    Summary After the rediscovery of S. Frutuoso's Chapel (this chapel dating backto the second half of the seventh century) in 1987, the process of itsrestoration began in 1931 and was interrupted in 1938. Due to theinterruption of work on the chapel, it was gradually abandoned and rapidlydeteriorated. The disorganized urban growth of the city of Bragabecame an additional threat to the monument's scenic surroundings. In1987–88 began a process of revitalization on the monument. Of specialinterest are problems involving the conservation of the building andthe protection of its surroundings.

    This article responds to the interdisciplinary developments that choreography has undergone in the twenty-first century, in terms of a focus on relationships between dance, architecture, site and cultural heritage. It makes a claim for how choreography within the city manifests itself in the form of a public bodily act, as artistic boundary-crosser and socio-political agent. We explore this through the lens of a central case study: artist Anton Mirto’s Scaffolding (2019), a workshop-performance event for seven dancers sited within The Chapel of Many, an architectural installation by architect Sebastian Hicks and set inside the ruins of Coventry Cathedral (UK) as part of the Coventry Welcomes Festival’s Refugee Week. Grounded in an exploration of dance and architecture in terms of spatiotemporal relations following Rachel Sara’s (2015) framework of a transontology of architecture and dance and Rachel Hann’s (2019) concept of fast architecture, we argue for how the choreographic process of making Scaffolding speaks back to both the architectural space and the urban heritage site in which it is located and addresses a certain experience of temporality, history and memory. In turn, the potential political agency of such a performed conversation between architecture and choreography in the twenty-first century city is revealed.

    Innovative digital applications are invaluable for the documentation and conservation of cultural heritage monuments. Digital techniques can provide data on cultural heritage sites to enhance understanding of their changes over time. Due to the age and conditions of cultural heritage monuments in Cyprus, especially churches, there is a great demand to develop a methodology that is capable of digitizing both the internal and external church using a variety of non-invasive techniques as a means of storing and managing documentation data and metadata for providing comprehensive culturally digital and documentation evidence. In this paper, the integration of various technologies was used to document the 12th century St. Efstathios Chapel in Kolossi, Cyprus. The methodologies included data acquired by close-range images from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and hand-held cameras, coordinates from ground control points using Total Stations etc., to document both the internal and external facades and relics of selected religious monuments. Thousands of images from the monument were taken using a UAV with a high-resolution camera. The images were processed using photogrammetry to provide a digital model of the church. The use of the HSV color model was used to examine potential anomalies in the structure. The combination of the technologies will provide a 3D model to document and identify ecclesiastical cultural heritage sites, which can be incorporated into a dynamic database and valuable resource to better understand the cultural heritage monument. In this way, the end-users will be able to access the information from the digital platform at any time. This research is supported by the project entitled: “Navigators of Cultural Heritage Digitization of Churches of Cyprus and Crete” referred as “Digital unblocking of holy islands” and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)and by national funds of Greece and Cyprus, under the Cooperation Programme “INTERREG V-A Greece-Cyprus 2014-2020”.

    The Real Chiesa di San Lorenzo is a church designed and built by Guarino Guarini. This church, adjacent to the Royal Palace in Piazza Castello, is one of the most beautiful churches in Torino. It possesses a remarkable cupola, made by a series of nested octagons. The lower part of the church has no windows. The natural light is coming from large windows above the base of the dome and other smaller openings in it. Besides the high altar, we find in the church two lateral altars and four radial chapels. In the chapels, Guarino Guarini has hidden some paintings inside their double vaults. These paintings are visible only when the sunlight is passing through a specific oculus in the front of the chapel. This happens when the sun has the right azimuth and altitude. Actually, the architect had used his knowledge of astronomy and geometrical optics to create this effect. Here we discuss it and the required position of the sun, using software for evaluating solar altitude and azimuth.

    U ovome radu izloženi su rezultati četvrte kampanje arheoloških i konzervatorskih istraživanja benediktinskog samostana i crkve Sv. Petra u Osoru na otoku Cresu održane tijekom svibnja 2009. godine. Ona su dio znanstvenoga projekta MIC-a za kasnu antiku i srednji vijek Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i istraživačkog centra ARTeHIS C.N.R.S.–a iz Dijona, te Konzervatorskoga odjela u Rijeci. Također su prezentirani prvi rezultati geofizičkih istraživanja koja su provedena tijekom zime 2010. godine na prostoru sjeverno, južno i istočno od arheološki istraživanih zona. Osnovni cilj ovogodišnje kampanje bio je dovršetak istraživanja sektora III, te sektora VI, odnosno dijela lokaliteta smještenog iza začelja postojeće crkve. Time se pokušalo utvrditi narav i funkciju građevina pronađenih u južnome i središnjemu dijelu istražene zone, ustanoviti sve građevne faze iz antičkoga razdoblja, a čiji su ostaci posebno uočljivi u jugoistočnom dijelu nalazišta, te utvrditi rasprostiranje i dubinu ukopa srednjevjekovnoga groblja. Naime, jedan od ciljeva istraživačkoga projekta, koji traje već četiri godine, jest utvrđivanje prostorno-arhitektonskih datosti lokaliteta prije i u trenutku osnivanja samostana početkom XI. stoljeća putem dijakronijske prostorne analize toga područja unutar zidina antičkoga grada. U istraživanjima sektora VI ove su godine po prvi put otkrivene dvije protopovijesne žare. Jedna od njih je istražena i na temelju analize ostataka metodom C14 datirana u X.-IX. stoljeće prije Krista. Taj pronalazak predstavlja najstariji sa sigurnošću datiran nalaz na području grada Osora i otoka Cresa. Na području istoga sektora, u sljedećoj se fazi, koju možemo okvirno smjesti u kasno liburnsko razdoblje, gradi građevina od koje smo otkrili dva segmenta suhozidne konstrukcije čiju tehniku zidanja možemo usporediti s onom primjenjenom kod građevina otkrivenih na otprilike stotinu metara od našega lokaliteta na sjeverozapadnome području grada. Geofizička istraživanja su provedena sjeverno, istočno i južno od crkve, na površini od otprilike 700 m2. Cilj ovih ispitivanja bio je dvojak: trebalo je utvrditi granice prostiranja prostorija i građevina koje su otkrivene u arheološkim istraživanjima na području istočno i sjeverno od crkve te provjeriti pretpostavku o postojanju samostanskog klaustra s galerijama južno od crkve. Na temelju preliminarne obrade rezultata moguće je navesti nekoliko zapažanja (sl. 18). Otkriven je nastavak ogradnog zida samostana čiji je segment otkriven tijekom istraživanja 2008. godine (zid 6.111). Taj je zid vjerojatno predstavljao sjevernu granicu terase na kojoj su bili smješteni samostanski sklop i groblje. Istočno od sektora III geofizičkim je istraživanja otkriven produžetak zida 3.117 antičke prostorije te njezini gabariti, kao i nastavak zida 3.113 koji označava poziciju južnog samostanskog zida. Zabilježen je veliki broj elektromagnetskih signala koji vjerojatno odražavaju zidane strukture, međutim njihova bi grafička interpretacija bila presmiona. Ipak, neke značajnije «reflektirajuće mase» bit će predmetom sljedeće istraživačke kampanje s ciljem preciznijeg utvrđivanja njihovih značajki. Nijedna od brojnih struktura koje su uočene južno od crkve ne može sa sigurnošću biti povezana s klaustrom s trijemovima. Međutim, ograničenja korištene metode istraživanja kao i poteškoće iščitavanja rezultata nameću oprez, i ove se tvrdnje ne smiju smatrati konačnima sve dok se ne provede arheološka provjera. Građevina koju je A. Mohorovičić djelomično iskopao pedesetih godina jasno se ocrtava južno od crkve. Istočni zid te prostorije proteže se dalje prema jugu gdje se prekida i nastavlja u smjeru istoka, a moguće je rekonstruirati i segment još jednoga zida koji mu je paralelan. Također su uz južni zid crkve uočene dvije dosad nepoznate prostorije, od kojih je jednu moguće interpretirati kao zvonik. U svakome slučaju brojnost signala upućuje na bogat arheološki potencijal ovoga sektora.

    Summary After the rediscovery of S. Frutuoso's Chapel (this chapel dating backto the second half of the seventh century) in 1987, the process of itsrestoration began in 1931 and was interrupted in 1938. Due to theinterruption of work on the chapel, it was gradually abandoned and rapidlydeteriorated. The disorganized urban growth of the city of Bragabecame an additional threat to the monument's scenic surroundings. In1987–88 began a process of revitalization on the monument. Of specialinterest are problems involving the conservation of the building andthe protection of its surroundings.

    This article responds to the interdisciplinary developments that choreography has undergone in the twenty-first century, in terms of a focus on relationships between dance, architecture, site and cultural heritage. It makes a claim for how choreography within the city manifests itself in the form of a public bodily act, as artistic boundary-crosser and socio-political agent. We explore this through the lens of a central case study: artist Anton Mirto’s Scaffolding (2019), a workshop-performance event for seven dancers sited within The Chapel of Many, an architectural installation by architect Sebastian Hicks and set inside the ruins of Coventry Cathedral (UK) as part of the Coventry Welcomes Festival’s Refugee Week. Grounded in an exploration of dance and architecture in terms of spatiotemporal relations following Rachel Sara’s (2015) framework of a transontology of architecture and dance and Rachel Hann’s (2019) concept of fast architecture, we argue for how the choreographic process of making Scaffolding speaks back to both the architectural space and the urban heritage site in which it is located and addresses a certain experience of temporality, history and memory. In turn, the potential political agency of such a performed conversation between architecture and choreography in the twenty-first century city is revealed.

    Innovative digital applications are invaluable for the documentation and conservation of cultural heritage monuments. Digital techniques can provide data on cultural heritage sites to enhance understanding of their changes over time. Due to the age and conditions of cultural heritage monuments in Cyprus, especially churches, there is a great demand to develop a methodology that is capable of digitizing both the internal and external church using a variety of non-invasive techniques as a means of storing and managing documentation data and metadata for providing comprehensive culturally digital and documentation evidence. In this paper, the integration of various technologies was used to document the 12th century St. Efstathios Chapel in Kolossi, Cyprus. The methodologies included data acquired by close-range images from Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and hand-held cameras, coordinates from ground control points using Total Stations etc., to document both the internal and external facades and relics of selected religious monuments. Thousands of images from the monument were taken using a UAV with a high-resolution camera. The images were processed using photogrammetry to provide a digital model of the church. The use of the HSV color model was used to examine potential anomalies in the structure. The combination of the technologies will provide a 3D model to document and identify ecclesiastical cultural heritage sites, which can be incorporated into a dynamic database and valuable resource to better understand the cultural heritage monument.     The Real Chiesa di San Lorenzo is a church designed and built by Guarino Guarini. This church, adjacent to the Royal Palace in Piazza Castello, is one of the most beautiful churches in Torino. It possesses a remarkable cupola, made by a series of nested octagons. The lower part of the church has no windows. The natural light is coming from large windows above the base of the dome and other smaller openings in it. Besides the high altar, we find in the church two lateral altars and four radial chapels. In the chapels, Guarino Guarini has hidden some paintings inside their double vaults. These paintings are visible only when the sunlight is passing through a specific oculus in the front of the chapel. This happens when the sun has the right azimuth and altitude. Actually, the architect had used his knowledge of astronomy and geometrical optics to create this effect. Here we discuss it and the required position of the sun, using software for evaluating solar altitude and azimuth.

    U ovome radu izloženi su rezultati četvrte kampanje arheoloških i konzervatorskih istraživanja benediktinskog samostana i crkve Sv. Petra u Osoru na otoku Cresu održane tijekom svibnja 2009. godine. Ona su dio znanstvenoga projekta MIC-a za kasnu antiku i srednji vijek Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i istraživačkog centra ARTeHIS C.N.R.S.–a iz Dijona, te Konzervatorskoga odjela u Rijeci. Također su prezentirani prvi rezultati geofizičkih istraživanja koja su provedena tijekom zime 2010. godine na prostoru sjeverno, južno i istočno od arheološki istraživanih zona. Osnovni cilj ovogodišnje kampanje bio je dovršetak istraživanja sektora III, te sektora VI, odnosno dijela lokaliteta smještenog iza začelja postojeće crkve. Time se pokušalo utvrditi narav i funkciju građevina pronađenih u južnome i središnjemu dijelu istražene zone, ustanoviti sve građevne faze iz antičkoga razdoblja, a čiji su ostaci posebno uočljivi u jugoistočnom dijelu nalazišta, te utvrditi rasprostiranje i dubinu ukopa srednjevjekovnoga groblja. Naime, jedan od ciljeva istraživačkoga projekta, koji traje već četiri godine, jest utvrđivanje prostorno-arhitektonskih datosti lokaliteta prije i u trenutku osnivanja samostana početkom XI. stoljeća putem dijakronijske prostorne analize toga područja unutar zidina antičkoga grada. U istraživanjima sektora VI ove su godine po prvi put otkrivene dvije protopovijesne žare. Jedna od njih je istražena i na temelju analize ostataka metodom C14 datirana u X.-IX. stoljeće prije Krista. Taj pronalazak predstavlja najstariji sa sigurnošću datiran nalaz na području grada Osora i otoka Cresa. Na području istoga sektora, u sljedećoj se fazi, koju možemo okvirno smjesti u kasno liburnsko razdoblje, gradi građevina od koje smo otkrili dva segmenta suhozidne konstrukcije čiju tehniku zidanja možemo usporediti s onom primjenjenom kod građevina otkrivenih na otprilike stotinu metara od našega lokaliteta na sjeverozapadnome području grada. Geofizička istraživanja su provedena sjeverno, istočno i južno od crkve, na površini od otprilike 700 m2. Cilj ovih ispitivanja bio je dvojak: trebalo je utvrditi granice prostiranja prostorija i građevina koje su otkrivene u arheološkim istraživanjima na području istočno i sjeverno od crkve te provjeriti pretpostavku o postojanju samostanskog klaustra s galerijama južno od crkve. Na temelju preliminarne obrade rezultata moguće je navesti nekoliko zapažanja (sl. 18). Otkriven je nastavak ogradnog zida samostana čiji je segment otkriven tijekom istraživanja 2008. godine (zid 6.111). Taj je zid vjerojatno predstavljao sjevernu granicu terase na kojoj su bili smješteni samostanski sklop i groblje. Istočno od sektora III geofizičkim je istraživanja otkriven produžetak zida 3.117 antičke prostorije te njezini gabariti, kao i nastavak zida 3.113 koji označava poziciju južnog samostanskog zida. Zabilježen je veliki broj elektromagnetskih signala koji vjerojatno odražavaju zidane strukture, međutim njihova bi grafička interpretacija bila presmiona. Ipak, neke značajnije «reflektirajuće mase» bit će predmetom sljedeće istraživačke kampanje s ciljem preciznijeg utvrđivanja njihovih značajki. Nijedna od brojnih struktura koje su uočene južno od crkve ne može sa sigurnošću biti povezana s klaustrom s trijemovima. Međutim, ograničenja korištene metode istraživanja kao i poteškoće iščitavanja rezultata nameću oprez, i ove se tvrdnje ne smiju smatrati konačnima sve dok se ne provede arheološka provjera. Građevina koju je A. Mohorovičić djelomično iskopao pedesetih godina jasno se ocrtava južno od crkve. Istočni zid te prostorije proteže se dalje prema jugu gdje se prekida i nastavlja u smjeru istoka, a moguće je rekonstruirati i segment još jednoga zida koji mu je paralelan. Također su uz južni zid crkve uočene dvije dosad nepoznate prostorije, od kojih je jednu moguće interpretirati kao zvonik. U svakome slučaju brojnost signala upućuje na bogat arheološki potencijal ovoga sektora.
