    Authors: Simonnot, Josephine;

    La plateforme web en ligne pour les archives sonores du CNRS-Musée de l’Homme permet d’accéder à des enregistrements musicaux du monde entier, publiés (disques) et inédit, collectés depuis les années 1900 jusqu’à nos jours. Nous présentons d’abord ces archives sonores gérées par le Centre de recherche en ethnomusicologie. Nous expliquons ensuite leur entrée dans le nouvel écosystème du Web ainsi que leur ouverture à un large public grâce à des outils d’analyse et de visualisation du son. Enfin, nous étudions comment une base de données d’archives sonores peut devenir un outil de collaboration pour produire et la diffuser des connaissances. The online web-based platform for the French CNRS-Musée de l'Homme sound archives offers access to published and unpublished recordings of music from all over the world, collected from the 1900's through the present day. We first introduce these sound archives managed by the Research Centre for Ethnomusicology. We then explain their entry in the new web ecosystem as well as their availability to a broad audience through a suite of tools for analysis and visualization. Finally, we study how a sound archive database can become a collaborative tool for the production and dissemination of knowledge.

    Authors: Burel, Erwan;

    Il s’agit ici de dessiner la trajectoire de Juan Mayorga, depuis les années 1990 où il commença à publier ses premiers textes, jusqu’à l’année 2016-2017, où il met en scène sa propre pièce El Cartógrafo. Mayorga occupe une place particulière dans le panorama théâtral espagnol contemporain : avant de devenir un des dramaturges les plus reconnus de sa génération, il a été professeur de mathématiques, et il est aussi docteur en philosophie, spécialiste de Walter Benjamin. Sa connaissance pointue de la pensée benjaminienne, notamment dans les domaines de l’histoire et de la politique, va durablement influencer son théâtre. Sa conception du théâtre, de l’art théâtral, est aussi de fait largement marquée par la philosophie, ce qui donne à sa dramaturgie une facture à la fois classique et singulièrement novatrice. Dans ce contexte, à la croisée du théâtre et de la philosophie, la question de la violence occupe une place essentielle. Buscamos dibujar la trayectoria de Juan Mayorga, desde los años 1990 cuando empezó a publicar sus primeros textos, hasta el año 2016-2017 cuando pone en escena su propia pieza El Cartógrafo. Mayorga ocupa un lugar particular en el panorama teatral español contemporáneo: antes de ser uno de los dramaturgos más reconocidos de su generación, fue profesor de matemáticas, y es también doctor en filosofía, especialista de Walter Benjamin. Su conocimiento profundo del pensamiento benjaminiano, especialmente en los ámbitos de la historia y la política, influenciará su teatro de forma duradera. De hecho, su concepción del teatro, del arte teatral, está ampliamente marcada por la filosofía, lo que confiere a su dramaturgia una factura a la vez clásica y muy novedosa. En ese contexto, a mitad de camino entre teatro y filosofía, la cuestión de la violencia ocupa un lugar esencial.

    Authors: Waksman, S.Y.; Carytsiotis, Marie-Myriam;

    International audience; The Türbe excavations provided information about the Byzantine and Turkish periods of Ephesos / Ayasuluk. Chemical analyses confirm the presence of several categories of ceramic imports belonging to the main "middle Byzantine production" that were widespread in the Mediterranean and date back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Ephesos is part of the distribution area of this production, together with several other Western Anatolian sites such as Pergamon and the nearby castle of Anaia/Kadikalesi, where it is present in significant quantities. Pottery was also manufactured in Anaia. It was diffused not only at a regional level, as shown here through examples found in Ephesos, but also reached the Crusader states as seen by its noticeable presence in Saint-Jean-d'Acre.Ceramic production in Ephesos is documented in the Türbe excavations through the discovery of rubefied layers, kiln furniture and wasters (Parrer, this volume). Several local groups, showing different chemical features, were identified thanks to local reference samples. These groups do not differ from those previously defined in a preliminary study of the Artemision material. The present study complements the previous chemical characterization and further illustrates the local manufacture of various types of table wares, from coarsely potted plain glazed to more "sophisticated" ceramics of "Islamic" types (turquoise glazed and molded wares). The latter would correspond to the introduction in the local repertoire of new stylistic and technological traditions, a phenomenon which would have occurred at the Beylik period in other Western Anatolian sites as well, such as Milet and Sardis. In Ephesos, the association of turquoise glaze or molded decoration with low-calcareous pastes, instead of calcareous ones, suggests an adaptation of the initial pottery traditions, as may be observed for example in Syria.The high degree of fragmentation of the sherds in the Türbe excavations on the one hand, and the fluvial disturbances of the stratigraphy on the other hand, made it difficult to reconstruct the typo-chronological features of the local repertoire. Some connections could be made with the better preserved material from the Artemision, but were limited within our sampling. It is hoped that further sampling and analyses of ceramics coming from other excavations in Ephesos / Ayasuluk (Tribune, Isa Bey Hammam, etc...) will make it possible for us to give further insight into these questions.

    Authors: Micollier, Evelyne;

    International audience; Framing “new ethics” within both Chinese and international characteristics has become a pressing issue, while China’s research and innovation policy encourages a turn towards a knowledge economy and while a number of international/Chinese corporations delocalize industrial production in poorer countries offering cheaper labour. Plural health ideas, practices and medical sciences currently develop within the broader framework of social and economic transformation of the Chinese society. Voices from civil society at large wish also to participate in the debates going on in the official, academic and media spheres. On one side, ethno-(medical) ethics may be contested by most international development actors who strongly support a universalistic view of ethics; on the other side, local/national knowledge through the voices of a number of lay people’s groups, locally-based and trained experts, and official actors gain ground for recognition. Of course positions taken by all these stakeholders towards such knowledge in terms of knowledge production, decision-making, and policy implementation may widely diverge. Issues raised in the 2000s relative to medical ethics, bioethics and the New Health Reform guidelines and implementation, will be discussed. My study is based on data collected using anthropological methodology within the framework of a research project (2006-2011), conducted in partnership between the Peking Union Medical College/Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Human and Social Sciences Department, Center for Bioethics (IRD and PUMC/CAMS) in Beijing. My paper is organized in three parts: the first part builds on the 2000s health reform; the second one is about ethno-ethnics in China and elsewhere; and the third reports about ongoing discussions in China on a few medical ethics-related issues.

    Authors: Gelati, Francesco;

    The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI) portal website aims to aggregate digitally available archival descriptions concerning the Holocaust. This portal is actually a meta-catalogue, or an information aggregator, whose biggest goal is to have up-to-date information by means of building sustainable data pipelines between EHRI and its content providers. Just like in similar archival information aggregators (e.g. Archives Portal Europe or Monasterium), the XML-based metadata standard Encoded Archival Description (EAD) plays a key role. The article presents how EADs are imported into the portal, mainly thanks to the Open Archive Initiative protocols.

    Authors: Campion, Jonas;

    International audience; A la fin de la guerre, la police néerlandaise est dans une situation délicate. Profondément transformée durant l’occupation, elle doit, se réorganiser et s’épurer. Les enjeux de ces processus sont nombreux et primordiaux en termes de rétablissement de l’état de droit et de légitimité d’action des institutions de régulations sociales. L’épuration prend une double forme : judiciaire d’abord, interne ensuite. Dans le cadre de cette communication, notre ambition est d’analyser, au sein de la Koninklijke Marechaussee en pleine réorganisation, les structures internes d’épuration et pratiques en découlant. Les sources mobilisées sont 1) les archives de l’institution, 2) les archives de la Militair Gezag, 3) des dossiers individuels d’épuration administrative (issus du Bureau Juridische Zaken. Zuivering van de Afdeling Politie). Notre propos est de caractériser cette épuration en termes de comportements et personnels poursuivis, mais aussi par rapport aux attentes placées dans ces procédures exceptionnelles. Dans ce but, des comparaisons seront notamment établies avec les épurations des gendarmeries belge et française. Au final, une question majeure guide nos réflexions : savoir si, l’épuration interne du corps de la Marechaussée Royale du corps fut, comme revendiquée à l’époque pour l’ensemble de la société néerlandaise, « rapide, rigoureuse et équitable ? »

    Authors: Lhuillier, Johanna;

    International audience; After the pioneering excavations of V.I. Sarianidi at Ulug-depe in the late 1960s, the site appeared as one the rare settlements of Central Asia with an occupation during both the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. For him as for the French-Turkmen Archaeological Mission currently working at the site, it offers an excellent opportunity to study the transition period between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. In this paper, we bring together some unpublished data from V. I. Sarianidi’s excavations and the first results of our recent work concerning this issue. In order to reach an understanding, we set back Ulug-depe in the context of the neighbouring settlements of the Kopet Dagh piedmont, but also of the contemporary sites of Margiana and Bactria. All together, the data evidence a continuity of the occupation between the Late Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age, in a context of coexistence of different cultural communities, and a progressive, but short transition phase.

    Authors: Petit, Remy, R.; Vendramin, Giovanni G.;

    Chap.2; International audience; Plants have unique biological attributes of great interest to researchers investigating population dynamics. Yet, until recently, organelle DNA had been seldom utilized for phylogeographic studies in plants. While cpDNA variation has been used extensively to construct interspecific phylogenies, many researchers have considered that the relatively low levels of intraspecific variation revealed by early studies of plant organelle DNA render these genomes of little use for intraspecific studies. In this review we introduce the field of plant hylogeography based on organelle polymorphisms by providing a detailed discussion of the processes underlying this variation. Progress in molecular organelle genetics has provided insights into the structure, variation, inheritance, vegetative segregation and recombination of organelle genomes. While some of these features (e.g. low substitution rates) may complicate phylogeographic studies, others(e.g. presence of two genomes and frequency of atypical modes of transmission) offer unique opportunities, many of which are virtually unexplored

    International audience; The spoons made from ox metapodial bones are specific bone objects, emblematic for the early Neolithic in the Balkans and Anatolia. They were finely made, sometimes even decorated, and their manufacture demanded high skill and knowledge. The paper will discuss the manufacturing techniques, with special focus on the data obtained through experimentation.

    Authors: Simonnot, Josephine;

    Authors: Burel, Erwan;

    Il s’agit ici de dessiner la trajectoire de Juan Mayorga, depuis les années 1990 où il commença à publier ses premiers textes, jusqu’à l’année 2016-2017, où il met en scène sa propre pièce El Cartógrafo. Mayorga occupe une place particulière dans le panorama théâtral espagnol contemporain : avant de devenir un des dramaturges les plus reconnus de sa génération, il a été professeur de mathématiques, et il est aussi docteur en philosophie, spécialiste de Walter Benjamin. Sa connaissance pointue de la pensée benjaminienne, notamment dans les domaines de l’histoire et de la politique, va durablement influencer son théâtre. Sa conception du théâtre, de l’art théâtral, est aussi de fait largement marquée par la philosophie, ce qui donne à sa dramaturgie une facture à la fois classique et singulièrement novatrice. Dans ce contexte, à la croisée du théâtre et de la philosophie, la question de la violence occupe une place essentielle. Buscamos dibujar la trayectoria de Juan Mayorga, desde los años 1990 cuando empezó a publicar sus primeros textos, hasta el año 2016-2017 cuando pone en escena su propia pieza El Cartógrafo. Mayorga ocupa un lugar particular en el panorama teatral español contemporáneo: antes de ser uno de los dramaturgos más reconocidos de su generación, fue profesor de matemáticas, y es también doctor en filosofía, especialista de Walter Benjamin. Su conocimiento profundo del pensamiento benjaminiano, especialmente en los ámbitos de la historia y la política, influenciará su teatro de forma duradera. De hecho, su concepción del teatro, del arte teatral, está ampliamente marcada por la filosofía, lo que confiere a su dramaturgia una factura a la vez clásica y muy novedosa. En ese contexto, a mitad de camino entre teatro y filosofía, la cuestión de la violencia ocupa un lugar esencial.

    Authors: Waksman, S.Y.; Carytsiotis, Marie-Myriam;

    Authors: Micollier, Evelyne;

    Authors: Gelati, Francesco;

    Authors: Campion, Jonas;

    International audience; A la fin de la guerre, la police néerlandaise est dans une situation délicate. Profondément transformée durant l’occupation, elle doit, se réorganiser et s’épurer. Les enjeux de ces processus sont nombreux et primordiaux en termes de rétablissement de l’état de droit et de légitimité d’action des institutions de régulations sociales. L’épuration prend une double forme : judiciaire d’abord, interne ensuite. Dans le cadre de cette communication, notre ambition est d’analyser, au sein de la Koninklijke Marechaussee en pleine réorganisation, les structures internes d’épuration et pratiques en découlant. Les sources mobilisées sont 1) les archives de l’institution, 2) les archives de la Militair Gezag, 3) des dossiers individuels d’épuration administrative (issus du Bureau Juridische Zaken. Zuivering van de Afdeling Politie). Notre propos est de caractériser cette épuration en termes de comportements et personnels poursuivis, mais aussi par rapport aux attentes placées dans ces procédures exceptionnelles. Dans ce but, des comparaisons seront notamment établies avec les épurations des gendarmeries belge et française. Au final, une question majeure guide nos réflexions : savoir si, l’épuration interne du corps de la Marechaussée Royale du corps fut, comme revendiquée à l’époque pour l’ensemble de la société néerlandaise, « rapide, rigoureuse et équitable ? »

    Authors: Lhuillier, Johanna;
