Introduction to the special issue 'Time and Temporality in the Early Modern Low Countries'.

The aim of this contribution is twofold. First, we show that when two (or more) different quantum groups share the same noncommutative spacetime, such an 'ambiguity' can be resolved by considering together their corresponding noncommutative spaces of geodesics. In any case, the latter play a mathematical/physical role by themselves and, in some cases, they can be interpreted as deformed phase spaces. Second, we explicitly show that noncommutative spacetimes can be reproduced from 'extended' noncommutative spaces of geodesics which are those enlarged by the time translation generator. These general ideas are described in detail for the $\kappa$-Poincar\'e and $\kappa$-Galilei algebras. Comment: 11 pages. Zusammenfassung An den Höfen der Könige, Päpste, Fürsten und Fürstinnen entwickelte sich im 14. Jahrhundert eine zunehmende Konkurrenz zwischen Vertreterinnen und Vertretern verschiedener Bestände von Sonderwissen. Die Entscheidung, welches Wissen in welcher Form nutzbar war, verlagerte sich von den gelehrten Milieus auf Laien, an den Höfen auf Herrscher und Herrscherinnen und ihr Umfeld. Der offen ausgetragene Wettbewerb machte es erforderlich, die mit dem jeweiligen Wissensbestand verbundenen Geltungsansprüche, seine Gehalte und seinen möglichen Nutzen sowie die Positionen seiner Trägerinnen und Träger zu überprüfen. Die wachsenden epistemischen Rivalitäten ließen daher Wissen reflexiv werden. Diese Prozesse veranschaulicht der Beitrag anhand von Fallstudien zu ausgewählten lateineuropäischen Höfen.

Scent in the museum. For a long time, this phrase would have raised red flags for conservators, curators, archivists and visitors of heritage spaces - and in many cases it still does. Scents? Where? Surely not in the galleries or in the depot?! Do they indicate undesirable moulds in books or other objects? Are odours spilling from the restroom or the museum café? Do these scents suggest the presence of airborne dangers that might affect the artefacts? Recognised as a hazard or simply lurking in the background, visitors and heritage professionals alike are not accustomed to actively paying attention to smells in cultural heritage institutions. Scents are assumed to be incidental, unintentional, and unwanted. Odeuropa's Olfactory Storytelling Toolkit: A 'How-To' Guide for Working with Smells in GLAMs and Heritage Institutions is created for conservators, curators, educators, tour guides, museum directors, archivists, librarians, and all others who are interested to work with smells in a heritage context. This guide is a resource that provides a basis to use smell as a storytelling technique within your own curatorial practice. It provides methods - from beginning to end - to bring an olfactory narrative from the (physical) collection item towards visitor engagement. We not only present tips for building a strong olfactory narrative (and where to start finding those stories) but also outline practical elements of olfactory storytelling such as sniffing out olfactory objects and spaces with smellwalks and a sniffer in residence, best practices for presenting and distributing scents in the museum space, creating (heritage) scents with a scent designer and how to carry out your own risk assessment in GLAM environments. This handbook also has 11 downloadable resources to help bring your olfactory event to life, which are listed in the "Related works" section below. The island of Patmos, in the eastern Aegean Sea, consists almost entirely of late Miocene to Pliocene volcanic rocks. The magmatism in the Aegean is governed by subduction of the African plate below the Eurasian plate, back-arc extension, slab rollback, slab edge processes and westward extrusion of central Anatolia to the west along the Northern Anatolian Fault into the Aegean domain. The evolution of the Aegean basin is that of a back-arc setting, with a southerly trend in the locus of both convergent tectonics and back-arc stretching, allowing intermittent upwelling of arc, lithospheric and asthenospheric magmas. Here, we present new 40Ar/39Ar age data for Patmos and the nearby small island of Chiliomodi to place this volcanism in a new high-resolution geochronological framework. High-resolution geochronology provides a key to understanding the mechanisms of both the tectonic and magmatic processes that cause the extrusion of magma locally and sheds light on the tectonic evolution of the larger region of the back-arc basin as a whole. The volcanic series on Patmos is alkalic, consistent with a back-arc extensional setting, and ranges from trachybasalt to phonolites, trachytes and rhyolites, with SiO2 ranging from 51.6 wt % to 80.5 wt %, K2O ranging from 2 wt % to 11.8 wt % and extrusion ages ranging from 6.59 ± 0.04 (0.14) Ma to 5.17 ± 0.02 (0.11) Ma. Volcanism on Patmos and adjacent Chiliomodi can be understood as a combination of mantle and crustal tectonic processes including the influence of transform faults and rotational crustal forces that also caused the widening of the southern Aegean basin due to two opposite rotational poles in the east and west and rollback of the subducting slab south of Crete.

With the advent of large language models (LLMs), the artificial intelligence revolution in medicine and radiology is now more tangible than ever. Every day, an increasingly large number of articles are published that utilize LLMs in radiology. To adopt and safely implement this new technology in the field, radiologists should be familiar with its key concepts, understand at least the technical basics, and be aware of the potential risks and ethical considerations that come with it. In this review article, the authors provide an overview of the LLMs that might be relevant to the radiology community and include a brief discussion of their short history, technical basics, ChatGPT, prompt engineering, potential applications in medicine and radiology, advantages, disadvantages and risks, ethical and regulatory considerations, and future directions.

This paper considers two point boundary value problems for conservative systems defined in multiple coordinate systems, and develops a flexible a-posteriori framework for computer assisted existence proofs. Our framework is applied to the study collision and near collision orbits in the circular restricted three body problem. In this case the coordinate systems are the standard rotating coordinates, and the two Levi-Civita coordinate systems regularizing collisions with each of the massive primaries. The proposed framework is used to prove the existence of a number of orbits which have long been studied numerically in the celestial mechanics literature, but for which there are no existing analytical proofs at the mass and energy values considered here. These include transverse ejection/collisions from one primary body to the other, Str\"{o}mgren's assymptotic periodic orbits (transverse homoclinics for $L_{4,5}$), families of periodic orbits passing through collision, and orbits connecting $L_4$ to ejection or collision.
