    Resumen: El III Concilio de Toledo en 589 inició un largo siglo VII hasta la invasión islámica en 711, coincidiendo con el período católico del reino visigodo. Para las poblaciones judías de la Hispania tardoantigua, este largo período de unos 122 años es considerado como un paréntesis “protohistórico”, en que se ausentan fuentes internas de los propios judíos en casi su totalidad. Este carácter “protohistórico” del judaísmo del siglo VII fue aceptado por parte de la historiografía convencional a través de la lectura de las fuentes externas y a menudo hostiles a los judíos, como las eclesiásticas y las regias, describiendo una creciente persecución que acabó en parte o totalmente con la vida judía hispana. Sin embargo, la epigrafía judía de los siglos VI al VIII nos brinda una visión distinta de su devenir durante su supuesta persecución. Las prácticas epigráficas judías en territorios controlados por los reyes visigodos muestran una clara continuidad antes, durante y después del largo siglo VII. Una presencia judía continuada a lo largo de este período invita a reflexionar sobre la dependencia historiográfica de las fuentes documentales para conocer al judaísmo hispano del reino visigodo de Toledo. Abstract: The period known as the “long 7th century”, starting from the III Council of Toledo in 589AD up until the Islamic invasion in 711AD, coincided with the Catholic period of the Visigothic Kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula. For the Late Antique Hispanian Jewish communities, this long 122-year period is considered as a “protohistoric” parenthesis, in which internal Jewish sources are almost entirely absent. This historiographical aspect of 7th century Judaism was accepted by sections of conventional research who follow external, and often hostile ecclesiastical and royal sources on the Jews, describing an increasingly virulent persecution that ultimately ended Jewish life in Hispania, whether partially or completely. However, a different view of their fate through their apparent persecution is provided by Jewish epigraphy between the 6th and 8th centuries. The epigraphic Jewish practices before, during and after the “long 7th century” show a continuity of public displays of their Judaism in territories controlled by the Visigothic kings. Such a documented Jewish presence found during this period invites us to reflect on the historiographic dependency of documentary sources when studying Hispanian Judaism under the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo. Resumo: O Terceiro Concílio de Toledo em 589 iniciou um longo século VII até a invasão islâmica em 711, coincidindo com o período católico do reino visigodo. Para as populações judaicas da Antiguidade Tardia Hispania, esse longo período de cerca de 122 anos é considerado um parêntese "proto-histórico", no qual as fontes internas dos próprios judeus estão quase inteiramente ausentes. Esse caráter “proto-histórico” do judaísmo do século VII foi aceito pela historiografia convencional por meio da leitura de fontes externas e muitas vezes hostis aos judeus, como fontes eclesiásticas e régias, descrevendo uma crescente perseguição que terminou parcial ou totalmente com os a vida judaica hispânica. No entanto, a epigrafia judaica dos séculos VI a VIII dá-nos uma visão diferente de seu destino durante sua suposta perseguição. As práticas epigráficas judaicas em territórios controlados pelos reis visigodos mostram uma clara continuidade antes, durante e depois do longo século VII. A continuidade da presença judaica ao longo deste período nos convida a refletir sobre a dependência historiográfica das fontes documentais para conhecer o Judaísmo Hispânico do reino visigodo de Toledo.

    Resumen: A diferencia de otras minorías trabajadas en este volumen, la arriana constituyó una minoría dominante en la Península hasta la conversión de Recaredo. Al considerarla un derivado de la procedencia étnica, la historiografía tradicional no exploraba demasiado en el componente religioso de la dominación. En este artículo estudiamos lo más profundamente que las fuentes nos permiten la dimensión religiosa que propone este modo de ordenar la sociedad. Haremos este trabajo en dos niveles solidarios: el arrianismo como parámetro de jerarquía y el arrianismo como teología. Abstract: Unlike other minorities examined in this volume, the Arian one constituted a dominant minority in the Peninsula until the conversion of Reccared. While considering the Arian creed as an ethnic command, traditional historiography did not explore too much in the religious component of domination. As deeply as the sources allow us, in this article we study the religious dimension proposed by this way of ordering society. We will do this work on two converging levels: Arianism as a parameter of hierarchy and Arianism as theology. Resumo: Ao contrário de outras minorias trabalhadas neste volume, os arianos constituíam uma minoria dominante na Península até à conversão de Recaredo. Considerando-o um derivado de origem étnica, a historiografia tradicional não explorou muito o componente religioso da dominação. Neste artigo estudamos tão profundamente quanto as fontes nos permitem a dimensão religiosa proposta por esta forma de ordenar a sociedade. Faremos este trabalho em dois níveis: o arianismo como parâmetro de hierarquia e o arianismo como teologia.

    Este trabajo forma parte del Plan Museológico llevado adelante por el Servicio Geológico Minero Argentino (SEGEMAR), con el fin de recuperar y poner en valor una importante colección de rocas, minerales, fósiles, cartografías, fotografías, equipos e instrumentos de exploración, constituida por el Estado argentino a partir de 1890, con la creación del Museo del Departamento Nacional de Minas y Geología. A partir de la revisión de fuentes documentales primarias, se logra describir el origen de este primer Museo, identificando su desenvolvimiento más importante entre 1890 y 1974. Período durante el cual, el área geológica y minera gubernamental logra mantener activo el Museo, con un crecimiento permanente de su colección, debido a la concurrencia de investigadores internacionales, pioneros en la investigación geológica nacional, y a su vez, formadores de los primeros geólogos y geólogas argentinas, estableciendo la primera cátedra de esta especialidad en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. This work is part of the Museum Planning carried out by the Argentine Mining Geological Survey, in order to recover and value an important collection of rocks, minerals, fossils, cartographies, photographs, survey tools and equipment, gathered by Argentine State organizations since 1890, beginning with the creation of the Museum of the National Mining and Geological Department. The review of primary documentary sources allowed us to characterize the origin of this first Museum, whose most important development period took place between 1890 and 1974. During this lapse, the Governmental area for Geology and Mining was able to keep the Museum active, with permanent increase of its collections due to the visits and contributions of international researchers, who pioneered geological research in Argentina and were in turn the trainers of the first local geologists, establishing the first chair to teach this specialty at the University of Buenos Aires. Este trabalho faz parte do Plano Museológico realizado pelo Serviço Geológico Mineiro Argentino (SEGEMAR), com o objetivo de recuperar e valorizar uma importante coleção de rochas, minerais, fósseis, cartografias, fotografias, equipamentos e instrumentos de exploração, constituída pelo Estado argentino a partir de 1890, com a criação do Museu do Departamento Nacional de Minas e Geologia. A partir da revisão de fontes documentais primárias é possível descrever a origem deste primeiro Museu, identificando o seu desenvolvimento mais importante entre 1890 e 1974. Neste período a área geológica e mineira governamental conseguiu manter o Museu ativo, com um crescimento permanente de sua coleção, graças à colaboração de pesquisadores internacionais, pioneiros na pesquisa geológica nacional e, por sua vez, formadores dos primeiros geólogos e geólogas argentinos, estabelecendo a primeira cátedra desta especialidade na Universidade de Buenos Aires.     Resumen: Este trabajo propone, en primer lugar, un análisis del prefacio del De comprobatione sextae aetatis, una obra elaborada por el obispo Julián de Toledo en torno al año 686, en el contexto de las relaciones entre judíos y cristianos en el reino visigodo de Toledo. Se indagará, principalmente, en su contenido, en los intereses que motivaron su producción y en los posibles auditorios imaginados por el toledano. En segundo lugar, presentamos la traducción al español tanto del prefacio como de la oración, los dos textos que acompañan al De comprobatione. Abstract: This study offers an analysis of the preface to the De comprobatione sextae aetatis, a work written by Bishop Julian of Toledo around 686, in the context of the Jewish-Christian relations in the Visigothic kingdom of Toledo. We will examine its content, the issues that motivated its production and the possible audiences imagined by the Toledan bishop. Furthermore, we offer a translation into Spanish of both the preface and the oration, the two texts accompanying the De comprobatione. Resumo: Este artigo começa com uma análise do prefácio de De comprobatione sextae aetatis, uma obra escrita pelo bispo Juliano de Toledo por volta de 686, no contexto das relações entre judeus e cristãos no reino visigótico de Toledo. Investigaremos principalmente seu conteúdo, os interesses que motivaram sua produção e os possíveis públicos imaginados pelo bispo de Toledo. Em segundo lugar, apresentaremos a tradução para o espanhol tanto do prefácio quanto da oração, os dois textos que acompanham o De comprobatione.

    Como plenarista del V Congreso de la AAHD presenté varias metodologías que aplico a cuestiones literarias de forma experimental. Utilizando de ejemplo un experimento sobre análisis de sentimientos, justifico la necesidad de dar cuenta de los entornos HD multilingües desde mi experiencia bilingüe en los Estados Unidos, dentro de las digital humanities en general y de los talleres en particular para proponer experimentos piloto con metodologías existentes como prototipos para puntos de entrada al análisis de texto en diferentes idiomas. Este artículo no afirma que el método aquí usado sea el mejor enfoque lingüístico o cultural para el análisis de sentimientos de los productos culturales hispanoamericanos. Sin embargo, defiende el potencial de explorar técnicas disponibles para crear espacios más inclusivos en escenarios de aprendizaje rápido y en los que, por norma general, los textos literarios utilizados pertenecen al canon anglosajón.     El pasado 13 de mayo se inauguró la “Exhibición fundamental de arte en los libros de poesía y ficción” curada por Belén Coluccio y Juan Cruz Pedroni en Local de Artes Recientes (LAR). Esta muestra, que pudo visitarse hasta el 10 de junio, propuso derroteros reflexivos sobre algunos hitos de la cultura impresa argentina del siglo XX que profesaron un estrecho vínculo entre la literatura y el arte desde distintas coordenadas. Así, en una apuesta curatorial perspicaz, en la que no estuvo ausente el contacto directo e íntimo, diversos proyectos editoriales salieron al encuentro de los visitantes durante casi un mes. On May 13 the “Exhibición fundamental de arte en los libros de poesía y ficción”, curated by Belén Coluccio and Juan Cruz Pedroni, was inaugurated at Local de Artes Recientes (LAR). This exhibition, which could be visited until June 10, proposed reflective paths on some milestones of Argentine print culture of the 20th century that professed a close link between literature and art from different coordinates.     La moderna historia artístico-institucional argentina tiene un recorrido que se origina en Buenos Aires en 1876 desde una iniciativa particular, con la fundación de la Sociedad Estímulo de Bellas Artes, y que, sólo en 1905, se vuelve nacional con el nacimiento de la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes. Las investigaciones que han ahondado en este proceso se han enfocado sobre todo en subrayar la continuidad casi biológica entre las dos instituciones; en cambio, este trabajo apunta a destacar el rol que tuvo la constitución de la Comisión Nacional de Bellas Artes (1897) para la configuración de una institución gubernamental de enseñanza artística. The origins of Argentina’s artistic-institutional history can be traced back to the foundation of a private institution, the Sociedad Estímulo de Bellas Artes, in Buenos Aires in 1876; while the National Academy of Fine Arts was not established until 1905. Previous research has mainly focused on the almost organic continuity between the two institutions. In contrast, this paper will emphasize the role played by the establishment of the Comisión Nacional de Bellas Artes (1897) in the formation of a governmental institution for artistic education, which was founded to regulate pensions for artistic studies abroad.     The present study explores the exclamative use of the feminine definite article la in structures such as ‘¡La de chicos que besé en la fiesta!’ (How many guys I kissed at the party!). First, a morphosyntactic description of the pattern is offered so as to show that the data under analysis are pseudopartitive constructions which display all the characteristics of primary and partial exclamatives. Building on research on nominal exclamatives, we conclude that these examples are not CPs but indefinite DPs with an exclamative flavor which contain a semi-relative clause introduced by que. Within the framework of Distributed Morphology, we schematize a set of syntactic structures which capture the ‘chimeric’ and hybrid nature of the data, these being halfway between DPs and exclamative clauses. In order to do so, it will be necessary to split the DP into smaller projections (FocP, FinP), since la must move to Spec-FocP to be interpreted as an exclamative operator.

    Resumen: El III Concilio de Toledo en 589 inició un largo siglo VII hasta la invasión islámica en 711, coincidiendo con el período católico del reino visigodo. Para las poblaciones judías de la Hispania tardoantigua, este largo período de unos 122 años es considerado como un paréntesis “protohistórico”, en que se ausentan fuentes internas de los propios judíos en casi su totalidad. Este carácter “protohistórico” del judaísmo del siglo VII fue aceptado por parte de la historiografía convencional a través de la lectura de las fuentes externas y a menudo hostiles a los judíos, como las eclesiásticas y las regias, describiendo una creciente persecución que acabó en parte o totalmente con la vida judía hispana. Sin embargo, la epigrafía judía de los siglos VI al VIII nos brinda una visión distinta de su devenir durante su supuesta persecución. Las prácticas epigráficas judías en territorios controlados por los reyes visigodos muestran una clara continuidad antes, durante y después del largo siglo VII. Una presencia judía continuada a lo largo de este período invita a reflexionar sobre la dependencia historiográfica de las fuentes documentales para conocer al judaísmo hispano del reino visigodo de Toledo. Abstract: The period known as the “long 7th century”, starting from the III Council of Toledo in 589AD up until the Islamic invasion in 711AD, coincided with the Catholic period of the Visigothic Kingdom in the Iberian Peninsula. For the Late Antique Hispanian Jewish communities, this long 122-year period is considered as a “protohistoric” parenthesis, in which internal Jewish sources are almost entirely absent. This historiographical aspect of 7th century Judaism was accepted by sections of conventional research who follow external, and often hostile ecclesiastical and royal sources on the Jews, describing an increasingly virulent persecution that ultimately ended Jewish life in Hispania, whether partially or completely. However, a different view of their fate through their apparent persecution is provided by Jewish epigraphy between the 6th and 8th centuries. The epigraphic Jewish practices before, during and after the “long 7th century” show a continuity of public displays of their Judaism in territories controlled by the Visigothic kings. Such a documented Jewish presence found during this period invites us to reflect on the historiographic dependency of documentary sources when studying Hispanian Judaism under the Visigothic Kingdom of Toledo. Resumo: O Terceiro Concílio de Toledo em 589 iniciou um longo século VII até a invasão islâmica em 711, coincidindo com o período católico do reino visigodo. Para as populações judaicas da Antiguidade Tardia Hispania, esse longo período de cerca de 122 anos é considerado um parêntese "proto-histórico", no qual as fontes internas dos próprios judeus estão quase inteiramente ausentes. Esse caráter “proto-histórico” do judaísmo do século VII foi aceito pela historiografia convencional por meio da leitura de fontes externas e muitas vezes hostis aos judeus, como fontes eclesiásticas e régias, descrevendo uma crescente perseguição que terminou parcial ou totalmente com os a vida judaica hispânica. No entanto, a epigrafia judaica dos séculos VI a VIII dá-nos uma visão diferente de seu destino durante sua suposta perseguição. As práticas epigráficas judaicas em territórios controlados pelos reis visigodos mostram uma clara continuidade antes, durante e depois do longo século VII. A continuidade da presença judaica ao longo deste período nos convida a refletir sobre a dependência historiográfica das fontes documentais para conhecer o Judaísmo Hispânico do reino visigodo de Toledo.

Al considerarla un derivado de la procedencia étnica, la historiografía tradicional no exploraba demasiado en el componente religioso de la dominación. En este artículo estudiamos lo más profundamente que las fuentes nos permiten la dimensión religiosa que propone este modo de ordenar la sociedad. Haremos este trabajo en dos niveles solidarios: el arrianismo como parámetro de jerarquía y el arrianismo como teología. Abstract: Unlike other minorities examined in this volume, the Arian one constituted a dominant minority in the Peninsula until the conversion of Reccared. While considering the Arian creed as an ethnic command, traditional historiography did not explore too much in the religious component of domination. As deeply as the sources allow us, in this article we study the religious dimension proposed by this way of ordering society. We will do this work on two converging levels: Arianism as a parameter of hierarchy and Arianism as theology. Resumo: Ao contrário de outras minorias trabalhadas neste volume, os arianos constituíam uma minoria dominante na Península até à conversão de Recaredo. Considerando-o um derivado de origem étnica, a historiografia tradicional não explorou muito o componente religioso da dominação. Neste artigo estudamos tão profundamente quanto as fontes nos permitem a dimensão religiosa proposta por esta forma de ordenar a sociedade.     Este trabajo forma parte del Plan Museológico llevado adelante por el Servicio Geológico Minero Argentino (SEGEMAR), con el fin de recuperar y poner en valor una importante colección de rocas, minerales, fósiles, cartografías, fotografías, equipos e instrumentos de exploración, constituida por el Estado argentino a partir de 1890, con la creación del Museo del Departamento Nacional de Minas y Geología. A partir de la revisión de fuentes documentales primarias, se logra describir el origen de este primer Museo, identificando su desenvolvimiento más importante entre 1890 y 1974. Período durante el cual, el área geológica y minera gubernamental logra mantener activo el Museo, con un crecimiento permanente de su colección, debido a la concurrencia de investigadores internacionales, pioneros en la investigación geológica nacional, y a su vez, formadores de los primeros geólogos y geólogas argentinas, estableciendo la primera cátedra de esta especialidad en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. This work is part of the Museum Planning carried out by the Argentine Mining Geological Survey, in order to recover and value an important collection of rocks, minerals, fossils, cartographies, photographs, survey tools and equipment, gathered by Argentine State organizations since 1890, beginning with the creation of the Museum of the National Mining and Geological Department. The review of primary documentary sources allowed us to characterize the origin of this first Museum, whose most important development period took place between 1890 and 1974. During this lapse, the Governmental area for Geology and Mining was able to keep the Museum active, with permanent increase of its collections due to the visits and contributions of international researchers, who pioneered geological research in Argentina and were in turn the trainers of the first local geologists, establishing the first chair to teach this specialty at the University of Buenos Aires. Este trabalho faz parte do Plano Museológico realizado pelo Serviço Geológico Mineiro Argentino (SEGEMAR), com o objetivo de recuperar e valorizar uma importante coleção de rochas, minerais, fósseis, cartografias, fotografias, equipamentos e instrumentos de exploração, constituída pelo Estado argentino a partir de 1890, com a criação do Museu do Departamento Nacional de Minas e Geologia. A partir da revisão de fontes documentais primárias é possível descrever a origem deste primeiro Museu, identificando o seu desenvolvimento mais importante entre 1890 e 1974. Neste período a área geológica e mineira governamental conseguiu manter o Museu ativo, com um crescimento permanente de sua coleção, graças à colaboração de pesquisadores internacionais, pioneiros na pesquisa geológica nacional e, por sua vez, formadores dos primeiros geólogos e geólogas argentinos, estabelecendo a primeira cátedra desta especialidade na Universidade de Buenos Aires.     Resumen: Este trabajo propone, en primer lugar, un análisis del prefacio del De comprobatione sextae aetatis, una obra elaborada por el obispo Julián de Toledo en torno al año 686, en el contexto de las relaciones entre judíos y cristianos en el reino visigodo de Toledo. Se indagará, principalmente, en su contenido, en los intereses que motivaron su producción y en los posibles auditorios imaginados por el toledano. En segundo lugar, presentamos la traducción al español tanto del prefacio como de la oración, los dos textos que acompañan al De comprobatione. Abstract: This study offers an analysis of the preface to the De comprobatione sextae aetatis, a work written by Bishop Julian of Toledo around 686, in the context of the Jewish-Christian relations in the Visigothic kingdom of Toledo. We will examine its content, the issues that motivated its production and the possible audiences imagined by the Toledan bishop. Furthermore, we offer a translation into Spanish of both the preface and the oration, the two texts accompanying the De comprobatione. Resumo: Este artigo começa com uma análise do prefácio de De comprobatione sextae aetatis, uma obra escrita pelo bispo Juliano de Toledo por volta de 686, no contexto das relações entre judeus e cristãos no reino visigótico de Toledo. Investigaremos principalmente seu conteúdo, os interesses que motivaram sua produção e os possíveis públicos imaginados pelo bispo de Toledo. Em segundo lugar, apresentaremos a tradução para o espanhol tanto do prefácio quanto da oração, os dois textos que acompanham o De comprobatione.

    Como plenarista del V Congreso de la AAHD presenté varias metodologías que aplico a cuestiones literarias de forma experimental. Utilizando de ejemplo un experimento sobre análisis de sentimientos, justifico la necesidad de dar cuenta de los entornos HD multilingües desde mi experiencia bilingüe en los Estados Unidos, dentro de las digital humanities en general y de los talleres en particular para proponer experimentos piloto con metodologías existentes como prototipos para puntos de entrada al análisis de texto en diferentes idiomas. Este artículo no afirma que el método aquí usado sea el mejor enfoque lingüístico o cultural para el análisis de sentimientos de los productos culturales hispanoamericanos. Sin embargo, defiende el potencial de explorar técnicas disponibles para crear espacios más inclusivos en escenarios de aprendizaje rápido y en los que, por norma general, los textos literarios utilizados pertenecen al canon anglosajón.     El pasado 13 de mayo se inauguró la “Exhibición fundamental de arte en los libros de poesía y ficción” curada por Belén Coluccio y Juan Cruz Pedroni en Local de Artes Recientes (LAR). Esta muestra, que pudo visitarse hasta el 10 de junio, propuso derroteros reflexivos sobre algunos hitos de la cultura impresa argentina del siglo XX que profesaron un estrecho vínculo entre la literatura y el arte desde distintas coordenadas. Así, en una apuesta curatorial perspicaz, en la que no estuvo ausente el contacto directo e íntimo, diversos proyectos editoriales salieron al encuentro de los visitantes durante casi un mes. On May 13 the “Exhibición fundamental de arte en los libros de poesía y ficción”, curated by Belén Coluccio and Juan Cruz Pedroni, was inaugurated at Local de Artes Recientes (LAR). This exhibition, which could be visited until June 10, proposed reflective paths on some milestones of Argentine print culture of the 20th century that professed a close link between literature and art from different coordinates.     La moderna historia artístico-institucional argentina tiene un recorrido que se origina en Buenos Aires en 1876 desde una iniciativa particular, con la fundación de la Sociedad Estímulo de Bellas Artes, y que, sólo en 1905, se vuelve nacional con el nacimiento de la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes. Las investigaciones que han ahondado en este proceso se han enfocado sobre todo en subrayar la continuidad casi biológica entre las dos instituciones; en cambio, este trabajo apunta a destacar el rol que tuvo la constitución de la Comisión Nacional de Bellas Artes (1897) para la configuración de una institución gubernamental de enseñanza artística. The origins of Argentina’s artistic-institutional history can be traced back to the foundation of a private institution, the Sociedad Estímulo de Bellas Artes, in Buenos Aires in 1876; while the National Academy of Fine Arts was not established until 1905. Previous research has mainly focused on the almost organic continuity between the two institutions. In contrast, this paper will emphasize the role played by the establishment of the Comisión Nacional de Bellas Artes (1897) in the formation of a governmental institution for artistic education, which was founded to regulate pensions for artistic studies abroad.     The present study explores the exclamative use of the feminine definite article la in structures such as ‘¡La de chicos que besé en la fiesta!’ (How many guys I kissed at the party!). First, a morphosyntactic description of the pattern is offered so as to show that the data under analysis are pseudopartitive constructions which display all the characteristics of primary and partial exclamatives. Building on research on nominal exclamatives, we conclude that these examples are not CPs but indefinite DPs with an exclamative flavor which contain a semi-relative clause introduced by que. Within the framework of Distributed Morphology, we schematize a set of syntactic structures which capture the ‘chimeric’ and hybrid nature of the data, these being halfway between DPs and exclamative clauses. In order to do so, it will be necessary to split the DP into smaller projections (FocP, FinP), since la must move to Spec-FocP to be interpreted as an exclamative operator.
