    This 2011 R/V Langseth expedition collected MCS data across the transition from the Chukchi Shelf to the Chukchi Borderland as part of the project: Plate Boundaries around the Chukchi Borderland. The goals were to image the transition between these two continental blocks in order to constrain the history and timing of relative motion between them and to establish the time stratigraphy along seismic profiles. The survey collected multichannel seismic reflection data and sonobuoy data. This dataset includes processed MCS data.

    A collaborative effort between LDEO and BGR, this was a two-ship survey. R/V Conrad and S/V Prospekta collected COP and ESP data on the Norwegian margin. S/V Prospekta was the lead ship during COPs for all lines. The primary objective was to obtain data on both sides of the conjugate margins with which to study the dipping reflectors and structures. A companion cruise, RC2411, obtained data on the Norwegian side. Funding was from NSF Grant OPP-8216014.

    This data set was acquired with the LDEO Portable HiRes Multi-Channel Seismic during R/V Cape Hatteras expedition CH0698 conducted in 1998 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Gregory Mountain). A joint project between LDEO and Rutgers University, this project was a detailed, high resolution seismic study of the New Jersey margin. The cruise served as a site survey for IODP Expedition 313. The project had a series of objectives, including seismically tying land drilling to offshore work; mapping spatial variability in imaged Tertiary sediments; examining sea-level fluctuation in seismic data; and surveying shallow water sites for potential future drilling. Data were acquired as part of the project: High-Resolution Nested Imaging of Nearshore Sequences, New Jersey Inner Continental Shelf: Linking Onshore and Offshore Sea-Level Studies, and funding was provided by NSF grant: OCE97-12191.
