This surgical heritage article provides a historical overview of the most important early advances of vascular- and valvular surgery, that lead to the development of currently used vascular- and valvular prostheses and materials. The first writings describing techniques in vascular surgery mainly focussed on hemorrhage control and date from around 1600 B.C. The strategy of vessel ligation was first mentioned in Western literature around 200 B.C. In the 18th century, techniques of ligation were expanded towards attempts of vessel restoration. The first artificial vascular prosthesis was made in 1894. From this time on, vascular prostheses were used in animal experiments and around 1900 for the first time in humans. More than 60 years later, in 1952, the first mechanical heart valve prosthesis was implanted. Four years later, the first successful biological heart valve implantation followed. In 2000, a transcatheter heart valve was successfully implanted in a human for the first time. Over time, procedures and techniques became more efficient and effective. This led to new developments, such as the manufacturing of a tissue engineered blood vessel in 1986. Nowadays, dozens of different valve prostheses have been devised, both mechanical and biological. Still, no ideal model of vascular and heart valve prosthesis exists.

This report is based on the discussions and presentations that took place at the Workshop on Sustainable Software Sustainability (www.software.ac.uk/wosss19) in April 2019 (WOSSS19). It captures the state of the art for a range of Software Sustainability themes that were brought up by the organisers and attendees of the workshop.

Information technology is so ubiquitous and AI's progress so inspiring that also legal professionals experience its benefits and have high expectations. At the same time, the powers of AI have been rising so strongly that it is no longer obvious that AI applications (whether in the law or elsewhere) help promoting a good society; in fact they are sometimes harmful. Hence many argue that safeguards are needed for AI to be trustworthy, social, responsible, humane, ethical. In short: AI should be good for us. But how to establish proper safeguards for AI? One strong answer readily available is: consider the problems and solutions studied in AI & Law. AI & Law has worked on the design of social, explainable, responsible AI aligned with human values for decades already, AI & Law addresses the hardest problems across the breadth of AI (in reasoning, knowledge, learning and language), and AI & Law inspires new solutions (argumentation, schemes and norms, rules and cases, interpretation). It is argued that the study of AI as Law supports the development of an AI that is good for us, making AI & Law more relevant than ever.

Hobby metal detecting is a controversial subject. Legal and policy approaches differ widely across national and regional contexts, and the attitudes of archaeologists and heritage professionals towards detectorists are often polarized and based on ethical or emotive arguments. We, the European Public Finds Recording Network (EPFRN), have implemented collaborative approaches towards detectorist communities in our respective contexts (Denmark, England and Wales, Finland, Flanders, and the Netherlands). Although our motivations are affected by our national circumstances, we base our work on an agreed set of goals, practices, and visions. This article presents the EPFRN's vision statement and provides insight into its underlying thoughts. We hope to create a debate on how to develop best practice approaches that acknowledge the inherent challenges of hobby metal detecting while realizing its potential.

This submission contains three tomographic datasets of a fragment of fabric woven in tapestry weave. The data is collected at three different zoom levels to achieve different reconstructed image resolution. The data is made available as part of [Bossema 2020].
