This is the accompanying code to the Master Thesis research project "Cities for Citizens: Identification of Public Values and their Conflicts in Urban Spaces" conducted in cooperation with the CUSP Lab @ TPM TU Delft and the City Science Lab Hamburg. Aiming to identify public values and their spatial conflicts, a total of nine Jupyter notebooks and one R script follow the research flow as outlined in the Master thesis document.

Scripts for Virtuoso to create linked data from relational data, and for creating and using cultural heritage ontologies.

The information uploaded here contains the code for the relational database Prosobab. A dump of the collected data has been put in DANS (https://dans.knaw.nl/) Prosobab is an online database of recorded inhabitants of Babylonia between c. 620 and 330 BCE. Its main focus is on individuals who lived in southern Mesopotamia under Persian rule (539-330 BCE), but it also includes the preceding period of the Neo-Babylonian Empire in an attempt to contextualize their lives and those of their family members. In addition to person data, Prosobab collects information on the texts and archives in which the individuals are recorded. The database is developed in the framework of ERC project “Persia and Babylonia” at Leiden University and is intended for everybody with an interest in Babylonian history or the Persian Empire. {"references": ["C. Frog is an integration of memory-based natural language processing (NLP)modules developed for Dutch. All NLP modules are based on Timbl, the Tilburgmemory-based learning software package. Most modules were created in the 1990sat the ILK Research Group (Tilburg University, the Netherlands) and the CLiPSResearch Centre (University of Antwerp, Belgium). Over the years they have beenintegrated into a single text processing tool, which is currently maintainedand developed at Centre for Language and Speech Technology at Radboud University Nijmegen and the KNAW Humanities Cluster, Amsterdam. A dependencyparser, a base phrase chunker, and a named-entity recognizer module were addedmore recently. Where possible, Frog makes use of multi-processor support to runsubtasks in parallel. Frog offers a command-line interface (that can also runas a daemon) and a C++ library.

This is a Python binding to the tokeniser Ucto. Tokenisation is one of the first step in almost any Natural Language Processing task, yet it is not always as trivial a task as it appears to be. This binding makes the power of the ucto tokeniser available to Python. Ucto itself is a regular-expression based, extensible, and advanced tokeniser written in C++ (https://languagemachines.github.io/ucto).
