    El proyecto planteado es una reflexión sobre el oficio del escenógrafo para televisión. Intento fusionar el oficio que he ejercido con mis pensamientos, emociones y recuerdos de mi infancia y juventud en la costa atlántica, escarbando en mi memoria, en las imágenes recolectadas, en la memoria de mi madre; así como en las manifestaciones de la cultura de mi región de origen y la de Bogotá, donde me radiqué desde los 24 años, con todo esto exploro un lenguaje de colores y formas. Pero este proyecto es también un esfuerzo por trascender la memoria más allá de la mía propia y buscar conjugarla con la del entorno, sumándola, explorando a través de un símbolo que las junte en una representación que narre esta búsqueda. The proposed project is a reflection on the profession of the television set designer. to merge the job that I have exercised with my thoughts, emotions and memories of my childhood and youth on the Colombian Atlantic coast, digging in my memory, in the collected images, in the memory of my mother; as well as in the manifestations of the culture of my region of origin and that of Bogotá, where I settled since I was 24 years old, with all this I explore a language of colors and shapes. But this project is also an effort to transcend memory beyond my own and seek to combine it with that of the environment, adding it, exploring through a symbol that brings them together in a representation that narrates this search.     The Santa Bárbara`s Church in Bogotá is one of the oldest and most important churches in the city, being one of the vestiges of religious architecture in the colony, as well as being a witness to several of the most important historical events in the country. At present, this building, declared an asset of national cultural interest, is in the forgetfulness of Bogota and with several problems that threaten its conservation as a city heritage. That said, this work seeks to assess and evaluate the building that exists today, taking into account its history, in order to propose certain guidelines that fight for the conservation of the property, in addition to the recovery of the comprehensive reading of its intrinsic values, this being a contribution to the study of colonial buildings in the country as well as contributing to the historical memory of the city. La iglesia de Santa Bárbara en Bogotá es una de las iglesias más antiguas y más importante de la ciudad siendo uno de los vestigios de la arquitectura religiosa en la colonia, además de ser testigo de varios de los hechos históricos más importantes en el país. En la actualidad, este edificio declarado bien de interés cultural de carácter nacional, se encuentra en el olvido de la memoria bogotana y con varias problemáticas que amenazan su conservación como patrimonio de la ciudad. Dicho esto, el presente trabajo busca valorar y evaluar la edificación que existe en la actualidad, teniendo en cuenta su historia, para poder proponer ciertos lineamientos que pugnen por la conservación del bien, además de la recuperación de la lectura integral de sus valores intrínsecos, siendo este un aporte para el estudio de los edificios coloniales en el país además de contribuir a la memoria histórica de la ciudad.     This work aims to show, based on fieldwork carried out between 2016 and 2019 and the review of press sources, the contradictions of the visions about peace in Montes de María in the context of the peace negotiation between the FARC and the Colombian government. The departments of Bolívar and Sucre have promoted tourism initiatives in the region that establish the monumentalization of memory as a strategy for the region's economic reactivation. However, it has neglected the demands of the population regarding access to land and resources. Based on three of the elements encompassed by the government strategy (the route of peace, monuments, and festivals), the text aims to reveal the tensions and daily violence that persist in the population. The text consists of three chapters. Each of them presents an ethnographic vignette that serves as a narrative nucleus around which practices and discourses on peace, memory, local politics, and reparation are questioned. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar, a partir del trabajo de campo adelantado entre 2016 y 2019 y la revisión de fuentes de prensa, las contradicciones de las visiones encontradas sobre la paz en los Montes de María, en el contexto de la negociación los acuerdos entre las FARC y el gobierno colombiano. Los departamentos de Bolívar y Sucre han promovido iniciativas de turismo en la región que establecen la monumentalización de la memoria como una estrategia de reactivación económica de la región, sin embargo, ha desatendido las demandas de la población sobre el acceso a tierra y recursos. A partir de tres de los elementos que son englobados por la estrategia gubernamental (la ruta de la paz, los monumentos y los festivales), el texto pretende revelar las tensiones y las violencias cotidianas que perviven en la población. El texto consta de tres capítulos. Cada uno de ellos presenta una viñeta etnográfica que sirve como núcleo narrativo alrededor del cual se cuestionan las prácticas y discursos sobre la paz, la memoria, la política local y la reparación.     "Los Once" is a graphic novel published in 2014, created by José Luis Jiménez, Miguel Jiménez, and Andrés Cruz. It develops its plot from the Palace of Justice siege that took place in Bogotá, Colombia in 1985. Throughout this research, the idea that this graphic novel problematizes the established historical discourses and the construction of memory regarding this event is developed, based on image handling. In the first chapter, an approach to the idea of graphic sequentiality is made, and the particularities of the graphic novel are recognized at a global and local level. Similarly, a structural review of the graphic novel "Los Once" is formulated. In the second chapter, a study of the image is proposed based on some visual research methodologies in which press photographs of the Palace of Justice siege are discussed, with some vignettes from the graphic novel "Los Once", recognizing the difference between discourses that occurs in both sources. In the third chapter, a study of both, Memory and the graphic novel "Los Once" is developed based on their relationships with history, conflict, and art. Keywords: Graphic novel, Image, Photography, Palace of Justice, Memory, History, Art. Los Once es una novela gráfica creada por José Luis Jiménez, Miguel Jiménez y Andrés Cruz, publicada en el año 2014. Desarrolla su trama a partir de la toma del Palacio de Justicia que tuvo lugar en Bogotá, Colombia en el año de 1985. A lo largo de la presente investigación se desarrolla la idea de que esta novela gráfica problematiza los discursos históricos establecidos y la construcción de memoria con respecto a este evento, a partir del tratamiento de la imagen. En el primer capítulo se realiza un acercamiento a la idea de secuencialidad gráfica, y se reconocen las particularidades de la novela gráfica a nivel global y local. De igual modo, se formula una revisión estructural de la novela gráfica Los Once. En el segundo capítulo se plantea un estudio de la imagen a partir de algunas metodologías de investigación visual en las que se ponen en diálogo imágenes de prensa de la toma del Palacio de Justicia, con algunas viñetas de la novela gráfica Los Once, reconociendo la diferencia discursiva que se da en ambos soportes. En el tercer capítulo se desarrolla un estudio de la Memoria y la novela gráfica Los Once a partir de sus relaciones con la historia, el conflicto y el arte.     Authors: Pedraza Quiñones, Sergio Daniel;

    El documento presenta un índice de incertidumbre de política económica (o índice EPU) para Colombia construido mediante técnicas de Procesamiento de Lenguaje Natural (NLP). La hipótesis es que existe una relación significativa entre el índice EPU y variables como el crecimiento y la inflación y que choques de incertidumbre de política económica tienen un efecto adverso en el desempeño económico del país. Así mismo, se presume que un índice construido con técnicas de NLP recoge de mejor forma la información sobre incertidumbre que un índice construido simplemente con la búsqueda de palabras clave. El uso de herramientas de NLP, así como de modelos de aprendizaje supervisado y no supervisado constituye, tan lejos como sé, la primera aplicación de este tipo de modelos para Colombia en relación con la medición de incertidumbre de política económica. Se obtiene que el índice EPU, construido con un modelo de aprendizaje supervisado, exhibe la mejor capacidad explicativa con respecto a diversos indicadores macroeconómicos. Esta investigación se desarrolla con base en los artículos del archivo del periódico El Tiempo, el único en Colombia que cuenta con una hemeroteca digital desde el año 2000 hasta 2018, periodo comprendido por el estudio. This document introduces an economic policy uncertainty index (or EPU index) for Colombia built on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. The hypothesis is that there exists a significant relationship between the EPU index and indicators like economic growth and inflation, and that economic policy uncertainty shocks have a prejudicial effect over the country’s economic performance. Likewise, it is supposed that an index built on NLP techniques captures more appropriately information about uncertainty than an index built just through search for keywords. The use of NLP tools, as well as of supervised and unsupervised learning models constitutes, as far as I know, the first application of this kind of models for Colombia, within the scope of the measuring economic policy uncertainty. It is obtained that EPU index, when built with a supervised learning model, exhibits the best explaining capability with respect to diverse macroeconomic indicators. This research is done by the means of extracting articles from El Tiempo newspaper, the only one in Colombia that holds a digital newspaper library from 2000 until 2018, which is the period covered by the study.     Authors: Zafra Rodríguez, Kevin;

    When contemporary authors reconstruct the discussion on the status of history, they tend to think that this topic has only developed since the second half of the 18th century. This temporal limitation leads them to believe any satisfactory answer that is intended to be given to the discussion must be framed between the exclusive disjunction created by those whom believe history is a science and those who believe it is an art (the two dominant positions in recent years). In the present paper I show we can find previous developments in the discussion that could express divergent positions before those currently held. To do so, I confront the isolationist thesis expressed by Aristotle in Poetic's Chapter 9 ―for whom history is neither a science nor an art― with the inclusivist thesis expressed by Giambattista Vico in The New Science ―for whom history is a science necessarily involving poetic knowledge. Cuando los autores contemporáneos reconstruyen la discusión sobre el estatus de la historia tienden a pensar que este tema se ha desarrollado sólo a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Esta limitación temporal los lleva a creer que cualquier respuesta satisfactoria que se pretenda dar a la discusión debe estar enmarcada entre la disyunción exclusiva creada por quienes creen que la historia es una ciencia y quienes creen que es un arte, las dos posturas dominantes en los últimos siglos. En el presenta trabajo muestro que podemos encontrar desarrollos anteriores de la discusión que expresan posiciones divergentes a las actualmente sostenidas. Para hacerlo confronto la tesis aislacionista expresada por Aristóteles en el capítulo 9 de la Poética ―para quien la historia no es ni una ciencia ni un arte― con la tesis inclusiva expresada por Giambattista Vico en la Ciencia Nueva ―para quien la historia es una ciencia que involucra necesariamente un conocimiento de tipo poético.     Authors: Ruiz Porras, Diego Alejandro;

    In this paper, some unmingling methods were evaluated within two contexts of commingled skeletal human remains with opposite levels of preservation. Also, the zonation and landmarks inventory methods were used in order to calculate the MNI along with other proposed equations. Afterwards, different indices, including a new one proposed in here, were applied in order to express the level of conservation of both archaeological contexts. After reviwing the extant research on commingled remains, the variety of methods used to unmingle them and the archaeological background of the two contexts worked in here, the results of the Ossuary of San Ignacio Temple and the Conjunto 07 of Bloque A10 of the Cementerio Central bone colection of Bogotá, Colombia, are introduced. These two particular contexts went from presenting a MNI of 34 and 106 to 37 and 110 respectively. At the end of the text, an evaluation of the used methods is made along with their advantages and limitations, and, as the final appendix, a proposal for a methodological guide to the unmingling of commingled remains is provided. En este trabajo se evaluaron métodos de reasociación en dos contextos de restos óseos humanos mezclados con niveles de preservación opuestos. Además, se utilizaron los sistemas de inventario de zonificación y de puntos de referencia para calcular el NMI junto con otras ecuaciones propuestas. Posteriormente, se aplicaron distintos índices y se propuso uno nuevo para expresar el nivel de conservación de los dos contextos arqueológicos. Tras una revisión de las investigaciones existentes en restos mezclados, de la gran variedad de métodos para reasociarlos y de los antecedentes arqueológicos de los dos contextos revisados, se presentan los resultados del Osario del Templo de San Ignacio y del Conjunto 07 del Bloque A10 de la colección del Cementerio Central de Bogotá, Colombia. Estos dos contextos pasaron de tener un NMI de 34 y 106 a uno de 37 y 110 respectivamente. Al final del texto se realiza una evaluación de los métodos utilizados, sus ventajas, sus limites y, como anexo final, se aporta una propuesta de guía metodológica para la reasociación de restos mezclados.     ottery, that materiality of an unique nature that results after passing the clay through fire, has accompanied humanity for thousands of years and it has been made artistic, ritual, utilitarian, decorative or functional pieces. Thanks to this multiplicity of possibilities, pottery is a topic of interest in the study of disciplines such as archeology, anthropology and art, which have appropriated it to their interests and discourses; this inhabits, transits and is the meeting place and encounter of various disciplinary fields. Because of all this, the present research reviews several discussions that have passed through the reflection of pottery and its history in Colombia. To structure and delimit the development of this thesis, I will specifically focus on the exhibition El Barro tiene voz. De las cerámicas prehispánias al arte actual: a permanent exhibition of the Antioquia Museum that has been open to the public since 2013. The curatorial and museological proposal of this exhibition allows us to delve into the tensions that have marked the study of the ceramic object, as it stages issues associated with the nature of pottery (nature of its process) and pottery throughout different temporalities, as well as the different disciplinary classifications it has had. La cerámica, esa materialidad de naturaleza única que resulta después de pasar la arcilla por fuego, ha acompañado a la humanidad desde hace miles de años y en ella han sido realizadas piezas artísticas, rituales, utilitarias, decorativas o funcionales. Gracias a esta multiplicidad de posibilidades, la cerámica es tema de interés de estudio de disciplinas como la arqueología, la antropología y el arte, las cuales la han apropiado a sus intereses y discursos; esta habita, transita y es el lugar de encuentro y desencuentro de diversos campos disciplinares. A partir de lo anterior, la presente investigación es una revisión de algunas las discusiones más relevantes que han atravesado la reflexión de la cerámica y su historia en Colombia. Para estructurar y delimitar el desarrollo de esta tesis, específicamente me centraré en la exposición El barro tiene voz. De las cerámicas prehispánicas al arte actual, exhibición permanente del Museo de Antioquia y que ha estado abierta al público desde el año 2013. La propuesta curatorial y museográfica de esta exposición permite ahondar en las tensiones que han marcado el estudio del objeto cerámico, pues escenifica temas asociados a la naturaleza alfarera y la cerámica a lo largo de distintas temporalidades, así como también, las distintas clasificaciones disciplinares que ha tenido.     Authors: Pachón Lozano, Andrés;

    This document, “Musealizar la rumba: salsa y memoria en Bogotá”, corresponds to the final work for master’s degree in Museología y Gestión del Patrimonio (museology and heritage management), at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. It was made up of three parts. First two sections of this document describes memories of my stay and academic practice, both in the National Museum of Cuban Music spanning two different periods of time from 2019. Third one which gives tittle to the document, is a theoretical reflection on the musealization concept related to community cultural practices. In the report of academic stay, I presented a testimony of the experience lived during a month at Museo Nacional de la Música. I dedicated time to understand in depth important areas such as museology, restoration and conservation. The report offers an overview of the Museum organization and operation, which aims to be a first step to create a museological plan. The practice was an experience derived from findings during my first visit to the Museum. At that time, I identified a weakness in communications process, which is why we (with my institutional advisor) decided to undertake the design of a social networks communications strategy. To do this, a theoretical argument was developed about the communication strategy based on Cuban comprehension of cultural heritage. That document provides the conceptual basis for implementation of digital communications strategy. In the theoretical reflection, I establish a link between the salsa phenomenon in Bogotá, and processes of musealization and heritage management in the city. To do this, I presented an overview of salsa music in Bogotá, trying to identify some aspects that may be consider heritage of the city. Then I reviewed some issues about intangible cultural heritage in light of institutional guidelines, to finish with some thoughts on possible musealization of salsa in Bogotá. Este documento, “Musealizar la rumba: salsa y memoria en Bogotá", corresponde al trabajo final de la Maestría en Museología y Gestión del Patrimonio de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, y está conformado por tres partes. Las dos primeras corresponden a las memorias de una estancia y una práctica académicas, las dos realizadas en el Museo Nacional de la Música de Cuba, en dos periodos diferentes de 2019. La tercera, que da título al documento, es una reflexión teórica sobre el concepto de musealización en relación a las prácticas culturales de una comunidad. En la memoria de la estancia académica, presento un testimonio de la experiencia vivida durante un mes en el Museo Nacional de la Música. Dediqué ese tiempo a conocer en profundidad importantes áreas como aquellas de museografía, restauración y conservación. La memoria ofrece un panorama general sobre la organización y el funcionamiento del Museo, que pretende ser un primer paso en la construcción de un plan museológico para esa institución. La práctica fue una experiencia derivada de los hallazgos de aquella primera visita al Museo. En aquel entonces identifiqué una debilidad en las comunicaciones del Museo, razón por la cual decidimos emprender, junto con mi asesor institucional, el diseño de una estrategia de comunicaciones en redes sociales. Para ello, hice una argumentación teórica sobre la estrategia de comunicación de un museo basada en la comprensión cubana sobre patrimonio cultural. Este documento aporta las bases conceptuales para la implementación de la estrategia de comunicaciones digitales del Museo. En la reflexión teórica establezco un vínculo entre el fenómeno de la salsa en Bogotá y los procesos de musealización y gestión del patrimonio en la ciudad. Para ello muestro un panorama general de la música salsa en Bogotá, tratando de identificar algunos aspectos que pueden ser considerados patrimonio de la ciudad. Luego reviso algunas cuestiones sobre patrimonio cultural inmaterial a la luz de los lineamientos institucionales, para finalizar con algunas reflexiones acerca de la posible musealización de la salsa en Bogotá.     El proyecto planteado es una reflexión sobre el oficio del escenógrafo para televisión. Intento fusionar el oficio que he ejercido con mis pensamientos, emociones y recuerdos de mi infancia y juventud en la costa atlántica, escarbando en mi memoria, en las imágenes recolectadas, en la memoria de mi madre; así como en las manifestaciones de la cultura de mi región de origen y la de Bogotá, donde me radiqué desde los 24 años, con todo esto exploro un lenguaje de colores y formas. Pero este proyecto es también un esfuerzo por trascender la memoria más allá de la mía propia y buscar conjugarla con la del entorno, sumándola, explorando a través de un símbolo que las junte en una representación que narre esta búsqueda. The proposed project is a reflection on the profession of the television set designer. to merge the job that I have exercised with my thoughts, emotions and memories of my childhood and youth on the Colombian Atlantic coast, digging in my memory, in the collected images, in the memory of my mother; as well as in the manifestations of the culture of my region of origin and that of Bogotá, where I settled since I was 24 years old, with all this I explore a language of colors and shapes. But this project is also an effort to transcend memory beyond my own and seek to combine it with that of the environment, adding it, exploring through a symbol that brings them together in a representation that narrates this search.     The Santa Bárbara`s Church in Bogotá is one of the oldest and most important churches in the city, being one of the vestiges of religious architecture in the colony, as well as being a witness to several of the most important historical events in the country. At present, this building, declared an asset of national cultural interest, is in the forgetfulness of Bogota and with several problems that threaten its conservation as a city heritage. That said, this work seeks to assess and evaluate the building that exists today, taking into account its history, in order to propose certain guidelines that fight for the conservation of the property, in addition to the recovery of the comprehensive reading of its intrinsic values, this being a contribution to the study of colonial buildings in the country as well as contributing to the historical memory of the city. La iglesia de Santa Bárbara en Bogotá es una de las iglesias más antiguas y más importante de la ciudad siendo uno de los vestigios de la arquitectura religiosa en la colonia, además de ser testigo de varios de los hechos históricos más importantes en el país. En la actualidad, este edificio declarado bien de interés cultural de carácter nacional, se encuentra en el olvido de la memoria bogotana y con varias problemáticas que amenazan su conservación como patrimonio de la ciudad. Dicho esto, el presente trabajo busca valorar y evaluar la edificación que existe en la actualidad, teniendo en cuenta su historia, para poder proponer ciertos lineamientos que pugnen por la conservación del bien, además de la recuperación de la lectura integral de sus valores intrínsecos, siendo este un aporte para el estudio de los edificios coloniales en el país además de contribuir a la memoria histórica de la ciudad.     This work aims to show, based on fieldwork carried out between 2016 and 2019 and the review of press sources, the contradictions of the visions about peace in Montes de María in the context of the peace negotiation between the FARC and the Colombian government. The departments of Bolívar and Sucre have promoted tourism initiatives in the region that establish the monumentalization of memory as a strategy for the region's economic reactivation. However, it has neglected the demands of the population regarding access to land and resources. Based on three of the elements encompassed by the government strategy (the route of peace, monuments, and festivals), the text aims to reveal the tensions and daily violence that persist in the population. The text consists of three chapters. Each of them presents an ethnographic vignette that serves as a narrative nucleus around which practices and discourses on peace, memory, local politics, and reparation are questioned. El objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar, a partir del trabajo de campo adelantado entre 2016 y 2019 y la revisión de fuentes de prensa, las contradicciones de las visiones encontradas sobre la paz en los Montes de María, en el contexto de la negociación los acuerdos entre las FARC y el gobierno colombiano. Los departamentos de Bolívar y Sucre han promovido iniciativas de turismo en la región que establecen la monumentalización de la memoria como una estrategia de reactivación económica de la región, sin embargo, ha desatendido las demandas de la población sobre el acceso a tierra y recursos. A partir de tres de los elementos que son englobados por la estrategia gubernamental (la ruta de la paz, los monumentos y los festivales), el texto pretende revelar las tensiones y las violencias cotidianas que perviven en la población. El texto consta de tres capítulos. Cada uno de ellos presenta una viñeta etnográfica que sirve como núcleo narrativo alrededor del cual se cuestionan las prácticas y discursos sobre la paz, la memoria, la política local y la reparación.     "Los Once" is a graphic novel published in 2014, created by José Luis Jiménez, Miguel Jiménez, and Andrés Cruz. It develops its plot from the Palace of Justice siege that took place in Bogotá, Colombia in 1985. Throughout this research, the idea that this graphic novel problematizes the established historical discourses and the construction of memory regarding this event is developed, based on image handling. In the first chapter, an approach to the idea of graphic sequentiality is made, and the particularities of the graphic novel are recognized at a global and local level. Similarly, a structural review of the graphic novel "Los Once" is formulated. In the second chapter, a study of the image is proposed based on some visual research methodologies in which press photographs of the Palace of Justice siege are discussed, with some vignettes from the graphic novel "Los Once", recognizing the difference between discourses that occurs in both sources. In the third chapter, a study of both, Memory and the graphic novel "Los Once" is developed based on their relationships with history, conflict, and art. Keywords: Graphic novel, Image, Photography, Palace of Justice, Memory, History, Art. Los Once es una novela gráfica creada por José Luis Jiménez, Miguel Jiménez y Andrés Cruz, publicada en el año 2014. Desarrolla su trama a partir de la toma del Palacio de Justicia que tuvo lugar en Bogotá, Colombia en el año de 1985. A lo largo de la presente investigación se desarrolla la idea de que esta novela gráfica problematiza los discursos históricos establecidos y la construcción de memoria con respecto a este evento, a partir del tratamiento de la imagen. En el primer capítulo se realiza un acercamiento a la idea de secuencialidad gráfica, y se reconocen las particularidades de la novela gráfica a nivel global y local. De igual modo, se formula una revisión estructural de la novela gráfica Los Once. En el segundo capítulo se plantea un estudio de la imagen a partir de algunas metodologías de investigación visual en las que se ponen en diálogo imágenes de prensa de la toma del Palacio de Justicia, con algunas viñetas de la novela gráfica Los Once, reconociendo la diferencia discursiva que se da en ambos soportes. En el tercer capítulo se desarrolla un estudio de la Memoria y la novela gráfica Los Once a partir de sus relaciones con la historia, el conflicto y el arte. La hipótesis es que existe una relación significativa entre el índice EPU y variables como el crecimiento y la inflación y que choques de incertidumbre de política económica tienen un efecto adverso en el desempeño económico del país. Así mismo, se presume que un índice construido con técnicas de NLP recoge de mejor forma la información sobre incertidumbre que un índice construido simplemente con la búsqueda de palabras clave. El uso de herramientas de NLP, así como de modelos de aprendizaje supervisado y no supervisado constituye, tan lejos como sé, la primera aplicación de este tipo de modelos para Colombia en relación con la medición de incertidumbre de política económica. Se obtiene que el índice EPU, construido con un modelo de aprendizaje supervisado, exhibe la mejor capacidad explicativa con respecto a diversos indicadores macroeconómicos. Esta investigación se desarrolla con base en los artículos del archivo del periódico El Tiempo, el único en Colombia que cuenta con una hemeroteca digital desde el año 2000 hasta 2018, periodo comprendido por el estudio. This document introduces an economic policy uncertainty index (or EPU index) for Colombia built on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. The hypothesis is that there exists a significant relationship between the EPU index and indicators like economic growth and inflation, and that economic policy uncertainty shocks have a prejudicial effect over the country’s economic performance. Likewise, it is supposed that an index built on NLP techniques captures more appropriately information about uncertainty than an index built just through search for keywords. The use of NLP tools, as well as of supervised and unsupervised learning models constitutes, as far as I know, the first application of this kind of models for Colombia, within the scope of the measuring economic policy uncertainty. It is obtained that EPU index, when built with a supervised learning model, exhibits the best explaining capability with respect to diverse macroeconomic indicators. This research is done by the means of extracting articles from El Tiempo newspaper, the only one in Colombia that holds a digital newspaper library from 2000 until 2018, which is the period covered by the study.     Authors: Zafra Rodríguez, Kevin;

    When contemporary authors reconstruct the discussion on the status of history, they tend to think that this topic has only developed since the second half of the 18th century. This temporal limitation leads them to believe any satisfactory answer that is intended to be given to the discussion must be framed between the exclusive disjunction created by those whom believe history is a science and those who believe it is an art (the two dominant positions in recent years). In the present paper I show we can find previous developments in the discussion that could express divergent positions before those currently held. To do so, I confront the isolationist thesis expressed by Aristotle in Poetic's Chapter 9 ―for whom history is neither a science nor an art― with the inclusivist thesis expressed by Giambattista Vico in The New Science ―for whom history is a science necessarily involving poetic knowledge. Cuando los autores contemporáneos reconstruyen la discusión sobre el estatus de la historia tienden a pensar que este tema se ha desarrollado sólo a partir de la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Esta limitación temporal los lleva a creer que cualquier respuesta satisfactoria que se pretenda dar a la discusión debe estar enmarcada entre la disyunción exclusiva creada por quienes creen que la historia es una ciencia y quienes creen que es un arte, las dos posturas dominantes en los últimos siglos. En el presenta trabajo muestro que podemos encontrar desarrollos anteriores de la discusión que expresan posiciones divergentes a las actualmente sostenidas. Para hacerlo confronto la tesis aislacionista expresada por Aristóteles en el capítulo 9 de la Poética ―para quien la historia no es ni una ciencia ni un arte― con la tesis inclusiva expresada por Giambattista Vico en la Ciencia Nueva ―para quien la historia es una ciencia que involucra necesariamente un conocimiento de tipo poético.     Authors: Ruiz Porras, Diego Alejandro;

    In this paper, some unmingling methods were evaluated within two contexts of commingled skeletal human remains with opposite levels of preservation. Also, the zonation and landmarks inventory methods were used in order to calculate the MNI along with other proposed equations. Afterwards, different indices, including a new one proposed in here, were applied in order to express the level of conservation of both archaeological contexts. After reviwing the extant research on commingled remains, the variety of methods used to unmingle them and the archaeological background of the two contexts worked in here, the results of the Ossuary of San Ignacio Temple and the Conjunto 07 of Bloque A10 of the Cementerio Central bone colection of Bogotá, Colombia, are introduced. These two particular contexts went from presenting a MNI of 34 and 106 to 37 and 110 respectively. At the end of the text, an evaluation of the used methods is made along with their advantages and limitations, and, as the final appendix, a proposal for a methodological guide to the unmingling of commingled remains is provided. En este trabajo se evaluaron métodos de reasociación en dos contextos de restos óseos humanos mezclados con niveles de preservación opuestos. Además, se utilizaron los sistemas de inventario de zonificación y de puntos de referencia para calcular el NMI junto con otras ecuaciones propuestas. Posteriormente, se aplicaron distintos índices y se propuso uno nuevo para expresar el nivel de conservación de los dos contextos arqueológicos. Tras una revisión de las investigaciones existentes en restos mezclados, de la gran variedad de métodos para reasociarlos y de los antecedentes arqueológicos de los dos contextos revisados, se presentan los resultados del Osario del Templo de San Ignacio y del Conjunto 07 del Bloque A10 de la colección del Cementerio Central de Bogotá, Colombia. Estos dos contextos pasaron de tener un NMI de 34 y 106 a uno de 37 y 110 respectivamente. Al final del texto se realiza una evaluación de los métodos utilizados, sus ventajas, sus limites y, como anexo final, se aporta una propuesta de guía metodológica para la reasociación de restos mezclados.     Authors: Pérez Herrera, María Sué;

    ottery, that materiality of an unique nature that results after passing the clay through fire, has accompanied humanity for thousands of years and it has been made artistic, ritual, utilitarian, decorative or functional pieces. Thanks to this multiplicity of possibilities, pottery is a topic of interest in the study of disciplines such as archeology, anthropology and art, which have appropriated it to their interests and discourses; this inhabits, transits and is the meeting place and encounter of various disciplinary fields. Because of all this, the present research reviews several discussions that have passed through the reflection of pottery and its history in Colombia. To structure and delimit the development of this thesis, I will specifically focus on the exhibition El Barro tiene voz. De las cerámicas prehispánias al arte actual: a permanent exhibition of the Antioquia Museum that has been open to the public since 2013. The curatorial and museological proposal of this exhibition allows us to delve into the tensions that have marked the study of the ceramic object, as it stages issues associated with the nature of pottery (nature of its process) and pottery throughout different temporalities, as well as the different disciplinary classifications it has had. La cerámica, esa materialidad de naturaleza única que resulta después de pasar la arcilla por fuego, ha acompañado a la humanidad desde hace miles de años y en ella han sido realizadas piezas artísticas, rituales, utilitarias, decorativas o funcionales. Gracias a esta multiplicidad de posibilidades, la cerámica es tema de interés de estudio de disciplinas como la arqueología, la antropología y el arte, las cuales la han apropiado a sus intereses y discursos; esta habita, transita y es el lugar de encuentro y desencuentro de diversos campos disciplinares. A partir de lo anterior, la presente investigación es una revisión de algunas las discusiones más relevantes que han atravesado la reflexión de la cerámica y su historia en Colombia. Para estructurar y delimitar el desarrollo de esta tesis, específicamente me centraré en la exposición El barro tiene voz. De las cerámicas prehispánicas al arte actual, exhibición permanente del Museo de Antioquia y que ha estado abierta al público desde el año 2013. La propuesta curatorial y museográfica de esta exposición permite ahondar en las tensiones que han marcado el estudio del objeto cerámico, pues escenifica temas asociados a la naturaleza alfarera y la cerámica a lo largo de distintas temporalidades, así como también, las distintas clasificaciones disciplinares que ha tenido.     Authors: Pachón Lozano, Andrés;

    This document, “Musealizar la rumba: salsa y memoria en Bogotá”, corresponds to the final work for master’s degree in Museología y Gestión del Patrimonio (museology and heritage management), at Universidad Nacional de Colombia. It was made up of three parts. First two sections of this document describes memories of my stay and academic practice, both in the National Museum of Cuban Music spanning two different periods of time from 2019. Third one which gives tittle to the document, is a theoretical reflection on the musealization concept related to community cultural practices. In the report of academic stay, I presented a testimony of the experience lived during a month at Museo Nacional de la Música. I dedicated time to understand in depth important areas such as museology, restoration and conservation. The report offers an overview of the Museum organization and operation, which aims to be a first step to create a museological plan. The practice was an experience derived from findings during my first visit to the Museum. At that time, I identified a weakness in communications process, which is why we (with my institutional advisor) decided to undertake the design of a social networks communications strategy. To do this, a theoretical argument was developed about the communication strategy based on Cuban comprehension of cultural heritage. That document provides the conceptual basis for implementation of digital communications strategy. In the theoretical reflection, I establish a link between the salsa phenomenon in Bogotá, and processes of musealization and heritage management in the city. To do this, I presented an overview of salsa music in Bogotá, trying to identify some aspects that may be consider heritage of the city. Then I reviewed some issues about intangible cultural heritage in light of institutional guidelines, to finish with some thoughts on possible musealization of salsa in Bogotá. Este documento, “Musealizar la rumba: salsa y memoria en Bogotá", corresponde al trabajo final de la Maestría en Museología y Gestión del Patrimonio de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, y está conformado por tres partes. Las dos primeras corresponden a las memorias de una estancia y una práctica académicas, las dos realizadas en el Museo Nacional de la Música de Cuba, en dos periodos diferentes de 2019. La tercera, que da título al documento, es una reflexión teórica sobre el concepto de musealización en relación a las prácticas culturales de una comunidad. En la memoria de la estancia académica, presento un testimonio de la experiencia vivida durante un mes en el Museo Nacional de la Música. Dediqué ese tiempo a conocer en profundidad importantes áreas como aquellas de museografía, restauración y conservación. La memoria ofrece un panorama general sobre la organización y el funcionamiento del Museo, que pretende ser un primer paso en la construcción de un plan museológico para esa institución. La práctica fue una experiencia derivada de los hallazgos de aquella primera visita al Museo. En aquel entonces identifiqué una debilidad en las comunicaciones del Museo, razón por la cual decidimos emprender, junto con mi asesor institucional, el diseño de una estrategia de comunicaciones en redes sociales. Para ello, hice una argumentación teórica sobre la estrategia de comunicación de un museo basada en la comprensión cubana sobre patrimonio cultural. Este documento aporta las bases conceptuales para la implementación de la estrategia de comunicaciones digitales del Museo. En la reflexión teórica establezco un vínculo entre el fenómeno de la salsa en Bogotá y los procesos de musealización y gestión del patrimonio en la ciudad. Para ello muestro un panorama general de la música salsa en Bogotá, tratando de identificar algunos aspectos que pueden ser considerados patrimonio de la ciudad. Luego reviso algunas cuestiones sobre patrimonio cultural inmaterial a la luz de los lineamientos institucionales, para finalizar con algunas reflexiones acerca de la posible musealización de la salsa en Bogotá.
