Interview with Trudi Noordermeer, Demmy Verbeke, Sally Chambers and Saskia Scheltjens about digital humanities and academic libraries in Flanders, Belgium

Het PROMISE-project kon niet worden bedacht zonder de kwestie van toegang tot Belgische webarchieven aan te pakken. Tijdens de conferentie “Saving the Web: the Promise of a Belgian Web Archive” werd daarom veel aandacht besteed aan de toegang en het gebruik van deze specifieke archieven. This article contextualises the battle of Waterloo and its impact on cultural life through the pages of the printed press. It looks at specific case studies and selects a number of issues to demonstrate how this event was possible the most defining battle of the nineteenth century.
