreende a presença negra em Poços de Caldas a partir de seu projeto de cidade em 1872 estabelecendo as raízes da devoção dos santos negros no município e sua perpetuação histórico-cultural nos anos subsequentes que resguardaram na festa de São Benedito a memória dos Caiapós, dos moçambiques e dos congados, culminando no seu registro como bem imaterial da cidade. Busca-se fornecer ao professor historiador repertório para reflexão de um ensino de história local, que pretende refletir com o estudante seu lugar de ação e identificação de forma a romper com o modelo de ensino tradicional que privilegia as narrativas lineares, eurocêntricas e hegemônicas. A revista eletrônica como ferramenta pedagógica pretende ampliar os espaços escolares para além da sala de aula, promovendo um diálogo entre o estudante e seu contexto local, ressignificando o saber histórico escolar tradicional e reivindicando uma cultura escolar democrática e antirracista. Logo, o produto didático proposto intenta investigar com os estudantes possibilidades outras de escrita da história local e a reflexão ativa sobre os sujeitos históricos locais Abstract: The present dissertation proposes the elaboration of an electronic magazine as a pedagogical tool in heritage education based on the Festa de São Benedito that takes place in Poços de Caldas-MG, well registered as municipal intangible heritage and, from it, develops three supplementary objectives: reflect on the place of heritage in the teaching of history; discuss heritage education using a liberating pedagogy; to develop the electronic magazine as a pedagogical tool for teaching local history in basic education. The historical cut comprises the black presence in Poços de Caldas from its city project in 1872, establishing the roots of the devotion of black saints in the municipality and its historical-cultural perpetuation in the subsequent years that protected the memory of the Caiapós moçambiques and congados, culminating in its registration as an intangible asset of the city. It seeks to provide the historian teacher with a repertoire for reflection on a teaching of local history, which intends to reflect with the student on their place of action and identification in order to break with the traditional teaching model that privileges linear, eurocentric and hegemonic narratives. The electronic magazine as a pedagogical tool intends to expand school spaces beyond the classroom, promoting a dialogue between the student and their local context, re-signifying traditional school historical knowledge and claiming a democratic and anti-racist school culture. Therefore, the proposed didactic product intends to investigate with students other possibilities of writing local history and active reflection on local historical subjects Mestrado Ensino de História Mestre em Ensino de História

    Orientador: Marcos Tognon Dissertação (mestrado profissional) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas Resumo: Este trabalho aborda questões ligadas ao patrimônio histórico e cultural do município de Guaxupé/MG, a partir de uma visão voltada para educação patrimonial. Numa primeira parte, encontram-se as discussões teórico-metodológicas acerca de alguns conceitos básicos, tais como: patrimônio cultural, educação patrimonial, cultura, memória, tombamento, registro e inventário. Em seguida, apresento os bens culturais tombados, registrados e inventariados de Guaxupé, bem como uma sequência didática acerca dos mesmos. O objetivo foi transformar toda a política municipal de proteção ao patrimônio cultural – desenvolvida desde 1997 pelo Conselho Deliberativo Municipal do Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural de Guaxupé (CDMPHC) –, em um material didático (com textos; imagens; exercícios de múltipla escolha; questões abertas; palavras-cruzadas etc) a ser utilizado como ferramenta de educação patrimonial nos 9os anos do Ensino Fundamental e no Ensino Médio. Dessa forma, o meu produto final no Profhistória contribuirá para a valorização e difusão do patrimônio cultural local Abstract: This report addresses issues related to the historical and cultural heritage in Guaxupé/MG township, from a perspective focused on heritage educational background. Firstly, there are theoretical and methodological discussions about some basic concepts, such as: cultural heritage, heritage education, culture, memory, educational background, registration and inventory. Afterward, showing up Guaxupé's tumbled, registered and listed cultural assets, as well as a following teaching about them. The objective was to transform the entire township policy for the preservation in a cultural heritage - developed since 1997 by the Conselho Deliberativo Municipal do Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural de Guaxupé (CDMPHC) -, in a courseware (with texts; images; multiple choice exercises; open questions; crosswords etc.) to be used as a heritage education instrument in the 9th grade of junior high school and high school. Therefore, my final product in Profhistória will contribute to the appreciation and dissemination of the local cultural heritage Mestrado Ensino de História Mestre em Ensino de História

    Authors: Gómez López, Arley;

    Authors: Silva, Felipe Bruno Lima da, 1986-;

Orientador: Sérgio Niculitcheff Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes Resumo: Esta dissertação se dedica à reflexão sobre o desenvolvimento de uma série artística que envolve a convergência de possibilidades de apresentação do corpo e da paisagem, um cruzamento específico entre fotografia e pintura, e os sentidos conferidos pela interação dessas imagens no espaço e com o espectador. Os desdobramentos da sobreposição de componentes e linguagens criam um contexto compositivo ampliado que proporciona uma dinâmica de aproximação entre grandezas, o micro e o macro, a parte e o todo, e uma fusão de percepções, o reconhecimento aliado à imprecisão. A análise das obras propõe uma relação entre procedimentos, experiências e referências históricas e teóricas que permearam a execução do trabalho, a fim de expor o percurso da pesquisa, contribuindo e dialogando com o conhecimento do fazer artístico em suas manifestações atuai Abstract: This dissertation is a reflection on the development of an artistic series that involves the convergence of potential presentations of body and landscape, a specific intersection between photography and painting, and the perceptions imparted by the interaction of these images in space and with the spectator.
