    Authors: Stehlíková, Anna;

    My bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of natural motives in the oldest Czech historiography. I have excerpted references to nature from the Chronicle of Kosmas and from the works of his followers (Mnich sázavský, Kanovník vyšehradský, Vincencius and Jarloch). I mainly dealt with the work of Kosmas and his first followers (Mnich sázavský and Kanovník vyšehradský). In the first chapter, I analysed the mentioned historical works and their authors. The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the nature records. I compared natural phenomena with today's reality and considered how nature influenced the earlier population and whether the phenomena seen were associated with something unearthly. The work includes references to the natural disasters (floods, high winds and fires), mentions of plague and famine, and references to astronomical phenomena (solar and lunar eclipses, sightings of planets, comets, stars and meteors). Finally, I try to find connections between the mentions that are related to nature. V bakalářské práci se zabývám analýzou přírodních motivů v nejstarší české historiografii. Zmínky o přírodě jsem excerpovala z Kosmovy kroniky a z prací jeho pokračovatelů (Mnich sázavský, Kanovník vyšehradský, Vincencius a Jarloch). Převážně jsem se zabývala prací Kosmy a jeho prvních pokračovatelů (Mnich sázavský a Kanovník vyšehradský). V první kapitole jsem rozebrala zmíněné historické práce a jejich autory. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na analýzu záznamů o přírodě. Porovnávala jsem přírodní jevy s dnešní skutečností a posuzovala, jak ovlivňovala příroda dřívější obyvatelstvo a zda byly viděné jevy spojovány s něčím nadpozemským. V práci se objevují zmínky o rozmarech přírody (povodně, silné větry a požáry), zmínky o moru a hladomoru a také zmínky o astronomických úkazech (zatmění Slunce a Měsíce, pozorování planet, komet, hvězd a meteoritů). Nakonec se snažím najít souvislosti mezi zmínkami, které jsou spojené s přírodou. Obhájeno

    Authors: Musílková, Květoslava;

    Cílem této diplomové práce je zjistit, jakým způsobem bylo řešeno záškoláctví obecných škol v období od roku 1774 do nástupu komunismu v roce 1948. Zajímalo mě, jak bylo záškoláctví na školách sledováno a jaké právní normy s konkrétními postihy měli ředitelé škol k dispozici k potlačování a nápravě záškoláctví. V kapitole Historie školní docházky je předložen stručný přehled dějin pedagogiky doplněný všemi důležitými právními normami, které zásadním způsobem ovlivňovaly plnění povinné školní docházky, evidenci záškoláctví a postihy zákonných zástupců, kteří opakovaně neposílali své děti do školy. Historické prameny nám podávají svědectví o důsledné evidenci docházky žáků do škol. Ředitelé škol museli měsíčně podávat hlášení okresní zemské školské radě a ta v případě, že žádná domluva nepomáhala, stanovila pokutu, kterou museli rodiče zaplatit. Její výše se stanovovala dle závažnosti přestupku. V případě, že rodiče nebo zákonní zástupci neměli peníze na zaplacení, následoval až několikadenní trest odnětí svobody. Důvodem takto přísných pravidel jistě bylo velmi rozšířené nepochopení důležitosti vzdělání pro další osobní i profesní rozvoj dětí. Druhá kapitola je věnována dvěma významným reformátorům, kteří svými školskými reformami vešli do dějin evropské vzdělanosti a výchovy. Prvním z nich byl Jan Ignác Felbiger, pod jehož velením byl dokončen návrh školního řádu, který byl vydán dne 6. prosince 1774. Druhým významným reformátorem je Ferdinand Kindermann, zakladatel nového typu katolické školy a spoluautor rakouských školských reforem. Třetí až pátá kapitola přináší vzhled do několika mála právních norem, které měly určitý význam pro české školství v obdobích od počátku dvacátého století do konce roku 1948. V podstatě se dá konstatovat, že podobu školské soustavy až do 30. července 1937, kdy byl vydán školní a vyučovací řád pro školy obecné a měšťanské a pro školy (třídy) pomocné, i nadále určovaly Hasnerovy zákony z roku 1869. Zajímavé bylo zjištění, že i nová komunistická vláda v roce 1948, necelé tři měsíce po ujmutí se vlády, vydává nový školský zákon, který rovněž přesně stanovuje finanční postih anebo i trest odnětí svobody zákonným zástupcům za záškoláctví jejich dětí. Šestá kapitola podává přehled zjištěných formulářů týkajících se nedbalé docházky žáků. Konkrétní příklady řešení záškoláctví na školách v roce 1885 a v letech 1925 až 1927 přináší sedmá kapitola této diplomové práce. Získání podkladů pro napsání této práce znamenalo prostudování všech vládních věstníků od roku 1872 až do roku 1948, prostudování zápisů z pedagogických porad a seznámit se s dochovanou historickou korespondencí některých vybraných škol ve státních archivech v Berouně, Příbrami a Národním archivu v Praze na Chodově. Podařilo se mi tak doložit ucelený přehled právních norem, tiskopisů a evidence záškoláctví v uvedeném časovém období a prokázat, že existovaly velice účinné nástroje pro eliminaci záškoláctví. My thesis deals with the history of coping with truancy at primary schools in the period from 1774 to the rise of communism in 1948. I followed monitoring of truancy and legal norms for headmasters to improve school attendance. The chapter History of School Attendance brings a brief history of pedagogy with an overview of legal norms important for an approach to improving school attendance, truancy records and penalty for legal representatives who didn´t send their children to school regularly. Historical sources bring us an evidence of precise records of school attendance. Headmasters were obliged to report truants to their district council, which set a fine for the truants´ parents. The amount of the fine was according to the seriousness of the offence. In case the parents were not able to pay, they had to go to prison for a few days. The reason for such strict rules was misapprehension of school education importance for personal and professional development of children. The second chapter is devoted to two important European school reformers. One of them is Jan Ignác Felbiger who managed finishing School Rules released on 6th December 1774. The other important reformer is Ferdinand Kindermann who established a new type of catholic school and co-authored Austrian School Reforms. The third, fourth and fifth chapters deal with some legal norms which were important for the Czech school system in the period from the beginning of 20th century to the end of 1948. It is possible to say that up to 30th July 1937, when the new school rules for primary schools were accepted, the school system had been directed by Hasner´s Rules released in 1869. An interesting fact is to find that just three months after the communist government seized the reigns they released a new school law which also set a financial penalty or imprisonment for legal representatives of truant children. The sixth chapter gives a review of different forms regarding truancy. The seventh chapter brings some particular ways how truancy was solved in the years from 1925 to 1927. To complete this thesis, I studied all government gazetteers from 1872 to1948, reports from pedagogical councils and preserved historical school correspondence which were found in Beroun and Příbram State Archives and in Prague (Chodov) National Archiv. I managed to realize a complete summary of legal norms, forms and reports of truancy in the set period. I also managed to demonstrate very effective methods for truancy reduction that had existed it that time. Obhájeno

    Authors: Solár, David;

    Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die jüdischen Kulturpersönlichkeiten der Karlsbader Region in den breiteren kulturgeschichtlichen Kontext des jüdischen Lebens in den böhmischen Ländern einzuordnen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf ausgewählten jüdischen deutschen oder tschechischen Schriftstellern, Publizisten und anderen ausgewählten bedeutenden jüdischen Persönlichkeiten liegt, die zur Popularisierung und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung der Region beigetragen haben. Neben Persönlichkeiten, die direkt aus der Karlsbader Region stammten, werden auch Persönlichkeiten, die einen Teil ihres Lebens oder während längerer oder wiederholter Kuraufenthalte mit der Karlsbader Region verbunden waren, eingehend untersucht. Ein weiteres Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die sozial- und kulturgeschichtlichen Besonderheiten der Karlsbader Region, insbesondere für die jüdische Gemeinde, darzustellen und die tschechisch-deutsch-jüdischen Gesellschaftsbeziehungen in der Region zu veranschaulichen, sowie Beispiele authentischer zeitgenössischer Korrespondenz des ausgewählten Zeitraums zu zeigen. Eine Besonderheit der Region ist die lange Zeit des Verbots der jüdischen Bevölkerung in der Kulturhauptstadt Karlsbad (auf Tschechisch Karlovy Vary) - offiziell seit dem königlichen Verbot von 1499 bis 1848). Die in Karlsbad arbeitenden Juden siedelten sich daher in den umliegenden Städten (insbesondere Lichtenstadt (auf Tschechisch Hroznětín) mit seinem großen jüdischen Viertel) und Dörfern an. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. und in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich das religiöse und kulturelle Leben der Juden in der Karlsbader Region und passte sich sprachlich der deutschsprachigen Bevölkerungsmehrheit an. The aim of this thesis is to place the Jewish cultural personalities of the Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary) Region in the broader cultural-historical context of Jewish life in the Czech lands, focusing on selected Jewish German or Czech writers, publicists and other selected significant Jewish personalities who contributed to the popularization and economic development of the region. In addition to personalities who came directly from the Carlsbad Region, personalities who were associated with the Carlsbad Region for part of their lives or during extended or repeated spa stays are also examined in detail. Another aim of this thesis is to present the social and cultural historical peculiarities of the Carlsbad Region, especially for the Jewish community, and to illustrate the Czech-German-Jewish social relations in the region, as well as to show examples of authentic contemporary correspondence of the selected period. A specific feature of the region is the long period of the ban on the Jewish population in the cultural capital Carlsbad - officially from the royal ban of 1499 until 1848). Jews working in Carlsbad therefore settled in the surrounding towns (especially Hroznětín with its large Jewish quarter) and villages. In the second half of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century, the religious and cultural life of Jews in the Carlsbad region developed, adapting linguistically to the German-speaking majority of the population.     Authors: Veselá, Kateřina;

    The bachelor thesis contains a theoretical part containing several chapters dealing with visual perception, the importance of gaze and eyes in communication, as well as an explanation of the concept of interpretation and contemporary art. Another extensive chapter deals with the representation of the eyes in visual culture and their significance, as well as the interpretation of the gaze where the basic philosophical theories that have influenced not only contemporary art - feminism and animism - are outlined. The practical part deals with the creation of artworks of three spatial paintings made up of a frame with a metal wire mesh woven with yarn in the shape of eyes. The works are based on the animist theory of gaze. The last didactic part of the work focuses on an art task that applies interpretation, animism and eye imagery. Bakalářská práce obsahuje teoretickou část obsahující několik kapitol zabývající se vizuální percepcí, významem pohledu a očí v komunikaci, dále vysvětlením pojmu interpretace a současného umění. Další rozsáhlou kapitolou je zobrazování očí ve vizuální kultuře a jejich význam, dále interpretace pohledu kde jsou nastíněny základní filozofické teorie, které ovlivnili nejen současné umění - feminismus a animismus. Praktická část se zabývá vytvořením uměleckých děl tří plastických maleb tvořených z rámu s pletivem protkaným přízí do tvaru očí. Díla vycházejí z animistické teorie pohledu. Poslední didaktická část práce je zaměřena na výtvarný úkol, který uplatňuje interpretaci, animismus a zobrazování očí. Obhájeno

    The aim of the work is to evaluate the greenery in public spaces, squares and the historical centre of the city. The method of evaluation is field and archival research. The thesis uses photographs, historical plans and paintings from which the quantity and condition of the greenery can be deduced. The greenery in the public spaces is currently satisfactory and fulfils its functions, but the greenery in the square has greatly diminished after the revitalisation. Cílem práce je zhodnocení zeleně na veřejných prostranstvích, na náměstí a v historickém středu města. Metodou hodnocení je terénní a archivní průzkum. V práci jsou používány fotografie, historické plány a malby, ze kterých lze odvodit množství a stav zeleně. Zeleň na veřejných prostranstvích je v současnosti uspokojivá a splňuje své funkce, ale zeleně na náměstí po revitalizaci velmi ubylo. Obhájeno

    Authors: Mladý, Jakub;

    Active learning is an approach to training artificial intelligence models within super- vised learning. The motivation for its introduction comes from the need to spare time and financial resources in obtaining labels for the training data, which are fundamental for many machine learning tasks. Its paradigm is simple: the precon- ditions are a training dataset with a few data labeled, the model and an annotator. Then, the following cycle is repeated until some suitable terminal condition is met - train the model on labeled data, query for more unlabeled data and let the annotator provide the labels for the queried instances. The critical part of such a system lies in the startegy of querying for new data samples. With a desirable strategy, such data labels could be obtained, that imporve the model the most. These query strategies are the main subject of ongoing research in active learning. This work offers a sur- vey of existing strategies and provides evaluation of contribution of some chosen strategies and active learning as a whole from the results of proposed experiments. Aktivní učení je přístup k trénování modelů umělé inteligence v rámci učení s učite- lem. Motivací k jeho zavedení je šetření času a finančních prostředků při pořizování anotací trénovacích dat, jež jsou v mnoha úlohách strojového učení potřebné. Jeho paradigma je jednoduché: předpoklady jsou datová sada s několika málo označenými daty, model a anotátor. Následně do splnění vhodně zvolené ukončovací podmínky probíhá následující cyklus - naučit model na označené podmnožině, vybrat několik neoznačených vzorků a dotázat se anotátora na označení vybraných vzorků. Kri- tickou částí systému je pak výběr vzorků. Při použití vhodné strategie je možné vybrat takové prvky, jejichž naučením se model zlepší nejvíce. Právě tyto strategie jsou hlavním předmětem výzkumu aktivního učení. Tato práce nabízí průzkum již existujících strategií a poskytuje hodnocení přínosu některých strategií a aktivního učení jako celku z výsledků navržených experimentů. Obhájeno

    Authors: Špiclová, Zdeňka;

    The dissertation aims to investigate what a scientific approach to the study of religion can look like (at the theoretical level) and whether new technologies can be used for computer analysis of extant sources (at the level of method). The aim is to reflect on the relevance and applicability of these new theoretical and methodological approaches by applying them to a specific phenomenon in the field of early Christianity research. The work therefore moves on two levels. The first, theoretical level consists of the question of the possibility, nature and form of a scientific approach to the study of religion. The second, applied level is an attempt to use the scientific approach in the investigation of a particular phenomenon in the field of early Christianity in order to point directly to the benefits and limitations of these theories and methods. At stake, then, is both a question from the field of theory and philosophy of science - whether it is possible to scientifically investigate religion and what form such an approach might take - and a question from the field of religious studies - whether these theories and methods can contribute to research on the origins of Christian faith. The discourse under consideration is the cognitive science of religion, from which Boyer's theory of the minimal counterintuitiveness of religious representations, supplemented and refined by Barrett, is selected. The particular phenomenon in the history of early Christianity research to which this theory is applied in the dissertation is the question of the emergence of Christian faith, concretised as a search for the reason for the transformation of the original understanding of Jesus as man (rabbi, prophet, political messiah, God-empowered servant) through the use of the Jewish title Son of Man into the idea of Jesus as the resurrected Son of God, Lord and Saviour. The initial hypothesis is whether the mental representation of Jesus as the Son of God best fits - in comparison to the understanding of Jesus as a God-empowered man and as the Son of Man - the cognitive characteristics of a successful religious idea and is thus most suitable for dissemination. Since this is an issue that is closely linked to a detailed analysis of the textual sources, a combination of classical exegesis of selected passages, analysis of the cognitive structures of the representations under study, together with so-called distance reading, is chosen at the level of method. First, using the historical-critical method, important passages related to the analysed representations - Jesus as Rabbi, Prophet, Messiah, Son of Man and Son of God - are identified in the New Testament, apocryphal and early Christian texts of the first five centuries. Subsequently, these ideas are analyzed in terms of their cognitive structure, using Barrett's coding system. In the final section, this approach is complemented by computer analysis to show the applicability of distance reading for the interpretation of early Christian texts. The focus is on the analysis of the transformation of the semantic field of the terms Jesus, Christ and God in a corpus of Greek written early Christian texts of the first five centuries CE. Disertační práce si klade za úkol prozkoumat, jakým způsobem může vypadat vědecký přístup ke studiu náboženství (na teoretické úrovni) a zda lze využívat nových technologií k počítačové analýze dochovaných pramenů (na úrovni metody). Cílem je reflexe relevantnosti a použitelnosti těchto nových teoretických a metodologických přístupů na základě jejich aplikace na konkrétní fenomén z oblasti bádání o raném křesťanství. Práce se proto pohybuje na dvou rovinách. První, teoretickou rovinu tvoří otázka po možnosti, povaze a podobě vědeckého přístupu ke studiu náboženství. Druhou, aplikovanou rovinou je snaha o využití vědeckého přístupu při zkoumání konkrétního fenoménu z oblasti raného křesťanství, aby tak bylo přímo poukázáno na přínosy a limity těchto teorií a metod. Ve hře je tedy jak otázka z oblasti teorie a filosofie vědy - zda je možné vědecky zkoumat náboženství a jakou podobu může takový přístup mít - tak otázka z oblasti religionistiky - zda tyto teorie a metody mohou přispět k výzkumu vzniku křesťanské víry. Sledovaným diskurzem je kognitivní věda o náboženství, ze které je vybrána Boyerova teorie minimální kontraintuitivity náboženských reprezentací, doplněná a zpřesněná Barrettem. Konkrétním fenoménem z dějin bádání o raném křesťanství, na který je tato teorie v disertační práci aplikována, je otázka vzniku křesťanské víry, konkretizovaná jako hledání důvodu proměny původního chápání Ježíše jakožto člověka (rabbiho, proroka, politického mesiáše, Bohem zmocněného služebníka) přes užívání židovského titulu Syn člověka v představu Ježíše jako vzkříšeného Syna Božího, Pána a Spasitele. Vstupní hypotézou v tomto případě je, zda mentální reprezentace Ježíše jakožto Syna Božího nejlépe odpovídá - v porovnání s chápáním Ježíše jako Bohem zmocněného člověka a jako Syna člověka - kognitivní charakteristice úspěšné náboženské představy a je tedy nejvhodnější k šíření. Protože se jedná o problematiku, která je úzce spojena s podrobnou analýzou dochovaných textových pramenů, je na úrovni metody zvolena kombinace klasické exegeze vybraných pasáží, analýzy kognitivních struktur sledovaných reprezentací, spolu s tzv. distančním čtením (distant reading). Nejprve jsou pomocí historicko-kritické metody identifikovány v novozákonních, apokryfních i raněkřesťanských textech prvních pěti staletí důležité pasáže vztahující se k analyzovaným představám - Ježíš jako rabbi, prorok, mesiáš, Syn člověka a Syn Boží. Následně jsou tyto představy analyzovány z hlediska jejich kognitivní struktury, přičemž je použit Barrettův systém kódování. V závěrečné části je tento přístup doplněn pomocí počítačové analýzy, aby byla ukázána použitelnost distančního čtení pro interpretaci raně křesťanských textů. Pozornost je soustředěna na analýzu proměny sémantického pole termínů Ježíš, Kristus a Bůh v korpusu řecky psaných raně křesťanských textů prvních pěti staletí našeho letopočtu. Obhájeno

    This paper analyzes the usage of machine translation in natural language understanding tasks. It explores the possibilities of using Czech machine translation of English datasets for training machine learning models and their application on natural language inference tasks. It uses online machine translation services for dataset translation. The training process utilizes transfer learning and existing pre-trained models. Finally, it evaluates the results of Czech models trained on translated data and compares them to the performance of English models trained on equivalent original data. Tato práce se zabývá analýzou využití strojového překladu v úlohách porozumění přirozenému jazyku. Prozkoumává možnosti použití českých strojových překladů anglických datasetů pro trénování modelů strojového učení a jejich aplikace na úlohu inference přirozeného jazyka. Pro překlad datasetů využívá online služeb strojového překladu. Proces trénování využívá přeneseného učení a existujících předtrénovaných modelů. Cílem práce je zhodnocení výsledků českých modelů trénovaných na přeložených datech a porovnání s výsledky anglických modelů trénovaných na ekvivalentních originálních datech. Obhájeno

    In this thesis, we evaluate multiple attribution methods applicable to Transformer models using the SST and CTDC datasets. We extend the CTDC dataset by adding ground-truth annotations based on keywords and pointwise mutual information, creating a ground-truth evaluation benchmark for the Czech language. We fine-tune seven models of various sizes and architectures with five instances each, allowing us to measure the effect of random initialization and model size. We also evaluate a distilled multilingual model on the CTDC dataset, showing that it makes rational decisions even when used with a language less represented in the pre-training process. We test attribution methods with different baseline references and sample counts, providing valuable insight for practical applications. We show that overfitting negatively affects gradient-based attribution methods, while KernelSHAP sees little performance degradation. Tato práce zkoumá atrubuční metody aplikovatelné na Transformer modely pomocí datových sad SST a CTDC. Do datové sady CTDC přidáváme anotace založené na klíčových slovech a bodové vzájemné informaci, čímž umožňujeme evaluaci atribučních metod na české datové sadě. Používáme sedm modelů různých velikostí a architektur, každý s pěti instancemi, což nám umožňuje měřit vliv náhodné inicializace a velikosti modelu. Používáme také destilovaný vícejazyčný model na datové sadě CTDC a ukazujeme, že se rozhoduje racionálně i při použití s jazykem méně frekventovaným v předtrénování. Testujeme atribuční metody s různými referenčními vstupy a počty vzorků, což poskytuje cenné poznatky pro praktické aplikace. Ukazujeme, že přeučení negativně ovlivňuje atribuční metody využívající gradient, zatímco u metody KernelSHAP, která gradient nevyužívá, dochází k velmi malému zhoršení. Obhájeno

    Authors: Šmíd, Jakub;

    This thesis focuses on cross-lingual aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA), an understudied area in contrast to monolingual ABSA. This thesis proposes two methods that can be used with prompting and traditional-based fine-tuning. The first method is a sequence-to-sequence method that solves multiple ABSA tasks simultaneously and outperforms previous state-of-the-art results on benchmark datasets in multiple languages. Prompting improves the performance of the T5 model and its multilingual version significantly, which resulted in the best overall results among the tested models. The best cross-lingual results are also promising. The second method classifies the sentiment polarity of aspect terms and categories, establishing new state-of-the-art results in multiple languages and achieving excellent cross-lingual results, often within 2% of monolingual results. In addition, this thesis presents a newly annotated Czech dataset for ABSA. Tato práce se zaměřuje na mezijazyčnou aspektově orientovanou analýzu sentimentu (ABSA), která je na rozdíl od jednojazyčné ABSA málo probádanou oblastí. V této práci jsou navrženy dvě metody, které lze použít jak s tradičním trénováním (fine-tuning), tak s použitím techniky zvané "prompting". První metodou je sequence-to-sequence metoda pro řešení více úloh ABSA současně a překonává předchozí state-of-the-art výsledky na referenčních datasetech. Prompting výrazně zlepšuje úspěšnost modelu T5 a jeho vícejazyčné verze, což vedlo k nejlepším celkovým výsledkům mezi testovanými modely. Slibné jsou také nejlepší mezijazyčné výsledky. Druhá metoda klasifikuje polarity sentimentu aspektových výrazů a kategorií, přičemž stanovuje nové nejlepší výsledky ve více jazycích a dosahuje vynikajících mezijazyčných výsledků, často v rozmezí 2 % od jednojazyčných výsledků. Kromě toho tato práce představuje nově anotovaný český dataset pro ABSA. Obhájeno

    Authors: Stehlíková, Anna;

Obhájeno

    Authors: Musílková, Květoslava;

Obhájeno

    Authors: Solár, David;

    Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die jüdischen Kulturpersönlichkeiten der Karlsbader Region in den breiteren kulturgeschichtlichen Kontext des jüdischen Lebens in den böhmischen Ländern einzuordnen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf ausgewählten jüdischen deutschen oder tschechischen Schriftstellern, Publizisten und anderen ausgewählten bedeutenden jüdischen Persönlichkeiten liegt, die zur Popularisierung und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung der Region beigetragen haben. Neben Persönlichkeiten, die direkt aus der Karlsbader Region stammten, werden auch Persönlichkeiten, die einen Teil ihres Lebens oder während längerer oder wiederholter Kuraufenthalte mit der Karlsbader Region verbunden waren, eingehend untersucht. Ein weiteres Ziel dieser Diplomarbeit ist es, die sozial- und kulturgeschichtlichen Besonderheiten der Karlsbader Region, insbesondere für die jüdische Gemeinde, darzustellen und die tschechisch-deutsch-jüdischen Gesellschaftsbeziehungen in der Region zu veranschaulichen, sowie Beispiele authentischer zeitgenössischer Korrespondenz des ausgewählten Zeitraums zu zeigen. Eine Besonderheit der Region ist die lange Zeit des Verbots der jüdischen Bevölkerung in der Kulturhauptstadt Karlsbad (auf Tschechisch Karlovy Vary) - offiziell seit dem königlichen Verbot von 1499 bis 1848). Die in Karlsbad arbeitenden Juden siedelten sich daher in den umliegenden Städten (insbesondere Lichtenstadt (auf Tschechisch Hroznětín) mit seinem großen jüdischen Viertel) und Dörfern an. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. und in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts entwickelte sich das religiöse und kulturelle Leben der Juden in der Karlsbader Region und passte sich sprachlich der deutschsprachigen Bevölkerungsmehrheit an. The aim of this thesis is to place the Jewish cultural personalities of the Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary) Region in the broader cultural-historical context of Jewish life in the Czech lands, focusing on selected Jewish German or Czech writers, publicists and other selected significant Jewish personalities who contributed to the popularization and economic development of the region. In addition to personalities who came directly from the Carlsbad Region, personalities who were associated with the Carlsbad Region for part of their lives or during extended or repeated spa stays are also examined in detail. Another aim of this thesis is to present the social and cultural historical peculiarities of the Carlsbad Region, especially for the Jewish community, and to illustrate the Czech-German-Jewish social relations in the region, as well as to show examples of authentic contemporary correspondence of the selected period. A specific feature of the region is the long period of the ban on the Jewish population in the cultural capital Carlsbad - officially from the royal ban of 1499 until 1848). Jews working in Carlsbad therefore settled in the surrounding towns (especially Hroznětín with its large Jewish quarter) and villages. In the second half of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century, the religious and cultural life of Jews in the Carlsbad region developed, adapting linguistically to the German-speaking majority of the population.     Authors: Veselá, Kateřina;

Obhájeno

Obhájeno

    Authors: Špiclová, Zdeňka;

Obhájeno

Obhájeno
