In 1961, the Eichmann trial opened in Jerusalem, and its worldwide resonance through media coverage questioned the collective conscience about responsibility for Nazi crimes. German philosopher Hannah Arendt attended the process as a special correspondent for the U.S. magazine The New Yorker. Her Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil (1963) caused a great scandal: the author advanced the brazen idea of collective co-responsibility for Nazi crimes, reporting the identikit of a standard bureaucrat, a seemingly ordinary man, just like any one of us. Almost sixty years after its publication, this study adopts a primarily psycho(patho)logical perspective to reflect once again on the considerations Arendt shared in the Banality of Evil. In showing the multiple facets of banality, the research investigates recent results in the analysis of the criminal mind in order to shed light on the etiology of evil. Gender, Religion and Feminism(s): An Interdisciplinary Approach stems from the international seminar dedicated to ‘Gender and Religion’, which was organized by the PhD Curriculum EDGES in ‘Women’s and Gender Studies’. This initiative took place within the thematic framework of the ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ project developed by the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (LILEC) of the University of Bologna. Planning such a seminar responded to a need that we literary scholars, together with our PhD students in Gender Studies, felt was essential in order to discover and understand more about categories of gender, sexuality and diversity when investigating the significance of religion(s) in cultural processes and current social development. This occasion thus gave us the opportunity to question and give voice to a vibrant cultural conversation from an interdisciplinary perspective, that explored the extent to which feminism(s) and gender analysis have been generating alternative readings of women’s agency ‘through’ and within theology and religious studies.

It is considered the most widely used test for standardized cognitive assessment in the clinical setting, especially with the elderly population. It has countless translations in different languages, and according to the different international (PubMed) and regional (SciELO, Redalyc, and Dialnet) scientific databases, it has been widely used by the scientific community. This article describes the historical evolution of the MMSE, highlights its evaluative properties, and provides bibliometric data on its impact on scientific publications, with a special focus on Ibero-America.

For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.eudescription Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 2022 Argentina EnglishAuthors: Zamora, Adriana; Menéndez Garmendia, Antinea; Ruiz Velasco, Fernando; Sánchez Mejorada, Gabriela; +2 AuthorsZamora, Adriana; Menéndez Garmendia, Antinea; Ruiz Velasco, Fernando; Sánchez Mejorada, Gabriela; Márquez Morfín, Lourdes; Gómez Valdés, Jorge A.;In bioarchaeology and forensic anthropology the most reliable skeletal element for sex estimation is the pelvis; nevertheless, when it is missing, other postcranial elements must be used. The main goal of this research is to provide sectioning points for sex assessment from humeral and femoral head diameters for three prehispanic and two contemporary Mexican populations. Using a sliding caliper, a total of 386 (45.3% female and 54.6% male) humeral and femoral head diameters were recorded. The sectioning point was calculated as the mean between sexes, and univariate independent sample t-tests were performed to test significant differences between sexes. The results demonstrate significant sexual differences in all populations and high percentages of correct sex classification (90%-94%). We conclude that the proposed cut-off points can be used as an alternative for sex estimation in Mexican populations, in contexts with incomplete skeletons and/or fragmented bones. For this reason, it has been seen the need to merge artificial intelligence with requirements engineering processes that mimic human behavior, through the creation of a vocabulary for the application, improving the Extended Lexicon of Language LEL, using Natural Language Processing, ontologies for semantic reasoning and heuristic rules to improve completeness.
