The digital text of the 13 books of the "Confessiones" by Augustinus is taken from The Latin Library (http://www.thelatinlibrary.com/august.html). The original text was lemmatized and PoS tagged with the UDPipe tool (using the PROIEL trained model). The output of UDPipe was then checked manually at the CIRCSE Research Centre of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, Italy. The linking of the text to the Lemma Bank of the LiLa Knowledge Base was performed at CIRCSE, too.

Computational Historical Semantics is a cooperative project involving the universities of Bielefeld, Frankfurt, Regensburg and Tübingen, coordinated at Goethe-University Frankfurt by an interdisciplinary team led by Bernhard Jussen and Alexander Mehler, and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research. The text database of the project gathers more than 4000 texts spanning from II to XV Century A.D. The section of the database linked to LiLa comprises 5 texts for a total approximately 1 million words.

The project provides the digital edition of the libretti staged for the election of the Council of the Elders in the Republic of Lucca. The celebration, known as funzione delle Tasche, was repeated every three years from 1636 to 1797. The present edition collects the works from 1636 to 1705 in order to analyze changes and recurring motifs throughout the 17th century in a republican context.

Lemma embeddings for Latin built from the LASLA corpus (Opera Latina) and the Index Thomisticus (Opera Maiora).

The Index Thomisticus Treebank (IT-TB) is the syntactically annotated portion of the Index Thomisticus corpus (Busa, 1974-1980), which collects the opera omnia of Thomas Aquinas. The IT-TB includes the “analytical” (i.e. surface syntactic) annotation of the entire “Summa contra Gentiles” (4 books), as well as of the concordances of lemma “forma” from “Scriptum super libros sententiarum magistri Petri Lombardi” (entire) and from “Summa Theologiae” (part). In total, the IT-TB consists of more than 450,000 nodes in around 25,000 sentences. The annotation guidelines, inspired by those of the analytical layer of the Prague Dependency Treebank, are available here: http://static.perseus.tufts.edu/docs/guidelines.pdf. The IT-TB features also more than 2.000 sentences from “Summa contra Gentiles” annotated at the tectogrammatical (i.e. underlying syntactic) layer. Prior polarity lexicon for Latin.

Training and gold test data released in EvaLatin 2020, the evaluation campaign of NLP tools for Latin. The two shared tasks proposed in EvaLatin 2020, i. e. Lemmatization and Part-of-Speech tagging, were aimed at fostering research in the field of language technologies for Classical languages. The shared dataset consists of texts taken from the Perseus Digital Library, processed with UDPipe models and then manually corrected by Latin experts. The training set includes only prose texts by Classical authors. The test set, alongside with prose texts by the same authors represented in the training set, also includes data relative to poetry and to the Medieval period.

The LiLa Lemma Bank is the core of the LiLa Knowledge Base. It consists of a large collection of Latin lemmas, serving as the backbone to achieve interoperability between the resources, by linking all those entries in lexical resources and tokens in corpora that point to the same lemma. Data are coded in a graph database (RDF triples - Turtle format).
