    Authors: Arat, Yavuz;

    In traditional folk architecture, residentials are cultural assets that are important with their folkloric and indigenous values. Traces of history based on the city and the region together with cultural assets make it possible for that city to form its own unique texture. Konya, one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia, also has its own civil architecture. The civil architecture of Konya in the pre-republican era consists of courtyard houses, starting from Alaeddin Hill, the oldest mound, and opening into the plain and into the streets intertwining on the east-west axis, partly intersecting with each other, and also forming cul-de-sacs. The earth-sheltered, mud-brick houses behind the yard doors opening onto the streets of Konya were constructed in such a way as to rise above the stone foundation walls. However Konya was transformed into a new reconstructuring process, the examples of civil architecture which did/could not find its place in this reconstruction were destroyed one by one and it transformed the civil arcitecture which is tried to be partially conserved by registration. The zoning activities that have been carried out since the beginning of the Republican era have also affected Konya’s historical texture adversely as in many cities. Before its civil architecture was transformed, Konya was influential in shaping the environment where neighborhood, street and neighbor relations existed mostly by sustenance. Because, it is seen that Konya houses interact with each other through a high level neighborhood in the texture it forms with its surroundings. As a matter of fact, the transformation of old historical sites causes the civilian architecture to disappear and the urban memory be lost. Because, it suggests new forms of reconstruction which are independent of the texture of the past, by distorting, changing, or transforming, and replacing the historical texture of the region. It cannot appeal to the people of the region. An attempt was made to intro-duce the Saim Sakaoğlu house – one of the qualified houses in the Çaybaşı Neighborhood and one of the examples of civil architecture that is one of the leading examples of the lost heritage – to understand the civil architecture of Konya today and to keep the lost city memory alive in the minds of new generations. Geleneksel halk mimarisinde konutlar folklorik ve yöreye özgü değerleriyle önem arz eden kültür varlıklarıdır. Kente ve yöreye özgü değişen geçmişe ait izler ile kültür varlıkları o kentin kendine özgü dokusunun oluşmasını sağlamaktadır. Anadolu’nun en eski yerleşim yerlerinden biri olan Konya kenti de kendine özgü sivil mimariye sahiptir. Konya sivil mimarisi Cumhuriyet öncesi, en eski höyük olan Alaeddin tepesin-den başlayarak, ovaya doğru bir açılımla, doğu batı aksında birbiri içerisine geçen, kısmen birbirini kesen çıkmaz sokakların da oluştuğu sokaklara açılan avlulu evlerden oluşmaktadır. Konya kentinin sokaklarına açılan avlu kapılarının içerisinde bulunan toprak damlı, kerpiç evleri taş temel duvarlar üzerinden yükselecek şekilde yapılmışlardır. Ancak Konya kenti Cumhuriyetin ilanından sonra yeni bir yapılanmaya dönüşmüş, bu yapılanma içinde yerini bul(a)mayan sivil mimari örnekleri bir bir yok edilerek, kısmen de olsa tescil edilerek korunmaya çalış(ıl)an sivil mimariyi dönüştürmüştür. Cumhuriyet döneminin başından beri yapılagelen imar faaliyetleri pek çok kentte olduğu gibi Konya’nın da tarihî dokusunu olumsuz etkilemiştir. Konya sivil mimarisi dönüşüme uğramadan önce mahalle, sokak ve komşuluk ilişkilerinin çoğunlukla yaşatılarak var olduğu çevrenin biçimlenmesinde etkendir. Çünkü Konya Evleri’nin, çevresiyle oluşturduğu dokuda, üst düzeyde olduğu bir komşuluk ile birbiriyle etkileşim içinde olduğu görülmektedir. Nitekim eski tarihî mahalleleri dönüştürme sivil mimarinin yok olmasına, kent belleğinin yitirilmesine neden olmaktadır. Çünkü bozularak, değişerek ya da dönüşüme uğratılarak, bölgenin tarihî dokusunun değiştirilmesi ile geçmişe dair dokudan bağımsız olan yeni yapılaşma şekilleri önermekte, bölgenin halkına hitap edememektedir. Kaybedilmiş mirasların başında gelen sivil mimari örneklerinden biri olan Çaybaşı Mahallesi’ndeki nitelikli evlerinden ancak 2009 yılında yıkılmış olan Saim Sakaoğlu Evi, günümüzde Konya sivil mimarisini anlamak, yitirilen kent belleğinin yeni nesillerde diri tutmak için tanıtılmaya çalışılmıştır.

    Within the scope of this Project, Ege University, Çeşme Tourism and Hotel Business College and Tour Guiding students were included in the Çatalhöyük Excavation Project which is the first Neolithic site in our country to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The students who took part in this project, conducted by a world renowned international team, gained experience both by meeting scientists from different countries and seeing for themselves the artefacts found in the course of the excavation, thereby turning the theoretical information given by us in class into practical knowledge. They also experienced living together in a camp environment, developing their social sides and foreign language skills. At the same time the students, who were in every sense part of the team, found the opportunity to gain experience in the ‘Tour guiding’ profession, before starting their professional lives, by explaining the historical site in great detail to both local and foreign tourists. The student members of the archaeological project were educated in, carried out research on, and gained experience in; prehistoric archaeology, mound sites, Neolithic architecture, past people, animal and plant remains, burial traditions, stone tools, pottery and how a settlement dated to the Neolithic period can be evaluated and brought to the status of a ‘touristic product’. Bu Proje kapsamında, Ege Üniversitesi, Çeşme Turizm ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulu, Turizm Rehberliği öğrencileri, ülkemizde Unesco Dünya Miras Listesine giren ilk Neolitik merkez olan Çatalhöyük Kazı Projesine dahil olmuşlardır. Dünyaca tanınmış uluslararası bir ekip tarafından yürütülen bu Projeye katılan öğrenciler, hem farklı ülkelerden farklı bilim insanlarıyla tanışarak ve kazılarda ortaya çıkarılan eserleri bizzat görerek derslerde verdiğimiz kuramsal bilgileri uygulamalı bir bilgi birikimi haline dönüştürmüş, hem de sosyal yönlerini ve yabancı dil becerilerini geliştirerek bir kamp yerinde birlikte yaşama deneyimi kazanmışlardır. Ekibin her anlamda bir parçası olan öğrenciler aynı zamanda, meslek hayatlarına başlamadan önce bir ören yerini yerli ve yabancı turistlere oldukça ayrıntılı bir biçimde anlatarak “Turizm Rehberliği” mesleği konusunda tecrübe elde etme fırsatı bulmuşlardır. Arkeolojik bir kazı projesinin üyesi olan öğrenciler; Prehistorya arkeolojisi, höyükler, Neolitik mimari, eski insan, hayvan ve bitki kalıntıları, ölü gömme gelenekleri, taş aletler, çanak çömlek ve Neolitik Döneme tarihlenen Prehistorik bir yerleşmenin turizm açısından nasıl değerlendirilip “turistik bir ürün” haline getirilebileceği gibi konularda eğitim almış, araştırma yapmış ve deneyim elde edebilmişlerdir.

    İtalyanca ‘citta’ (şehir) ve İngilizce ‘slow’ (yavaş) kelimelerinden oluşan Cittaslow “Yavaş Şehir” anlamında kullanılmaktadır. Cittaslow, küreselleşmenin şehirlerin dokusunu, sakinliklerini ve yaşam tarzını standartlaştırmasını ve yerel özelliklerini ortadan kaldırmasını engellemek amacıyla oluşmuş bir şehirler birliğidir. Sakin Şehir yaklaşımı, ülkemizde saklı sayısız tarihi ve kültürel zenginliği ortaya çıkarabilmek için bir fırsat olabilecek özellik taşımaktadır. Cittaslow kriterleri, çevre politikaları, altyapı politikaları, kentsel yaşam kalitesi politikaları, tarım, turizm, esnaf ve sanatkarlara dair politikalar, misafirperverlik, farkındalık ve eğitim için planlar, sosyal uyum, ortaklıklar gibi kriterlerden oluşmaktadır. Türkiye’de 2017 yılı itibariyle 14 şehir "Yavaş Şehir" ünvanını almaya hak kazanmıştır. Bu şehirler; Akyaka/Muğla, Seferihisar/İzmir, Halfeti/Şanlıurfa, Perşembe/Ordu, Şavşat/Artvin, Taraklı/Sakarya, Vize/Kırklareli, Yalvaç/Isparta, Yenipazar/Aydın, Gökçeada/Çanakkale, Uzundere/Erzurum, Eğirdir/Isparta, Göynük/Bolu ve Gerze/Sinop. dur. Bu çalışma kapsamında, “Yavaş Şehirler (Cittaslow)” yaklaşımı, literatür taramaları ile Yavaş Şehirlerin (Cittaslow)” ortaya çıkmasına neden olan nedenler ve Yavaş Şehir olmaya aday kentlerin yerine getirmesi gereken kriterler ortaya konmaktadır. Ayrıca, Cittaslow hareketinin tarihi süreci ve dünyadaki durumu incelenecektir. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye’de bulunan yavaş şehirlerle ilgili genel bir değerlendirme yapılacaktır. Cittaslow, Italian citta (city) and English slow (slow) of the word “slow city” is used in the sense of. Cittaslow is used in the meaning of "Slow City" which is composed of Italian citta (city) and English slow (slow) words. Cittaslow is a union of cities that has been formed in order to prevent globalization from standardizing the dignity, calmness and lifestyle of the cities and removing the local characteristics. Cittaslow criteria; environmental policies, infrastructure policies, urban quality of life policies, policies on agriculture, tourism, artisans and craftsmen, plans for hospitality, awareness and education, social cohesion. 14 cities have earned the title of "Slow City" in Turkey, 2017. These cities; Akyaka/Muğla, Seferihisar/İzmir, Halfeti/Şanlıurfa, Perşembe/Ordu, Şavşat/Artvin, Taraklı/Sakarya, Vize/Kırklareli, Yalvaç/Isparta, Yenipazar/Aydın, Gökçeada/Çanakkale, Uzundere/Erzurum, Eğirdir/Isparta, Göynük/Bolu, Gerze/Sinop. In this study, “Cittaslow (Slow City)”; through literature reviews, reasons which cause Slow Cities are revealed and criteria that have to be fulfilled by the cities eager to be identified as Slow City are put forward. Additionally, Cittaslow movement’s historical process and the situation throughout the world is examined. As a result, an overall assessment will be made culture, tourism and architecture in the context about slow cities in Turkey.

    Authors: Çitilcioğlu, Uğur Serkan;

    Purpose: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of taking long and short history during the preoperative evaluation on the anesthesia management and complications in ASA physical status I patients. Materials and Methods: After obtaining approval from the institutional Ethic comittiee, ASA physical status I 750 patients undergoing elective surgical procedure were randomly allocated into two groups. The history from group I patients (n=375) were taken with a form containing 5 basic questions about preoperative evaluation, and the history from the group II patients (n=375) were taken with a regular preoperative patient evaluation form containing 26 questions in the anesthesia preoperative evaluation clinic. In all patients, the duration of time which patients spent during the preoperative evaluation, the number of patiens requiring additional tests or consultations to the other departments, anesthetic techniques, perioperative and postoperative haemodynamic and respiratory data, analgesic techniques, consumed analgesic agents and per and postoperative complications were assessed and recorded. Results: Mean duration of history in group I was found 38,52 seconds and 103,17 seconds in group II and it was significantly shorter in group I than in group II (p< 0.001). Additional consultation requirement was similar in two groups. According to their histories, 4 patients in both two groups required consultation and there was no significant difference in the number of patients requiring consultation between the groups. There were also no significant difference between the groups in anesthetic management and techniques in both two groups (p=0,340). Compared the groups, with regard to preoperative and postoperative complications there was no difference between two groups (p=0,50),(p=0,27). Conclusion: In ASA physical status I patients undergoing surgery, when the patients taken short history compared with the patients taken long history for the preoperative evaluation, short preoperative history provides significantly shorter duration of preoperative evaluation time than long preoperative history group, without causing any change in anesthetic management and complications. We concluded that gain in time could be advantage for the great hospitals Amaç: ASA I grubu hastalarda preoperatif değerlendirme sırasında alınan kısa ve uzun anamnezin anestezi yönetimi ve komplikasyonlar üzerine etkilerinin karGılaGtırılması amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Üniversitemiz etik kurul onayı alındıktan sonra cerrahi operasyon planlanan ASA I grubu 750 eriGkin hasta randomize olarak iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruptaki (n=375) hastalar anestezi polikliniğinde preoperatif değerlendirme amacıyla belirlediğimiz beG temel sorudan oluGan sorgulama formu ile ikinci gruptaki (n=375) hastalar ise preoperatif değerlendirme kliniğimizde bulunan 26 sorudan oluGan geniG anamnez formu ile sorgulandı. Tüm hastalarda; anestezi polikliniğindeki değerlendirme sırasında geçen süre, ek tetkik veya konsültasyon istemi olup olmadığı, anestezi için seçilen ve uygulanan teknik, peroperatif ve postoperatif hemodinamik ve respiratuar veriler, kullanılan analjezik ajanlar ve yöntemleri ile operasyon sırasında ve sonrasında geliGen komplikasyonlar izlenerek kaydedildi. Bulgular: Kısa anamnez alınan hastaların preoperatif değerlendirmelerinde ortalama anamnez süreleri 38,52 saniye bulunurken uzun anamnez alınan grupta bu süre 103,17 sn olarak saptandı (p< 0.001). Preoperatif değerlendirme sırasında her iki grupta da benzer olarak 4 hastadan hikayedeki verilere göre ek konsültasyon isteme gereksinimi duyulmuGtur. Her iki grup arasında anestezi yönetimi ve tercihi açısından bir fark bulunmadığı tespit edildi (p=0,340). Gruplar anestezi sırasında ve sonrasında oluGabilecek komplikasyonlar açısından karGılaGtırıldığında iki grup arasında fark olmadığı belirlendi (p=0,50),(p=0,27). Sonuç: Preoperatif değerlendirmede, ASA I grubu eriGkin hastalarda kısa anamnez ile hikaye almanın uzun anamnez ile hikaye alınan hastalarla karGılaGtırıldığında, anestezi yönetimi ve komplikasyonlarda değiGiklik oluGturmadan preoperatif değerlendirme için gereken süreyi önemli ölçüde azalttığı belirlendi.     Authors: Arat, Yavuz;

    Authors: Çitilcioğlu, Uğur Serkan;

    Purpose: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of taking long and short history during the preoperative evaluation on the anesthesia management and complications in ASA physical status I patients. Materials and Methods: After obtaining approval from the institutional Ethic comittiee, ASA physical status I 750 patients undergoing elective surgical procedure were randomly allocated into two groups. The history from group I patients (n=375) were taken with a form containing 5 basic questions about preoperative evaluation, and the history from the group II patients (n=375) were taken with a regular preoperative patient evaluation form containing 26 questions in the anesthesia preoperative evaluation clinic. In all patients, the duration of time which patients spent during the preoperative evaluation, the number of patiens requiring additional tests or consultations to the other departments, anesthetic techniques, perioperative and postoperative haemodynamic and respiratory data, analgesic techniques, consumed analgesic agents and per and postoperative complications were assessed and recorded. Results: Mean duration of history in group I was found 38,52 seconds and 103,17 seconds in group II and it was significantly shorter in group I than in group II (p< 0.001). Additional consultation requirement was similar in two groups. According to their histories, 4 patients in both two groups required consultation and there was no significant difference in the number of patients requiring consultation between the groups. There were also no significant difference between the groups in anesthetic management and techniques in both two groups (p=0,340). Compared the groups, with regard to preoperative and postoperative complications there was no difference between two groups (p=0,50),(p=0,27). Conclusion: In ASA physical status I patients undergoing surgery, when the patients taken short history compared with the patients taken long history for the preoperative evaluation, short preoperative history provides significantly shorter duration of preoperative evaluation time than long preoperative history group, without causing any change in anesthetic management and complications. We concluded that gain in time could be advantage for the great hospitals Amaç: ASA I grubu hastalarda preoperatif değerlendirme sırasında alınan kısa ve uzun anamnezin anestezi yönetimi ve komplikasyonlar üzerine etkilerinin karGılaGtırılması amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Üniversitemiz etik kurul onayı alındıktan sonra cerrahi operasyon planlanan ASA I grubu 750 eriGkin hasta randomize olarak iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruptaki (n=375) hastalar anestezi polikliniğinde preoperatif değerlendirme amacıyla belirlediğimiz beG temel sorudan oluGan sorgulama formu ile ikinci gruptaki (n=375) hastalar ise preoperatif değerlendirme kliniğimizde bulunan 26 sorudan oluGan geniG anamnez formu ile sorgulandı. Tüm hastalarda; anestezi polikliniğindeki değerlendirme sırasında geçen süre, ek tetkik veya konsültasyon istemi olup olmadığı, anestezi için seçilen ve uygulanan teknik, peroperatif ve postoperatif hemodinamik ve respiratuar veriler, kullanılan analjezik ajanlar ve yöntemleri ile operasyon sırasında ve sonrasında geliGen komplikasyonlar izlenerek kaydedildi. Bulgular: Kısa anamnez alınan hastaların preoperatif değerlendirmelerinde ortalama anamnez süreleri 38,52 saniye bulunurken uzun anamnez alınan grupta bu süre 103,17 sn olarak saptandı (p< 0.001). Preoperatif değerlendirme sırasında her iki grupta da benzer olarak 4 hastadan hikayedeki verilere göre ek konsültasyon isteme gereksinimi duyulmuGtur. Her iki grup arasında anestezi yönetimi ve tercihi açısından bir fark bulunmadığı tespit edildi (p=0,340). Gruplar anestezi sırasında ve sonrasında oluGabilecek komplikasyonlar açısından karGılaGtırıldığında iki grup arasında fark olmadığı belirlendi (p=0,50),(p=0,27).
