[cat] Després d’explicar els diferents noms que rebien els clergues que exercien llur ministeri a les parròquies, s’analitzen els mitjans de subsistència que tenien, marcant la diferència que hi ha en la manera com es feia abans de les lleis desamortitzadores del s. XIX i la nova manera que generà el Concordat de 1851. Es posen uns exemples de fundacions parroquials i uns altres exemples de beneficis que tenia la parròquia inquera. La comunicació acaba presentant el llistat de rectors i altres clergues auxiliars que han treballat a les tres parròquies a partir de 1853. [eng] After explaining the different names that got the clergymen who carried out their ministry in the parishes, we analyzed the ways of subsistence they had, marking the difference that exists in the way it was done before the dismembering laws of the s. XIX and the new way that generated the Concordat of 1851. Some examples of parochial foundations and other examples of benefits that the parish inca had. The communication ends up presenting the list of rectors and other auxiliary clergymen who have worked in the three parishes since 1853.

El 1927, el folklorista Andreu Ferrer i Ginard (1887-1975) envià a la institució Llegendari Popular Català un extens recull inèdit de narracions populars de Mallorca i Menorca que ell havia arreplegat fent treball de camp a diverses localitats. Aquest recull, per diverses peripècies històriques, va restar fora de l’abast del públic durant dècades. No va ser fins el 2009 que Josep Massot i Muntaner el va poder recuperar i editar, sota el títol de Llegendes de les Balears. Comprèn 210 textos classificats temàticament en 22 seccions que varen ser recollits de la tradició oral entre 1903 i 1927. En aquest article es revisen les característiques del recull amb una especial atenció a la temàtica. També es treballa la classificació dels materials, delimitant els que poden ser catalogats com a rondalles dels que consideraríem pròpiament llegendes. Els materials rondallístics es cataloguen d’acord amb l’índex internacional ATU, per tal que puguin ser incorporats a l’índex tipològic català. També es reflexiona sobre els límits entre rondalla i llegenda In 1927, the folklorist Andreu Ferrer i Ginard (1887-1975) sent to the Catalan Folk Legends institution an extensive unpublished compilation of folk tales from Majorca and Minorca which he had collected doing field work in several towns. This collection, due to various historical vicissitudes, remained outside the scope of the public for decades. It was not until 2009 that J. Massot i Muntaner was able to retrieve and edit it, under the title Legends of the Balearic Islands. It includes 210 texts classified by topic into 22 sections that were collected from the oral tradition between 1903 and 1927. This article reviews the characteristics of the collection with a special attention to the topics. It also works on the classification of materials, by distinguishing those which can be listed as tales from those that can be considered legends. Folk tales are catalogued according to the ATU international index, so that they can be incorporated into the Catalan index. It also reflects on the limits between folk tale and legend.

For the first time, this article offers an interpretation of the process of construction the high altarpiece of the S. Nicola’s Church in Palma, we analyse the different projects presented and, finally, we contextualize this work in the landscape of local Baroque. In addition, we provide unprecedented information on some important artists of the first Settecento in Mallorca: J. de Berard, G. Mesquida, J. F. Aragón, Mateu Joan, Bernat Marimon. Per primera vegada s’interpreta el procés de construcció del retaule major de l’església de Sant Nicolau de Palma. S’analitzen els diferents projectes presentats i es contextualitza l’obra en l’escenari del barroc local. A més, s’ofereix informació inèdita sobre alguns importants artistes mallorquins del primer Set-cents: J. de Berard, G. Mesquida, J. F. Aragón, Mateu Joan, Bernat Marimon.

El senyor Llorenç Maria Duran Coli és un dels màxims representants de la renovació educativa mallorquina. En apropar-nos a la seva figura ens hem adonat de l’escassesa de publicacions referides a ell. És per aquest motiu que, a través de la present comunicació, volem reivindicar la seva vida i obra, concretament els anys que van de 1956 a 1972, etapa en què estigué al servei de Gas y Electricidad SA (GESA). Mister Llorenç Maria Duran Coli is one of the most important representative of the Majorcan educational renewal. When we’ve approached to his figure we have noticed the lack of publishing about him. It is for this reason that, with this communication, we want to reclaim his life and his work, particularly the years from 1956 to 1972, a period in which he was serving Gas y Electricidad S.A. (GESA).

At a certain moment, Russia, England and France considered offering the Napolitan royal family the new kingdom of the Balearic Islands in order to compensate the loss of their kingdom to the Two Sicilies. A un moment donat, Rússia, Anglaterra i França varen pensar indemnitzar la família reial napolitana de la pèrdua del seu regne mitjançant l’assignació de l’eventual nou regne de les Illes Balears.

[cat]L’Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca, entre d’altres, conserva un gran nombre de documents datats entre els segles XIII i XV, amb moltes notícies que fan referència explícita als jueus que visqueren a la vila d’Inca, així com també a la fundació d’un barri on foren reclosos a partir de 1372, conegut popularment amb el nom d’“el Call”. Sobre aquest, gràcies a diversos historiadors, a dia d’avui, comptam amb una sèrie de publicacions en què han quedat enregistrades totes aquestes dades històriques. A més d’aquestes fonts historiogràfiques, en disposam d’altres de bibliogràfiques, de diversa índole, entre les quals cal destacar: diferents llibres de la història d’Inca en què apareixen alguns capítols dedicats pròpiament a la història dels jueus; altres publicacions que inclouen una àmplia relació cronològica mitjançant la transcripció de documents històrics, de caire general, relacionats amb aquesta temàtica, a part de diversos articles que fan referència a la comunitat jueva de Mallorca, en general, i de la nostra vila, en particular. Precisament, amb el present article, no he pretès altra cosa que elaborar una primera aproximació a la història dels jueus inquers a l’època medieval a partir dels primers temps fins a les darreres notícies documentades que tenim a l’abast, sense deixar de formular algunes hipòtesis que, en un futur, puguin servir per encetar noves línies d’investigació i, d’aquesta manera, contribuir a la recuperació d’una part molt important del nostre passat i del llegat històric molt sovint oblidats. [eng] In the Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca, among others, a large number of documents dated between the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries are preserved, with many news that make explicit reference to the Jews who lived in Inca, as well as to the foundation of a neighborhood where they were imprisoned from 1372, popularly known in Catalan with the name of “the Call”, on which, thanks to various historians, nowadays, we have several publications where they have been registered all this historical news. In addition to these historiographical sources, we also have other bibliographies, of various kinds, among which we must highlight: different books of the history of Inca where some chapters are specifically dedicated to the history of the Jews appear; other publications that include a broad chronological relationship through the transcription of historical documents, of a general type, related to this subject; apart from various articles that refer to the Jewish community of Mallorca, in general, and our city, in particular. Precisely, with this article, I have not intended anything other than to elaborate a first approximation to the history of the Inca Jews of medieval times from the first to the last documented news that we have, without stopping to formulate some hypotheses that, in the future, they can serve to open new lines of research and, in this way, contribute to the recovery of a very important part of our past and a historical legacy very often forgotten.

Els segles XVI i XVII fou una època en què l’església de Binissalem –Mallorca– va refer i crear alguns dels seus retaules. En aquest article s’estudia la construcció de dos d’aquests mobles retaulístics que foren fets durant el segle XVII. Els dos varen ser fabricats per escultors mallorquins i es renovaren o destruïren durant el segle XVIII. The 16th and 17th century was a time when the church of Binissalem, Majorca, constructed and re-constructed some of its altarpieces. In this article we study the construction of two of these altarpieces, dating from the 17th century. Both were manufactured by Majorcan sculptors and both were renovated or destroyed in the eighteenth century.

[cat]Durant els últims anys han estat publicats diversos estudis sobre biografies d’eclesiàstics mallorquins i les seves famílies. El present article se centra en la figura de Dionisio Sánchez Muñoz, que va accedir a una canongia durant l’episcopat del seu oncle, Gil Sánchez Muñoz. Aquest accés, però, es va veure obstaculitzat per les pretensions de Pere Pelegrí, familiar del papa Eugeni IV. A través del procés judicial iniciat per aquest motiu, es pretén observar com les vinculacions personals i familiars jugaven un rol fonamental a l’hora de proveir les prebendes catedralícies. [eng]Some studies about biographies of clergymen from Majorca and their families have been published during the last years. This paper focuses on Dionisio Sánchez Muñoz, who acceded to a canonry while his uncle, Gil Sánchez Muñoz, was the bishop of the diocese. But this access was obstructed by the aspirations of Pere Pelegrí, who was a member of the familia of Pope Eugene IV. Through the judicial trial initiated for this reason, this paper expects to understand how the personal and family relationships had an essential role in granting cathedral sinecures.
