Chapter describes various forms of degradation and damage of surface layers on monuments - paints, plaster layers and multilayer systems, and presented their terminology and definitions. It shortly explains causes of damage and defects.

Práce je zaměřena na mezipředmětové vztahy mezi matematikou a geografií a slouží k výuce nadanějších žáků na gymnáziích. Hlavním cílem je prohloubit znalosti v oblasti geografie a ukázat žákům možnosti využití geometrie v praktickém životě. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř procházek, z nichž každá obsahuje část teoretickou a praktickou a součástí každé procházky je i pracovní list. V každé procházce žáci využívají GPS a Google Earth k zdokumentování prošlé trasy. The work is focused on the inter-relationships between mathematics and geography and used to teach more talented pupils in secondary schools. The main aim is to deepen knowledge of geography and show pupils possibilities of geometry in everyday life. The work is divided into four separate walks of which contains theoretical and practical parts with each also containing a worksheet.
