For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.euResearch data keyboard_double_arrow_right Dataset 2023 ItalianPublisher:University of Salento Authors: Canobbio, Giacomo;Canobbio, Giacomo; The aim of this essay is to identify criteria for affirming God's provident action. It follows two steps: in the first, with examples taken from history, is shown the most common way of recognizing God's Providence; this coincides with the advantages that a subject, single or collective, derives from an event; in the second, I try to show the limit of this way of proceeding and I indicate the fundamental criterion that we find in the New Testament: it is providential what leads to salvation, that is, to the configuration of people to Jesus Christ. The article has a theological character, although – one could imagine – it could also be of some use for philosophers.

For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.euResearch data keyboard_double_arrow_right Dataset 2022 ItalianPublisher:University of Salento Authors: Fedriga, Riccardo; Mattioni, Margherita;Fedriga, Riccardo; Mattioni, Margherita; In order to manage the unprecedented epistemological and cultural changes resulting from the ever-growing expansion of World Wide Web's global knowledge repository, an overall theoretical framework is needed. This contribution aims to interpret the digital cultural ecosystem in terms of an encyclopaedic project, with the belief that the exploitation of the great hermeneutic power of this image can provide an analysis of knowledge representation, classification and selection in the personalized Web. The idea behind this work is that we have to start from the social images that we create to represent reality and rationalise it. Among these, faced with the theme of a web that can no longer be traversed due to an excess of information, we would like here to take up the image of the encyclopaedia-memory - at once an instrument of registration, interpretation and filtering - developed by Umberto Eco in both semantic and metaphorical terms. In so doing, we can redefine an idea of normative freedom, i.e. one that is not limited to the level of choices, but also concerns ways of removing the obstacles that separate us from the realisation of motives.

What scenarios will open up for cultural institutions once the pandemic crisis is over? While on the one hand now days the ancient art now better know the importance of storytelling, on the other hand it is increasingly crucial to involve users in the co-creation of the digital cultural heritage. Among the strategies of public engagement, I experimented a participatory storytelling process at the "Museo etnografico della vita popolare di Tricase", which contributes to enlivening the reality of the Ethnographic Museum of Popular Life in a peripheral area of Southern Italy, Tricase. The aim is to implement the guidelines of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Property and the Council of Europe's Faro Convention.

We collected the scripts during the Horizon Europe RIA COALA (GA 957296, project reference website) from industrial use cases and hired a service provider to generate the related audio files (BIBA - Bremer Institut für Produktion und Logistik GmbH ordered the service). The service provider checked the audio files for quality. The service provider recruited crowd workers, and gathered their audio records, informed consent (privacy) and agreement that their records become public domain (Creative Commons 0; https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/public-domain/cc0/). The service provider declared to follow a Crowd Code of Ethics and a Fair Pay policy.
