This is part 4 of the Rchon statistics course. It continues the basics of statistical testing in R. This is part 2 of the Rchon statistics course. The purpose of this tutorial is to extend the application of R from basic data analysis and visualisation to formal statistical testing. In this tutorial, we will treat the following statistical testing methods: t-test ANOVA Further testing methods (including chi square test, Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis test) will be treated in part 3 and 4 of this course. Natural Language Processing (NLP) is an interdisciplinary field whose goal is to create machines that understand natural languages. The lesson features: (i) an introduction to the key concepts and techniques of NLP; (ii) hands-on activities on some NLP tasks, such as lemmatization, part-of-speech tagging and named entity recognition using CLARIN-ERIC tools. The use case covered by the hands-on activities is particularly suited for trainees in the field of Digital Humanities given that the text is taken from a corpus of historical travel writings.

Actividad de trabajo integrada dentro de la Unidad didáctica: "El mundo medieval. Relgiones, campesinado y ciudades". Lleva por título "Espacios habitados. Mundo rural y mundo urbano". Con ella se pretende que el alumnado de 2º de la ESO se acerque al conocimiento de los modos de vida en una yacimiento arqueológico habitado en época islámica como es el Molón de Camporrobles (Valencia). A través de la arqueología se fomentan otras formas de enseñar los discursos históricos.
