    The DIAMAS project investigates Institutional Publishing Service Providers (IPSP) in the broadest sense, with a special focus on those publishing initiatives that do not charge fees to authors or readers. To collect information on Institutional Publishing in the ERA, a survey was conducted among IPSPs between March-May 2024. This dataset contains aggregated data from the 685 valid responses to the DIAMAS survey on Institutional Publishing. The dataset supplements D2.3 Final IPSP landscape Report Institutional Publishing in the ERA: results from the DIAMAS survey. The data Basic aggregate tabular data Full individual survey responses are not being shared to prevent the easy identification of respondents (in line with conditions set out in the survey questionnaire). This dataset contains full tables with aggregate data for all questions from the survey, with the exception of free-text responses, from all 685 survey respondents. This includes, per question, overall totals and percentages for the answers given as well the breakdown by both IPSP-types: institutional publishers (IPs) and service providers (SPs). Tables at country level have not been shared, as cell values often turned out to be too low to prevent potential identification of respondents. The data is available in csv and docx formats, with csv files grouped and packaged into ZIP files. Metadata describing data type, question type, as well as question response rate, is available in csv format. The R code used to generate the aggregate tables is made available as well. Files included in this dataset survey_questions_data_description.csv - metadata describing data type, question type, as well as question response rate per survey question. tables_raw_all.zip - raw tables (csv format) with aggregated data per question for all respondents, with the exception of free-text responses. Questions with multiple answers have a table for each answer option. Zip file contains 180 csv files. tables_raw_IP.zip - as tables_raw_all.zip, for responses from institutional publishers (IP) only. Zip file contains 180 csv files. tables_raw_SP.zip - as tables_raw_all.zip, for responses from service providers (SP) only. Zip file contains 170 csv files. tables_formatted_all.docx - formatted tables (docx format) with aggregated data per question for all respondents, with the exception of free-text responses. Questions with multiple answers have a table for each answer option. tables_formatted_IP.docx - as tables_formatted_all.docx, for responses from institutional publishers (IP) only. tables_formatted_SP.docx - as tables_formatted_all.docx, for responses from service providers (SP) only. DIAMAS_Tables_single.R - R script used to generate raw tables with aggregated data for all single response questions DIAMAS_Tables_multiple.R - R script used to generate raw tables with aggregated data for all multiple response questions DIAMAS_Tables_layout.R - R script used to generate document with formatted tables from raw tables with aggregated data DIAMAS Survey on Instititutional Publishing - data availability statement (pdf) All data are made available under a CC0 license. Additional ways survey data is made available IPSP dataset This dataset contains basic data of Institutional Publishing Service Providers (IPSPs) that will become part of an IPSP Registry in June 2025. It holds data about 651 organisations that responded to the survey and agreed to be listed in the IPSP registry. It contains names, contact information and information on countries, supported languages, parent organisations, IPSP type, services offered, output types, disciplinary and coverage. Downloadable in csv format from: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8269906.Description is at: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.8305139. Licence: CC0. Custom aggregate tabular data The DIAMAS project is open to community requests for performing quantitative analyses not available in the landscape report or the country reports. Until August 2025, and to the extent that capacity is available, quantitative analyses will be carried out and resulting aggregate data openly shared, without disclosing who requested the analysis. Any results will be downloadable in csv and xlsx formats from the DIAMAS Zenodo Community at https://zenodo.org/communities/diamasproject/.Please contact contact@diamasproject.eu for more information.

    Authors: Schumacher, Ulrich;

    Abstract The urban mask layer represents the planar polygon geometry of the settlement site of a city or municipality at a medium scale (1:10 000 - 1:25 000). It contains the built-up settlement areas of various types of utilisation as well as the closely spatially and functionally related traffic areas, sports and recreational areas, vegetation and water areas. Small, spatially isolated settlement objects are not included within the urban mask in accordance with the scale-related generalisation. The topographical geodata in Germany (ATKIS Basis-DLM) contains the object type "Ortslage", which provides (in its unified shape) the prototype for the urban mask of a city. A GIS method was developed to delineate the urban mask layer using European Copernicus data. To this end, the following land use classes from the nomenclature of the Urban Atlas 2018 were selected as components for the urban mask: Continuous and discontinuous urban fabric (built-up area and associated land, predominantly residential structures) (classes 11100, 11210, 11220, 11230, 11240); Industrial, commercial, public, military, and private units (class 12100); Port areas (class 12300); Construction sites and land without current use (classes 13300, 13400); Green urban areas (public green areas for predominantly recreational use such as gardens, zoos, parks, castle parks and cemeteries) (class 14100); Sports and leisure facilities (class 14200). In the Urban Atlas, road and rail transport is not differentiated according to whether the corresponding geo-objects are located within or outside the settlement area. Therefore, areas of inner-city transport can only be implicitly incorporated in the GIS algorithm for delineating the urban mask. An additional layer for tree-covered urban areas (so-called Street Tree Layer / STL) was also used from the Copernicus Urban Atlas. Value of the data In order to analyse urban structures or processes, it seems useful to consider the settlement space with its main physical components of built-up area, inner-city traffic and green space in a spatial context. Certain core urban metrics (e.g. on green infrastructure) would be rendered more meaningful with spatial reference to such an urban mask rather than the administrative city area. Furthermore, the urban mask can be used as a basic layer for cartographic visualisation in medium-scale applications. ESRI Geodatabase: Urban_mask_30_cities_UA2018.gdb The ESRI GDB provides 30 feature datasets for the following selected European cities: ANGERS, BARI, BERGEN, BRATISLAVA, BURGOS, CAMBRIDGE, COIMBRA, CORK, EDINBURGH, FREIBURG, GENOVA, LEIPZIG, LJUBLJANA, MALAGA, MARSEILLE, ODENSE, PERUGIA, PLOVDIV, PLZEN, REIMS, ROSTOCK, SALZBURG, SZEGED, TALLINN, TOULOUSE, UPPSALA, VERONA, VILNIUS, WIESBADEN, WROCLAW Each feature dataset includes the following 5 feature classes (polygons): · [city]_UA2018_UrbanCore Administrative city area · [city]_URBAN_MASK_2018 Urban mask layer · [city]_URBAN_MASK_GREEN_2018 Green urban areas (code = 14100)* · [city]_URBAN_MASK_GREEN_75M_2018 Green urban areas + 75 m buffer* [city]_URBAN_MASK_STL_2018 Street tree layer (tree-covered urban area)* * inside and clipped with the urban mask Remarks: The geodata from the ESRI GDB was used for the analyses described in reference [2]. A nutrient distribution such as phosphate (PO₄³⁻), ammonium (NH₄⁺), nitrate (NO₃⁻), dissolved silica (Si), total dissolved nitrogen (TN), dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) together with dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and inorganic carbon (DIC), was investigated during a high melting season in 2021 in the western Spitsbergen fjords (Hornsund, Isfjorden, Kongsfjorden, and Krossfjorden). Both the water column and the pore water were investigated for nutrients and dissolved carbon distribution and gradients. The water column concentrations of most measured parameters such as PO₄³⁻, NH₄⁺, NO₃⁻, Si, and DIC showed significant changes among fjords and water masses. In addition, pore water gradients of PO₄³⁻, NH₄⁺, NO₃⁻, Si, DIC and DOC revealed significant variability between fjords and are likely substantial sources of the investigated elements for the water column. The obtained dataset reflects differences in hydrography and biogeochemical ecosystem function of the western Spitsbergen fjords and may form the base for further modelling of physical oceanographic and biogeochemical processes within the investigated fjord systems.

    Dataset of 25 transcripts of qualitative interviews from the EU H2020 Project TRIPLE. Interviews were conducted with researchers and academics in Europe, belonging to various Social Sciences and Humanities disciplines and at different levels of career. The goal was to gather data for defining the user needs for a discovery platform for Social Sciences and Humanities and for building Personas and Scenarios. The data was collected in the period 01/10/2019 - 30/03/2020. This is a first version of the data. A more complete version will be uploaded by the end of the project (March 2023), and it will include additional data, at which point this version will be considered obsolete.

    Authors: Schumacher, Ulrich;

    Authors: Vasicek, Jakub;

    Database of protein sequences obtained using ProHap (https://github.com/ProGenNo/ProHap) on the data set of phased genotypes published by the 1000 Genomes Project, aligned with the GRCh38 genome build (https://www.internationalgenome.org/data-portal/data-collection/grch38). We used Ensembl v.110 for the mapping of coordinates between genes, exons, and transcripts. This data set contains six compressed directories provided, representing the five superpopulations included in the 1000 Genomes Project (https://catalog.coriell.org/1/NHGRI/Collections/1000-Genomes-Project-Collection/1000-Genomes-Project), and one created using all the samples included in the 1000 Genomes data set: AFR - African AMR - American EUR - European SAS - South Asian EAS - East Asian ALL - all participants in the 1000 Genomes Project Each of the directories contains the following files: F1: The concatenated fasta file ready to be used with search engines, contains the following: Protein haplotype sequences obtained by ProHap, using alleles with at least 1 % frequency within the selected population Reference proteome as per Ensembl v. 110 Contaminant sequences from the cRAP project (https://www.thegpm.org/crap/) F2: Additional information about the haplotype sequences, to be used for mapping identified peptides to the original haplotypes F3: Translations of haplotype cDNA sequences, before merging with the reference proteome For further description of the files, please refer to https://github.com/ProGenNo/ProHap/wiki/Output-files. For the usage of these databases with search engines, and downstream anaylsis of identified peptides, please refer to the project's wiki page: https://github.com/ProGenNo/ProHap/wiki/Using-the-database-for-proteomic-searches.
