    For many of us, Bern is the place where the future of Modernity began after Einstein´s miracle year. On the 100th anniversary of the Dyson-Eddington-Davidson experiment that first tested the General Theory of Relativity, EAA comes to Bern to celebrate its own 25th anniversary. This fold in spacetime is therefore an extremely appropriate occasion to reflect on what our real contribution from Archaeology and Archaeological Heritage has been and can be, for a future in which everything that seemed solid in 1994 has melted away under the pressing threats that challenge an inclusive and progressive idea of Europe. If paradigms become like the mountains, barriers that enclose our lives and experiences, thinking beyond the limits enables us to discover the fractures in these paradigms that, like the passes through the mountains, foster interaction and convergence.     This workshop will present the capabilities of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to perform in-situ assessment of the protective properties of patinas, coatings or other protection systems on metallic cultural heritage. The workshop content is introductory to the technique, so no previous knowledge of electrochemical techniques is required. Students will be learn the fundamentals of the technique, its history and latest developments of in-situ measurements. The hands-on session will perform an EIS measurement on a real sculpture and interpret the results, and will focus on the practical implications and utility for conservation practice.

    En este pdf 3D presentamos los resultados de la documentación 3D de uno de los cacharros de estilo 'penha' más completos del NW peninsular: el recipiente SOJ 23P localizado en la 'Vinha da Soutinha' (Mairos, Chaves, Portugal). Se adscribe a la primera mitad del III milenio cal. B.C. (Calcolítico, aunque según algunos autores esta etapa debería ser conceptualizada en el NW peninsular como Neolítico Final). Este documento, un pdf 3D, permite interactuar con el modelo 3d: se puede mover el modelo 3D, rotarlo, girarlo, desplazarlo, hacer zoom, cambiar el aspecto e iluminación. Para ello es necesario tener instalado el programa gratuito ACROBAT READER 8 o superior. Recomendamos la instalación de la última versión disponible. Con el programa ADOBE ACROBAT PRO se puede además medir, hacer secciones e insertar comentarios en el modelo 3D. En caso de que no se vea, DESCARGAR PARA VISUALIZAR EL CONTENIDO 3D. Modelo tridimensional e información básica de uno de los cacharros tipo `penha` de Vinha da Soutinha (Mairos, Chaves, Portugal), el catalogado como 'SOJ 23P' y que actualmente se encuentra depositado en el 'Museu da Região Flaviense' (Chaves, Portugal). El modelo 3D fue creado por medio de Fotogrametría de objeto cercano (Close-Range Photogrammetry) en base a una serie de 52 imágenes generales y de detalle, y está escalado. El resultado es un modelo 3D interactivo, métrico, con aspecto realista (textura), representativo de la forma y aspecto de la cara externa del cacharro. Además, el modelo 3D está acompañado de imágenes, enlaces e información básica del cacharro, así como un vídeo que permite visualizar toda la cara externa del mismo.

    En esta ficha3D presentamos los resultados de la documentación por medio de Fotogrametría de objeto cercano (Close-Range Photogrammetry) de uno de los menhires más afamados de Galicia, A Lapa de Gargantáns, así como información e imágenes del elemento. Este un modelo, obtenido en base a una serie de fotografías generales del elemento obtenidas con una cámara compacta, alcanza mayor detalle y resolución en un par de caras, la que tienen mayor número de grabados, donde se emplearon un número de imágenes que en el resto. Este documento, un pdf 3D, permite interactuar con el modelo 3d: se puede interactuar con el contenido principal (el modelo 3D), rotarlo, girarlo, desplazarlo, hacer zoom, cambiar el aspecto e iluminación. Para ello es necesario tener instalado el programa gratuito ACROBAT READER 8 o superior. Recomendamos la instalación de la última versión disponible. Con el programa ADOBE ACROBAT PRO se puede además medir, hacer secciones e insertar comentarios en el modelo 3D. Además, el modelo 3D está acompañado de imágenes e información fundamental sobre este menhir.     For many of us, Bern is the place where the future of Modernity began after Einstein´s miracle year. On the 100th anniversary of the Dyson-Eddington-Davidson experiment that first tested the General Theory of Relativity, EAA comes to Bern to celebrate its own 25th anniversary.     This workshop will present the capabilities of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to perform in-situ assessment of the protective properties of patinas, coatings or other protection systems on metallic cultural heritage. The workshop content is introductory to the technique, so no previous knowledge of electrochemical techniques is required. Students will be learn the fundamentals of the technique, its history and latest developments of in-situ measurements. The hands-on session will perform an EIS measurement on a real sculpture and interpret the results, and will focus on the practical implications and utility for conservation practice.

    En este pdf 3D presentamos los resultados de la documentación 3D de uno de los cacharros de estilo 'penha' más completos del NW peninsular: el recipiente SOJ 23P localizado en la 'Vinha da Soutinha' (Mairos, Chaves, Portugal). Se adscribe a la primera mitad del III milenio cal. B.C. (Calcolítico, aunque según algunos autores esta etapa debería ser conceptualizada en el NW peninsular como Neolítico Final). Este documento, un pdf 3D, permite interactuar con el modelo 3d: se puede mover el modelo 3D, rotarlo, girarlo, desplazarlo, hacer zoom, cambiar el aspecto e iluminación. Para ello es necesario tener instalado el programa gratuito ACROBAT READER 8 o superior. Recomendamos la instalación de la última versión disponible. Con el programa ADOBE ACROBAT PRO se puede además medir, hacer secciones e insertar comentarios en el modelo 3D. En caso de que no se vea, DESCARGAR PARA VISUALIZAR EL CONTENIDO 3D. Modelo tridimensional e información básica de uno de los cacharros tipo `penha` de Vinha da Soutinha (Mairos, Chaves, Portugal), el catalogado como 'SOJ 23P' y que actualmente se encuentra depositado en el 'Museu da Região Flaviense' (Chaves, Portugal). El modelo 3D fue creado por medio de Fotogrametría de objeto cercano (Close-Range Photogrammetry) en base a una serie de 52 imágenes generales y de detalle, y está escalado. El resultado es un modelo 3D interactivo, métrico, con aspecto realista (textura), representativo de la forma y aspecto de la cara externa del cacharro. Además, el modelo 3D está acompañado de imágenes, enlaces e información básica del cacharro, así como un vídeo que permite visualizar toda la cara externa del mismo.

    En esta ficha3D presentamos los resultados de la documentación por medio de Fotogrametría de objeto cercano (Close-Range Photogrammetry) de uno de los menhires más afamados de Galicia, A Lapa de Gargantáns, así como información e imágenes del elemento. Este un modelo, obtenido en base a una serie de fotografías generales del elemento obtenidas con una cámara compacta, alcanza mayor detalle y resolución en un par de caras, la que tienen mayor número de grabados, donde se emplearon un número de imágenes que en el resto. Este documento, un pdf 3D, permite interactuar con el modelo 3d: se puede interactuar con el contenido principal (el modelo 3D), rotarlo, girarlo, desplazarlo, hacer zoom, cambiar el aspecto e iluminación. Para ello es necesario tener instalado el programa gratuito ACROBAT READER 8 o superior. Recomendamos la instalación de la última versión disponible. El resultado es un modelo 3D métrico representativo de la forma y aspecto del menhir del que se presentan dos productos: una versión del modelo 3D con aspecto realista (con textura) y otra versión sin textura que permite advertir más claramente los gravados que pudieron ser registrados tridimensionalmente con esta técnica. Además, el modelo 3D está acompañado de imágenes e información fundamental sobre este menhir.
