NeMig represents a bilingual news collection and knowledge graphs on the topic of migration. The news corpora in German and English were collected from online media outlets from Germany and the US, respectively. NeMIg contains rich textual and metadata information, sentiment and political orientation annotations, as well as named entities extracted from the articles' content and metadata and linked to Wikidata. The corresponding knowledge graphs (NeMigKG) built from each corpus are expanded with up to two-hop neighbors from Wikidata of the initial set of linked entities. NeMigKG comes in four flavors, for both the German, and the English corpora: Base NeMigKG: contains literals and entities from the corresponding annotated news corpus; Entities NeMigKG: derived from the Base NeMIg by removing all literal nodes, it contains only resource nodes; Enriched Entities NeMigKG: derived from the Entities NeMig by enriching it with up to two-hop neighbors from Wikidata, it contains only resource nodes and Wikidata triples; Complete NeMigKG: the combination of the Base and Enriched Entities NeMig, it contains both literals and resources. The corresponding user data has been collected through online studies in Germany and the US. We used the participants' implicit feedback regarding their interest in an article to build their click history, and the explicit feedback in terms of news click behaviors to construct the impression logs. To protect user privacy, we assign each user an anonymized ID. The German and English user datasets are zip-compressed folders, which contain two files each. This record contains raw data related to article “Artificial intelligence processing electronic health records to identify commonalities and comorbidities cluster at Immuno Center Humanitas”. Background: Comorbidities are common in chronic inflammatory conditions, requiring multidisciplinary treatment approach. Understanding the link between a single disease and its comorbidities is important for appropriate treatment and management. We evaluate the ability of an NLP-based process for knowledge discovery to detect information about pathologies, patients' phenotype, doctors' prescriptions and commonalities in electronic medical records, by extracting information from free narrative text written by clinicians during medical visits, resulting in the extraction of valuable information and enriching real world evidence data from a multidisciplinary setting. Methods: We collected clinical notes from the Allergy Department of Humanitas Research Hospital written in the last 3 years and used it to look for diseases that cluster together as comorbidities associated to the main pathology of our patients, and for the extent of prescription of systemic corticosteroids, thus evaluating the ability of NLP-based tools for knowledge discovery to extract structured information from free text. Results: We found that the 3 most frequent comorbidities to appear in our clusters were asthma, rhinitis, and urticaria, and that 991 (of 2057) patients suffered from at least one of these comorbidities. The clusters which co-occur particularly often are oral allergy syndrome and urticaria (131 patients), angioedema and urticaria (105 patients), rhinitis and asthma (227 patients). With regards to systemic corticosteroid prescription volume by our clinicians, we found it was lower when compared to the therapy the patients followed before coming to our attention, with the exception of two diseases: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and Angioedema. Conclusions: This analysis seems to be valid and is confirmed by the data from the literature. This means that NLP tools could have significant role in many other research fields of medicine, as it may help identify other important, and possibly previously neglected clusters of patients with comorbidities and commonalities. Another potential benefit of this approach lies in its potential ability to foster a multidisciplinary approach, using the same drugs to treat pathologies normally treated by physicians in different branches of medicine, thus saving resources and improving the pharmacological management of patients.

This dataset includes data from OSL dating of 9 samples from the archaeological site of Cornebarrieu (France) performed at Archéosciences Bordeaux (UMR6034, Université Bordeaux Montaigne, CNRS, Pessac France) for Paleotime.

Emerging applications of biotechnology may give rise to new uncertainties and uncertain risks. There is a knowledge gap in when an uncertainty should be considered an uncertain risk – we sometimes simply do not know yet. Therefore, regulation concerning biotechnologies should create room to learn what uncertainties entail. However current regulatory structures do not allow for such learning which can hinder innovation. We have organized five stakeholder workshops to shed light on tensions between different stakeholder groups and their different estimates of uncertainties and uncertain risks through a case about the genetic engineering of plants’ rhizosphere. In addition, we have developed a tool for researchers that enables a constructive discussion about emerging risks with a broad range of stakeholders. This tool provides guidelines to identify uncertainties, and develop anticipatory strategies and adaptations in (experimental) research designs to lower or mitigate the earlier identified uncertainties. In addition, this tool helps to identify knowledge gaps for which (additional) risk research should be set up.

Dit gebied ligt vermoedelijk op terrasafzettingen die zijn afgedekt door dekzand. Binnen een straal van 500 m rondom het plangebied zijn geen bekende archeologische waarden aanwezig. Waarschijnlijk was het gebied vaak zeer nat als gevolg van waterstagnatie op de slecht waterdoorlatende grond en is het plangebied in gebruik geweest als brongebied voor het afplaggen van heide ten behoeve van potstalbemesting. Volgens de bodemkaart komen grotendeels beekeergronden voor. De grond van het plangebied is vermoedelijk te arm geweest voor een nederzetting met bijbehorende landbouwgrond. Uit historische kaarten blijkt ook dat het plangebied zeker tot in de 20e eeuw in grotendeels gebruik was als heidegrond. In de loop van de eerste helft van de 20e eeuw wordt het gebied in cultuur gebracht en wordt in de loop van de jaren ’70 van de vorige eeuw verder praktisch ingericht voor agrarisch grondgebruik.Onder meer vanwege de lage ligging was het gebied minder geschikt voor bewoning en vanwege het mogelijk afplaggen van de bovengrond en latere grondbewerking is het zeer waarschijnlijk dat de bodem tot aan of in het moedermateriaal (C-horizont) is geroerd. Derhalve is de kans klein dat archeologische resten in het plangebied aanwezig zijn.
