    This article emphasizes the importance of defining models and building modular software for digital humanities tools.     Traditional papyrology has optimized its ecdotic methods to study papyrological documents (diplomatic edition) and, simultaneously, the corresponding texts (critical edition). Prominent initiatives, such as Papyri.info, are striving to find an optimal trade-off between familiarity for traditional scholars and machine actionability for automatic processing. The approach proposed throughout this paper is based on the Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and, particularly, on the DSL-based Digital Scholarly Editions (DSEs). The work aims to create a comprehensive textual scholarship workflow implemented in a modular web environment named CoPhi Editor. The ERC GreekSchools project serves as the scientific testbench for co-design our editing environment with a multidisciplinary team of papyrologists, philologists, linguists, and other humanists.

    Cultural heritage (CH) sites are frequently exposed to natural elements, and their exposure becomes particularly precarious with the onset of climate change. This increased vulnerability places these sites at risk of deterioration or complete destruction. Risks such as land deformation, floods, acid rain, and erosion significantly threaten historic monuments, while water-related hazards, significantly influenced by both climate change and human activities, present a particularly grave risk to these invaluable sites. Considerable research efforts have focused on safeguarding CH sites. However, there remains a deficiency in systemic approaches towards identifying and mitigating risks for CH sites. The TRIQUETRA project proposes a technological toolbox and a methodological framework for tackling climate change risks and natural hazards threatening CH in the most efficient way possible. It aims at creating an evidence-based assessment platform allowing precise risk stratification as well as a database of available mitigation measures and strategies, acting as a Decision Support System (DSS) towards efficient risk mitigation and site remediation. TRIQUETRA is a European project that brings together a diverse group of researchers with varied expertise, encompassing university research groups, research institutes, public entities, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. In this article, TRIQUETRAs overall methodology is presented, and preliminary results concerning risk identification, TRIQUETRAs knowledge base, as well as novel sensors and coatings, are discussed.

    Abstract The NDT methods currently used in aviation MRO are predominantly labour-intensive and time-consuming processes performed by human operators throughout the lifespan of an aircraft. These techniques are time-consuming, require perpetual training and are highly dependent on the operator’s skills. Thus, there is a growing need for more efficient, automated, and accurate NDT tools that will be able to provide faster and less labour-intensive assessments. This study presents a novel, non-contact, automated NDT scanning system under development, which aims to reduce the inspection time significantly. The proposed technique uses a non-contact, Lamb wave-based approach. A further essential step during the process is to use an automated positioning system. Thickness mapping and defect detection in metal and composite structures have been performed. A local thickness map in the order of 1 mm has been obtained through a fast-scanning process with comparable resolution to conventional inspection techniques. Overall, it is currently concluded that the proposed NDT scanner is a promising tool that potentially can reduce the inspection time while also having the potential to automate the damage assessment resulting in more efficient MRO inspection processes.

Construction and Building Materials 417,135285 (2024) (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.conbuildmat.2024.135285) Abstract: The paper evaluates the sensitivity of sonic tomography imaging of historic masonry structures to variations in stress level and damage. Six stone masonry walls with different geometries representative of historical typologies were constructed by a professional mason. A laboratory campaign was carried out, subjecting the walls to cyclic uniaxial compression tests. During the test, an automated sonic tomography system was used to inspect the wall under loading cycles of increasing amplitude, which led to obtain tomographic images during loading and compare them under different stress level and damage condition. The use of robotic systems was proved essentialto carry out the sonic inspections simultaneously to the compression tests. Results show that sonic wave propagation is not only sensitive to damage level, but also to the stress state. Thus, sonic tomography has the potential to be used to measure damage and stress level of masonry components over time, for example during renovationworks on an existing construction.

    This study aims to awaken the consciousness of Christians worldwide, called the global church, about the menaces of heresies posed by this present age of globalisation and how to combat them. The age of globalisation is known as the age of information technology, communication systems, transportation networks, and religious marketing. In this age, the world is brought into one tiny unit known as the global village, and the global church cannot pretend to be unaware. Today, practically every aspect of life is affected by globalisation. The globe has successfully become a global village where information and technology are available to everyone every day, hour, minute, and second. The emergence of this trend has increased the number of heretical teachings, both in the church and on social media platforms. This descriptive study relied mainly on secondary data collected from various journals, magazines, books, and websites. Therefore, the paper examines the meaning and conceptions of globalisation, kingdom Christian education, and the global church; the menaces of globalisation on the global church; the historical conception and overview of heresy; how to identify heresies in the church; and recommendations on how to combat heresies.

    Traditional papyrology has optimized its ecdotic methods to study papyrological documents (diplomatic edition) and, simultaneously, the corresponding texts (critical edition). Prominent initiatives, such as Papyri.info, are striving to find an optimal trade-off between familiarity for traditional scholars and machine actionability for automatic processing. The approach proposed throughout this paper is based on the Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and, particularly, on the DSL-based Digital Scholarly Editions (DSEs). The work aims to create a comprehensive textual scholarship workflow implemented in a modular web environment named CoPhi Editor. The ERC GreekSchools project serves as the scientific testbench for co-design our editing environment with a multidisciplinary team of papyrologists, philologists, linguists, and other humanists.

    Traditional papyrology has optimized its ecdotic methods to study papyrological documents (diplomatic edition) and, simultaneously, the corresponding texts (critical edition). Prominent initiatives, such as Papyri.info, are striving to find an optimal trade-off between familiarity for traditional scholars and machine actionability for automatic processing. The approach proposed throughout this paper is based on the Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and, particularly, on the DSL-based Digital Scholarly Editions (DSEs). The work aims to create a comprehensive textual scholarship workflow implemented in a modular web environment named CoPhi Editor. The ERC GreekSchools project serves as the scientific testbench for co-design our editing environment with a multidisciplinary team of papyrologists, philologists, linguists, and other humanists.     Cultural heritage (CH) sites are frequently exposed to natural elements, and their exposure becomes particularly precarious with the onset of climate change. This increased vulnerability places these sites at risk of deterioration or complete destruction. Risks such as land deformation, floods, acid rain, and erosion significantly threaten historic monuments, while water-related hazards, significantly influenced by both climate change and human activities, present a particularly grave risk to these invaluable sites. Considerable research efforts have focused on safeguarding CH sites. However, there remains a deficiency in systemic approaches towards identifying and mitigating risks for CH sites. The TRIQUETRA project proposes a technological toolbox and a methodological framework for tackling climate change risks and natural hazards threatening CH in the most efficient way possible. It aims at creating an evidence-based assessment platform allowing precise risk stratification as well as a database of available mitigation measures and strategies, acting as a Decision Support System (DSS) towards efficient risk mitigation and site remediation. TRIQUETRA is a European project that brings together a diverse group of researchers with varied expertise, encompassing university research groups, research institutes, public entities, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. In this article, TRIQUETRAs overall methodology is presented, and preliminary results concerning risk identification, TRIQUETRAs knowledge base, as well as novel sensors and coatings, are discussed.

    Abstract The NDT methods currently used in aviation MRO are predominantly labour-intensive and time-consuming processes performed by human operators throughout the lifespan of an aircraft. These techniques are time-consuming, require perpetual training and are highly dependent on the operator’s skills. Thus, there is a growing need for more efficient, automated, and accurate NDT tools that will be able to provide faster and less labour-intensive assessments. This study presents a novel, non-contact, automated NDT scanning system under development, which aims to reduce the inspection time significantly. The proposed technique uses a non-contact, Lamb wave-based approach. A further essential step during the process is to use an automated positioning system. Thickness mapping and defect detection in metal and composite structures have been performed. A local thickness map in the order of 1 mm has been obtained through a fast-scanning process with comparable resolution to conventional inspection techniques. Overall, it is currently concluded that the proposed NDT scanner is a promising tool that potentially can reduce the inspection time while also having the potential to automate the damage assessment resulting in more efficient MRO inspection processes.

Construction and Building Materials 417,135285 (2024) (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.conbuildmat.2024.135285) Abstract: The paper evaluates the sensitivity of sonic tomography imaging of historic masonry structures to variations in stress level and damage. Six stone masonry walls with different geometries representative of historical typologies were constructed by a professional mason. A laboratory campaign was carried out, subjecting the walls to cyclic uniaxial compression tests. During the test, an automated sonic tomography system was used to inspect the wall under loading cycles of increasing amplitude, which led to obtain tomographic images during loading and compare them under different stress level and damage condition. The use of robotic systems was proved essentialto carry out the sonic inspections simultaneously to the compression tests. Results show that sonic wave propagation is not only sensitive to damage level, but also to the stress state. Thus, sonic tomography has the potential to be used to measure damage and stress level of masonry components over time, for example during renovationworks on an existing construction.

Today, practically every aspect of life is affected by globalisation. The globe has successfully become a global village where information and technology are available to everyone every day, hour, minute, and second. The emergence of this trend has increased the number of heretical teachings, both in the church and on social media platforms. This descriptive study relied mainly on secondary data collected from various journals, magazines, books, and websites. Therefore, the paper examines the meaning and conceptions of globalisation, kingdom Christian education, and the global church; the menaces of globalisation on the global church; the historical conception and overview of heresy; how to identify heresies in the church; and recommendations on how to combat heresies.
